My god, I love how they cook shrimp. It's absolutely lovely. It tastes so good.
However, fish was terrible. Maybe I got unlucky that one time I ordered some tacos with some Wahoo(fish) or whatever they call it, but it tasted like a mixture of rubber and rocks.
Everything else was great. Delicious. But not the fish. That fish gives me nightmares.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - David Q.Rancho Mirage, CA19919Mar 31, 2024
It's been a couple of years since my last visit. The dining room was clean and the staff friendly. The salsa bar is still very good and was stocked fresh. The pricing has gone up considerably with tacos over $5 and chips and guacamole over $8. We spent $43 for the two of us. The fish and shrimp tacos were a little too wet but the steak taco remains very good. I would probably come more often if it weren't for the price.

It's a decent place. My opinion is the burritos are the best. Get one with cheese on top. You'll definitely be full. As for the bowls and tacos here, they are okay. Nothing too exciting, but they are fine for lunch.
Good location. It's in Fairfax Town Center, in the back across from the movie theater. Employees are very nice and efficient. You can relax here for the most part, but weekdays lunch and weekends can be busy. The tables and chairs are comfortable enough for most.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mikal J.Mountain View, CA402829Jul 18, 2022
I came in here this evening to order some food, but unfortunately I came in fifteen minutes before they were due to close. So I skipped it. I did have questions however about some of their menu items, and I felt that whoever the female employee was with glasses was short and not helpful at all. She was not nice. If this employee was at all decent, I probably would have ordered the steak taco combo with the corn flour tortilla. I got the impression that she didn't want to help me, really more focused on joking with her co-worker. Her coworker kept calling her "negra" which is a slur in Spanish. The two of them probably thought that I wasn't fluent in Spanish. After that lousy impression from these jokers, I figured that I would roll out to the restaurant next door.

I haven't been here since well before the pandemic. Their operation is returning to normal. I was pleased to see that salsa bar was operating and well-stocked. I had my usual bean burrito smothered in hot source and salsa. It was as I remembered. Hopefully, I will be able to return soon,

They offer a variety entrees such as tacos, taquitos, and burritos. They also offer salads. Some entrees are available as bowls (not wrapped in tortillas). They have have a salsa bar that offers a selection of toppings such as salsa, peppers, and sauces with various flavors and heat. Fresh chips are served with most entrees. We usually have a Pronto Guacamole which is an order of chips and guacamole to nibble on while waiting for our meal. I like to get a plain bean and cheese burrito. I put it on a plate, cut it open, and then heap on salsa and hot sauce from the salsa bar. You order at the counter and receive a number which is called out when the meal is ready for pick up. They sell reusable drink cups that can be retained and refilled at a discount on subsequent visits. They only have soft drinks; no beer or alcohol is served. Discount gift cards are sold at Costco. They prepare orders for takeout; I believe you can order online. Baja Fresh has a catering operation. I've enjoyed their food at a few office functions over the years. This is one of the first Baja Fresh restaurants in the area. It is not as popular and busy as it was a few years ago. However, the food is still good. We've eaten at several of the Baja Fresh restaurants in the DC area and think that this is best managed and operated.

Great portion size and value. The nachos are my favorite, and it has been great to have the salsa bar return, as well.

Ok, so I've actually never been to baja! My my is a school bus driver and always gets little gifts and stuff for the holidays from her students. Someone gave her a gift card and well-- she knows I'm currently employeed at a non profit, in social work no less- so ya girls a little tight on the money. So I said, thabk you and decided to try it out today. Who doesn't like free food?!
Service was quick, like any old fast food place. I got the nacho pork burrito. Got it to go because I got off work a little early & wanted to eat in the comfort of my own home. So when I pulled this thing out to eat I was FLOORED by how freakin big it was. If I had known in advance I would have saved it for next week (spending the card) because who knows that when you can make one meal last two days, it's a very good thing.
It was pretty good. The pork was great! The only thing that made me sad is I should've just eaten it there. The nacho cheese hardened pretty fast :(
SO, the experience was a great one! You get what you paid for for sure. If you want a quick, inexpensive meal consider Baja Fresh!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Richard K.Arlington, VA0266Nov 21, 2022
I have an entertainment coupon that I use here. The cashier would not accept it. Food is just ok. I would go somewhere else next time.
