B&V Whiskey Bar & Grille

Service and food is always excellent here. Best restaurant on the square. Ambience relaxing.

Extensive whiskey menu. Also, beer and wine.

We ordered Calamari 3.5/5, tuna tartare 5/5, herb crusted sea bass 3.5/5, and gnocchi 3.5/5.

Good restaurant, but the food is not worth the prices.

The service was fast and polite.

The gambrel al inferno was the best dish, the sauce was absolutely amazing.

The b&v burger was okay, it was nice that it was served correctly and the buns weren't soggy. However, it didn't come with any condiments except ketchup- these had to be asked for as extra. Is it worth $18? I don't think so.

Then, there's the crème brûlée which was good but more like a take of a crème brûlée, not that I was expecting.

I'd come back but maybe just for appetizers and drinks.

T is such a great waiter!! Ask for him. He's honest and will steer you to choose the right food. I enjoyed my B & V burger with cheddar so much, that I had to take one half home and have it for breakfast! My husband had the Cody burger, which had two big onion rings on it plus cheddar. Before all this, we shared a Caesar salad. And thank goodness we shared! No dessert this time

I must say, this was our second night at B & V. Previously we ordered the sea bass and dungenous crab ravioli. The piece of fish was just enough and SO tasty. But the unusual crab ravs were stunning. We had the warm berry crisp with homemade vanilla bean ice cream for dessert. And we waddled out!!

Each meal was fun and delicious. Background music not too loud. All servers were very polite and welcoming.
I recommend B & V for lunch or dinner! You won't be disappointed.

Visiting Sonoma for a girls family trip, and this just happened to be "the bar" we stopped in the most. I wondered in here with my cousin to grab a shot, thinking it was a Mexican restaurant. I have no idea why. I think just walking in it kinda had that atmosphere. So we walked up to the bar, and the bartender was awesome! He made us a margarita shot of some kind after we told him we couldn't do straight tequila that night haha. It was delicious!

After that, the next day we wondered in here a couple more times after walking around in downtown Sonoma square area haha. All the bartenders that helped us were so nice. We had a great time just sitting at the bar and chatting with them.

I wish I got any of the bartenders names, but again, they are all awesome and this was definitely our bar that we enjoyed on our trip here! Would definitely come back to eat here next time I'm in Sonoma.

First dinning experience. Great atmosphere and service.

The steak entree was well prepared, and tasty. The vegetables cooked perfectly.

The truffle fries were very good as well as the calamari starter.

Great server, friendly and attentive table service.

Food was great. Staff was great. We came with two wheelchairs and asked if we could sit outside even though it said reserved. They said yes and even moved the tables around to accommodate us. I recently had knee surgery and have to keep my knee straight out. They adjusted the tables so I could still sit up under the table. The food was amazing. I ordered a medium burger and my friend ordered hers well done. In many places they'd both be well done or both he medium. They got both right. I heard the pasta was great too. Beautiful presentation as well.

Best dinner in town along with a fabulous waiter. His name was "T". Seated promptly, immediate attention given to us providing water. I had shrimp and linguine which was excellent. My companion had a steak with mushrooms, excellent. Desert was another excellent experience. Warm berry crisp for my companion and I had tiramisu. Best dinner !

Amazing find in downtown Sonoma Plaza! Homemade pastas and great selection of drinks. Highly recommend!

Yummy burgers and great onion rings. Great place to stop in when out on the bike and know we're going to have a nice meal. We eaten in the park when Covid was going on and out on the sidewalk and numerous times inside and the service was always great friendly and fast. The dining room is nice Sonoma welcoming.
