I had heard of Barcadia but hadn't made the time to visit UNTIL they did a Home Alone pop up bar. I'll attach pics to show how unbelievably cool it is. I only got drinks so no food recommendations, but their theme menu looks great.
I hope this becomes an annual Christmas tradition.
As for the games area, I did play Mario Kart. There's an app you can download to play games. It's pretty pricey compared to my recollection of arcade games of my past, but it was a fun time.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 14261242Dec 13, 2023
visited this bar for the first time during their holiday pop up season and they did not miss!! the entire place is home alone christmas themed which is super fun and lively. we went during a week night so the place wasn't too packed as i could imagine it to be during the weekend. we were able to reach a bartender within 5 minutes of getting there and received our drinks fast.
they do have a holiday menu, which the cocktails were a bit overpriced for my liking, but it is the holiday theme that makes it worth trying!
this place is definitely a must try when visiting the city. lots of opportunities for cute photos!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 156254899Dec 9, 2023
Came here 2x for the Christmas pop up bar with friends in market square. I think it brings a livelier touch for downtown nightlife and really enjoyed the multiple rooms and spaciousness.
The staff at front door do a good job of ensuring for capacity as can get too crowded quick otherwise. Great atmosphere, cool free Photo Booth, and nice home-feel mixed with an arcade. All good vibes here so far and feel safe.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Mar 2, 2024
Wow this was fun! The food was so good! Get the demon blood bbq sauce! The bubble shots were hilarious too. This was such a fun place to get into on a whim of being downtown. I can't wait to come back and play all the Halo for only $10 a wristband for all the games! We even accidentally broke a chandelier above the foosball table in our excitement and competitive cheering. The staff was nice about it. There's a selfie station too that came through my phone days later.

Yesterday I was invited to preview the Home Alone holiday pop-up bar on the second floor of Barcadia that opens today (11/17) and wow, the decorations were incredible! The attention to detail was astounding and if you're a fan of the movie or of holiday pop-up bars in general at all, it's definitely worth checking out. The drinks were fine and reminded me a little of two ingredient college drinks.
We wandered over to the attached speakeasy that was The Plaza Hotel themed (it was bright but cozy) and got some cocktails there that we really enjoyed. I would recommend the Mr. Hector, Hotel Concierge that had vodka, lavender syrup, grand marnier, and lemon or if you're feeling a drink that reminds you of tropical beaches, ask for the off menu key lime drink. The bartenders in the speakeasy were super friendly and were great to interact with!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 6261120Jan 6, 2024
Visited during their Christmas themed bar and it was one of my favorite ones, the decor was amazing (not pictured) but had to get food as well. The nachos were HUGE and so delicious, and the hulk burger hit the spot! I'm also a big fries girl & these fries were perfectly cooked and tasted amazing! Didn't have much interaction with the staff other than the cook who was super kind when I picked up my order from the window!

The Home Alone theme for the holidays is cute. It's basically a giant open space to get as many people in as possible for the holidays and the drinks are a bit pricey and don't taste that great. It's more the novelty I guess of the holiday pop-up bar. I feel like the bartenders half pay attention to people because they know so many people are coming to check out the pop up. There are better holiday bars in the area with better prices and better service.

The drink menu didn't really seem like anything special for signature drinks. They have a list of beers as well. They have a decent variety of arcade games and pinball machines going all the way back to games like Asteroids from 1979 Atari for some of us older folks who remember Atari. You need cash to either buy quarters from the bar or the change machine, but unfortunately when we visited, the atm machine was out of order. We went outside to an atm to get some cash. It's a good spot to stop and have a few drinks and play some games.
Until 10pm, under 21 is allowed. If there would be too many kids there, I don't know if I'd be much of a fan. We were under the impression it was a bar for adults only.
If you want food, they have a food menu to order from Slider Vibes downstairs. This is definitely a plus for them because Slider Vibes has very tasty, quick menu items. - 875180Dec 19, 2023
I went with a group to see their holiday pop up bar for a friends birthday and we had fun. I loved the "you little jerk" drink. The whole place was decorated and the bartender was dressed up too!

The home alone bar was perfect. So detailed and creative. My son loved visiting it and seeing all the home alone post. We can't wait to go back.
