As long as you keep in mind that this is your neighborhood garden center and not your big box store, you'll leave happy. They have a decent but not overwhelming selection of annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs, herbs and vegetables. I have found their prices to be slightly higher than the big box stores, but to support a local, family business, I'm okay with that. For example, four pack annuals at Strange's are $1.79. At Azalea, they're like $2.49.

Friendly service. Located in the old Azalea Shopping Center parking lot.

We are new to the area and picked out a Christmas tree this past weekend. The staff is so friendly and helpful, the selection of trees was great, and the process was fast and efficient. Really positive experience!

We bought our Christmas tree at the garden center yesterday and it was a great experience!
They had so many trees to choose from and the staff was so kind and helpful! The trees are Virginia grown and very fresh.

Everyone here was knowledgeable and the stock was reasonably priced. The plants I have bought here have been healthy and are surviving the bitter cold we are experiencing. Feels good to support a great local business.

Very friendly, knowledgeable folks. Their prices are reasonable and they have decent sales as well. The family-owned business have an array of foliage. One time they were out of a particular bush, and they ordered a few for me and promptly telephoned when they arrived (they even set them aside when I explained I was out of town!). I love his mom and pop garden center.

Having lived a stone's throw from this hidden treasure I also have to agree with Michelle that, while the selection might not be along the lines of a Stranges, Lowes or Home Depot, the flowers and plants they do stock are of a much heartier variety then one typically gets from big box stores. I have also purchased basic plants here ( pansies, gerber daisies, violas, impatiens etc). This is a family run, local Garden Center and these folks stand behind what they sell.

They offer advise on planting and care tips and I would recommend this place for anyone who is needing more personalized service and the kind of recommendations that come from owners who know what they sell and how it performs in the local climate.

I really want to love this place, but I can't quite get there. They have lovely plants at good prices, but service is spotty. I've tried to go during their posted business hours only to find them closed more than once. Worse, when I was enthusiastically told they could look into ordering a specific plant I was looking for and that they would call me to let me know the options, I never heard back. There are other local garden centers that I'm happy to visit instead.

Great little neighborhood garden store, with really reasonable prices and great quality plants. I have never gotten a bad plant from this place, and the staff is knowledgeable and more than willing to make recommendations based on where you want to plant. Last year I bought an entire garden's worth of flowers from here (camillas, peonies, hydrangeas, dwarf gardenias, plus tomatoes, basil, dill, and pepper plants) and they were all awesome- and I do not have a green thumb. I got great instructions on how to plant and take care of them, and they are all thriving, one year later~!

This garden store is family owned, and they are super friendly and helpful. They will happily answer any questions you may have, they care about their customers and definitely take pride in their products. The quality of their plants and flowers is fantastic and I have also gotten some amazing deals on large planter pots that are a beautiful addition to my garden.
