Nice find. Great bourbon selection. Nice indoor atmosphere, could even add couches in the more center area. Back area is good for an outdoor hang with the faux grass. Good service!

WOW! This is the craft cocktail experience we have been impatiently waiting for in Polk County. Our favorite bartenders are Cody and Chelsea- and OMG they make a boulavardier that rivals the best bars in Manhattan. We love the casual atmosphere and unobtrusive service. 10/10

Cody is the man! If you drink bourbon or whiskey, their selection will make you warm inside! Not big, but ample seating, big wall connect 4, outdoor seating for those of us who smoke cigars, a jukebox with all genres, and bring your food in! Solid bar, great folks!

So glad I stopped by while in town and had some time to kill. The old fashioned cocktails were amazing! Highly recommend!!!

Awesome pace! Cody the Bartender did an awesome job of helping recommend drinks for each member of our 8 person party. Showed us how he made the old fashioned and where we could get some of the equipment. Truly a gem of a place!

Love the atmosphere in this place. Just a laid back type of vibe. Yet another place I hit up on my bday (hey, what can I say...I'll use any excuse to eat or have some drinks). The bartender was a really nice guy. So many options for drinks here, a lot of great whiskey selections. Met some really friendly customers. They have darts too. Definitely a place to go if you want to hear your group, it's not a loud bar.

Really cool spot. Great selection of whisky. We will be back for sure. Also love the outside area where you can bring your dog. Bartenders are super nice and have great suggestions if you're curious to try something new or different.

Im new to town and it was my second time coming to barrel and i came with a group of 8. Was there for three hours and all seemed well. Was buying drinks for myself and my friends throughout the night when one of the bartenders asked to see my ID. Common practice understandable and they asked for it 3 times earlier in the night with no problems. This bartender (guy with the ponytail think his name is Tyler) however refused to serve me. I was very confused since i was there for 3 hours and he was letting me buy drinks for other people. He said he didn't trust my New York State Enhanced ID. I offered to even provide other forms of ID and he told me he has the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason he wants. I said to him thats totally fine i will just ask another bartender for my drink. After getting a drink from another bartender he tried to take it back from me. Then he told me to leave. This seemed very personal to him and he was trying to embarrass me in front of my peers. After leaving and going outside i was talking to a few people in there who were actually underage and he served. I wish i knew why he targeted me like that and was very rude to me from the start especially since i offered to provide other forms of ID. Its really unfortunate because a couple of my friends frequent this place and we will have to take our business elsewhere for the silliest of reasons.

I was incredibly impressed with Ashta's knowledge of Whiskeys and her desire to keep learning. I had an incredible tasting of Jefferson Bourbon and she explained the differences with incredible confidence. My favorite was, of course, the most expensive - Jefferson Grand Selection Chateau Pichon Baron - French Oak Cask Finish. That will be hard to find, but almost as worth it as a trip to Barrel 239
