After hiking around on a cold and windy February day, I decided to stop by this long time establishment (used to be Reds) that underwent some changes not too long ago. I had plenty of parking options with street parking, a lot to the north, and a lot across the street....all free!

The bar has a double door entry, keeping the cold air out as I stepped into a lobby area. To the left: A door towards the outdoor seating and an ATM machine. To the right: The barroom entrance and the gender specific restrooms beyond that.

The note on the door advised that this was a 21+ establishment which was understandable because the bar & grill portion of the building was on the small side. There were plenty of stools lining the bar and a substantial collection of liquor. A single row of dining tables lined the wall beyond the bar.

What grabbed my attention was the actual wood fire burning in the fireplace which took the chill out of my bones and brought a great smoked aroma to the place without being smoky. I was greeted and chose a stool at the bar.

The waitress handed me a menu and also mentioned the day's special: Smoked sausage, potatoes, and green beans (with corn bread!) Although I've heard they have good tenderloins here, I decided to go with the special.

Almost immediately, my lunch came out. I hadn't realized that the special was served like a stew. I did ask for a fork since I thought the potatoes (yes whole ones) were too large to balance on the spoon. Fork in hand, I tore into the special and found it delicious! There were bits of onion which had added their flavor to the mix. I didn't ask, but I assume a chicken broth may have been the base which was very tasty. Oh, and the cornbread, served with room temperature margarine, was fresh and warm too!

Overall, the bartender was friendly and attentive and made me feel welcome. What more can you ask for? A good meal at a decent price with good service and free parking. I recommend this place for lunch and think I might need to return soon to give that tenderloin a try.

Good food and relaxed atmosphere. Tonight was their first comedy showing and the house was packed for Ryan Niemiller! The kitchen was backed up but the staff was trying and apologetic, they will get more proficient with practice. Great night!

Highly upset, came here because of all the Great reviews...my hand to heaven this is my true review of this place. Nice, little tiny spot. The staff is nice and they have a band getting set up for the night crowd. Now the food review we got the double cheeseburger and it was great, we got the tenderloin and it was great...we order the wing app and it was horrible...raw and so salty you couldn't gag them down. Not just me but i couldn't even get anyone at my table would eat them. I asked the waitress if she would take them off my bill with only 3 bites removed from them and they said they couldn't...wait....what...food that was not edible or even good enough to take home..she brought them back out and said I can't take them off the bill but I can throw them back in the deep Fryer so you can take them home..first no..they were nasty but to have you add them back to the deep Fryer with them having our mouths on them that's just gross..i love dive bars but this one we will not be returning.

Get the breaded tenderloin, chef salad or pizza. You will not be sorry. Consistent. Always fresh.

I really love our town of Bargersville, and the BBG is just the perfect place for a good burger and beer after a crazy week and good times with our friends. Nothing crazy on the menu, just good bar food, great beer and a cool juke box with an occasional band....... its not fancy but its good enough for us!

Great little hole in the wall bar if you're in the area! The prices are extremely affordable, the food is good, and the beer is cold! My group all left happy. Seriously, where else with today's prices can you find a grilled cheese and a side for only $2.50? I had the Bourbon Burger and fries and it was delicious. I also shared and enjoyed the hot cheese bites with ranch appetizer. Service was a little slow, but it was so busy in there because of an event that just ended at Taxman Brewery (down the street within walking distance -- stop by both places for a fun time!), so I think they were overwhelmed. It's a small spot. I'd go back if I were in the area.

Our favorite place! Great food, wonderful people. Just plain fun! The hand breaded tenderloin is the best I've ever had. The burgers and pizza are outstanding too.
