How is there Mac and cheese?

Pretty typical for this kind of restaurant: very cheesy and a little too soft for my taste (I'd prefer firmer pasta) but good flavor. :)

Bandits is our go to place for family dinners. We've been enjoying their food since the restaurant was on the other side of the alley. Never have we been disappointed. Rebecca was our server who was very attentive and ensured that all of our expectations were met.

Depends because still of COVID/-19.
Virtually no whatsoever coverage and especially when the came from old Camarillo one and/or just left altogether.
In which also goes for the temperature of the food.
That's also goes for it being more of the pricey side.
I mean with prime rib being market price for sure.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michael J.Simi Valley, CA143156Nov 12, 2023
It was VERY busy. We had reservations for 6 people at 7pm. We arrived early, and they suggested we wait at the bar - around 7:10, they asked if we would consider splitting into 2 tables, which we declined. The waiter took our orders, then returned to inform use that they were out of prime rib ( three of us ordered that ) so they suggested the Ribeye ( we should have asked about the price difference ! ) We all asked for Medium Rare ( both for the Prime Rib and then for the Ribeye ) but one was medium ( the waiter got it wrong and admitted that ) so, 5 of us ate while they other one had to wait. My Wife ordered the Skewered Shrimp - but they still had the black vein in them ( isn't that covered in ship prep 101 )
The steaks were great as were the sides and the portions were big. No one left hungry.
We ordered the Leilani's Mud Pie, it was delish. Complained about what happened to the waiter who said were ordered that steak medium ( he did not ) and the manager, who made excuses instead of your standard we are sorry, can we comp the desert ( they did not do that ).
I left disappointed.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Arec G.San Francisco, CA01Apr 29, 2024
Sketchy with their take out order. Clearly are not familiar with their own menu. Ask for a shrimp Caesar Salad, gave a cheap side salad with a skewer of shrimp that is more expensive then a straight shrimp caesar salad. Their menu online doesnt reflect their in-shop prices. Refills are not free as servers claimed. Over charge, poor communication, and service could be better.

I was in town visiting a family friend and she had mentioned that Bandits' is her favorite restaurant in town, so we decided to eat dinner there one night. WOW I was so impressed. First of all the interior was done really well, it had a great classic barbecue restaurant vibe, yet felt a little higher end than what you typically find. I got the baby back ribs and they were so soft and delicious. I also had a bandito margarita that I definitely recommend. I 100% will be coming back when I'm in town.

We had dinner at Bandits in TO last night celebrating a birthday. The service was great and the food excellent. Our server Amber and the Manager were very polite, friendly and very accommodating. I will definitely be back and highly recommend the restaurant.

I am very disappointed in my visit last evening. I usually dine here at least once every couple months and thoroughly enjoy their food. I took my fiance and son out for an expensive dinner hoping it would go well. I'll start this review by saying the food was delicious, but the service was horrible. We sat down and were greeted 15 minutes later for drink orders. Then, when ordering my drink I asked for a lemon in it and did not receive it. I shrugged that off because it happens and I'm not going to make a big deal about it. Then, my son ordered a lemonade and the waitress didn't even deliver it until 10 minutes later and didn't even say anything. When ordering, I had questions about market pricing on the prime rib sandwich because my 15 year old just orders anything off the menu without thinking about price, and the waitress completely ignored my question and spoke over me and continued to ask what he wanted. So again i asked and said I would like to know the price and she stormed away rolling her eyes and sighing loudly. She didn't even ask if we wanted straws with our drinks and we asked her and she acted the same way. She gave us attitude the entire dinner and never checked on us. We had to flag her over because we received the wrong sides and needed it fixed. Just terrible service. Not sure I want to come back.

This is a local classic All-American BBQ joint and it's still fantastic and delicious! We came here with my family to celebrate my father's birthday (we wanted to keep it chill and local).
What we ordered:
Brisket: so tender and delicious
Pulled pork: YUMMM...love the sauce!
Sausage links: not my fave but my parents liked it.
Onion rings: must order!
They even gave us a free dessert for celebrating a birthday with them. Will we come back? Most definitely!Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 1 - Dec 26, 2022
Stopped in here to have a quick lunch. They have a good variety of options to choose from. We opened with the potato skins, they had a nice unexpected twist. They had beans on them with some pico de gallo very very good!
I moved onto the original tri tip sandwich. I requested the Jamaican Jerk sauce but got the BBQ sauce the first times around. It was sweet & Smokey. The waitress had them remake my sandwich as requested, the jerk sauce was lacking in the Caribbean flavor but had good heat. The tri tip was juicy and soft.
Overall we had a good experience and will more than likely be back in the future.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
