This is my 4th or 5th time having them groom my dog. I absolutely love their services. I've been there watching when my dog is being groomed and my dog loves it. She is very calm and enjoys it.
They are very gentle with her and always makes sure she is presentable when we get her back. I enjoy getting my dog back with a collar or scarf.
We recommend them 100%!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cat M.Kaneohe, HI0204Oct 5, 2017
Stephanie groomed my two mini schnauzers twice. The first appointment was great and I was quite pleased with the job done. During the second appointment, she discovered that one of my dogs had tapeworms (yuck!!!), which came as a shock to both of us, especially since the dogs were recently adopted from a reputable dog rescue. Stephanie and I discussed the situation and I immediately contacted the vet to get both the dogs a de-wormer. The appointment ended and the dogs both looked really nice. An hour or so later however one of the two dogs started squinting and trying to rub her eyes. As the evening progressed, her eyes were clearly quite irritated so I purchased a saline rinse and rinsed her eyes a couple of times over the evening. She was in obvious pain so I gave her a pain reliever (prescribed by her vet). I contacted Stephanie asking if she had any insight into why my dog's eyes were so irrigated. She asked around the groomer community and said it might be allergies??
In the morning, my dogs eyes were goopy and full of discharge and she wouldn't open either eye. She was in pain so I contacted her vet and was seen that afternoon. The vet listened to the timeline of what happened and then examined her eyes, and then stained them. The damage was extensive to both eyes and quite bad. The vet said she'd never seen it that bad and not in both eyes. She said she had her corneas burned either by forceful air in her eyes or by a chemical. She sent her home with narcotic pain relievers and anti-inflammatory as well as an ointment for her eyes. When I next spoke to Stephanie later that day, she said she didn't use a hot blow dryer during grooming and it possibly could have been an injury from "tools" she used during grooming. This comment astounded me and made me very concerned. What tool would you use that could damage both my eyes corneas to such an extent?? During the conversation with Stephanie she said "I just don't know what I can do to help her?" and "I feel so bad", but not ever actually taking responsibility for what happened or apologizing for it. We incurred hundreds of dollars in vet bills and after paying $200 for the grooming I am feeling like my dogs were nothing but chopped liver, not valued clients. My vet later explained that this type of thing is not that uncommon and she see several cases a year where a groomer puts a dog in a kennel or cage or straps them to a tether and then leaves a air blower on them to dry them before trimming their coat. She said it doesn't have to be hot air, even cold air directly to the face can dry out they eyes ("wind burn") and cause damage. If not treated quickly, this can lead to blindness. She provided special gel like drops to instill in both dogs eyes for any future grooming to avoid this. She said she sometimes sees dogs who have they head out a car window with this same eye damage. A professional groomer would know this and prevent this by avoiding blowing air directly on a dog's face like that. I told Stephanie all of this and said that I hope that this is a learning moment for her. For me, I won't use her services any longer nor can I honestly recommend her after this ---- this is something totally avoidable and a skilled, experienced and professional groomer would know to make sure this doesn't happen. A sad ending but a wiser dog owner.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - L P.Santa Rosa, CA09Apr 14, 2017
Stephanie was amazing from the first phone call to the end of the appointment! She was on time and did an amazing job with my pup. I had tried to book appointments with other mobile groomers and I had seen her truck in the neighborhood and gave her a call!! She saved the day!!! Stephanie and Barks and Bubbles is my only go-to dog groomer from now on!!!!

My dog was treated very poorly by this service. He is an older dog and I asked her to please use scissors and not clippers because of all of his raised skin bumps. He was returned to me with a number of bumps that had been cut and bled. I guess she was in a hurry and didn't care about my dog. I will never use this service again.

Stephanie is the best! She comes right to your house and it's so convenient. Her rates are reasonable and she's a really nice person. I sometimes get a little nervous to leave my dog in other people's care, but I completely trust Stephanie. And my dog (a yellow lab and low-maintenance) is out the front door and back in an hour. And she only has to walk to the curb for her grooming, instead of a long car ride and then 4-5 hours at the groomer. I highly recommend this service for it's convenience and comfort for your pet. She's really great!

I loved Stephanie! She was awesome with my little Killer! She parked he mobile right outside my house... the neighbors must have thought I was high maintenance not grooming my own dog. But hey! Aww I'll always remember this day! It makes me sad to say Killer is no longer my son but will always be missed :( XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOOXOOXOXOO!!! I love this service! My pup gets great care, without having to travel, and I can go about my day as normal. She is great, very kind, and treated Oreo awesome! If you ask Oreo what his favorite part is, he'll say the blueberry facial :)

Stephanie is terrific, caring, thorough and gentle with our Chip, a small terrier mix. We have used her services for 18 months and her coming to us is an added bonus.

Stephanie is a real pro. Her rates are very reasonable given the convenience of having her come to our home and the results were great. I just booked with her again - what better recommendation is there?
