Very kind people! Very eclectic. Some antique estate beads too. All price levels. Sterling findings as well as budget findings.

I visited this lovely shop in the summer of 2019. Oh man, I had no idea when I went there on a short vacay from Seattle, that it'd be my last trip to PORTLAND for a good 2-3 years. I can't wait to go back after this terrible pandemic is over. There's a great selection of beads here, at good prices. The owner is friendly and helpful too, so if you have any beading questions, bring them to her. Highly recommend this joint if you're a jewelry maker or just a bracelet-making dabbler (like me).

While visiting Portland my travel was delayed, causing me to be overdue to complete a jewelry project. Because I hadn't brought all of the supplies necessary I couldn't work on the project so I rushed to Beads at Dusti Creek, arriving 10 minutes before closing. Whoa! I could not believe what a well stocked shop I had found!!! And the shop owner was so kind, staying after closing while I rushed around buying the things I needed, and a lot more ;) so that I could keep working on my project from my hotel room. This shop has a great selection of gem beads, findings, and thread/cords. Honestly, it was better stocked than my home shop. I will hit this store again on future visits to Portland!

I drove across town because this had good reviews. Two people were working when I arrived. One gave no eye contact and actually seemed like they avoided me with body language. Another customer was in the store when I was there and it seemed like that person was "their target customer" because they got all the help and attention. When one person did attempt to help me I found them condescending. Overall I was looking for higher quality/more selection for both real stones and findings than available here. No surprise that online shopping in taking over when this is the type of in person experience you get. I'm being generous with 3 stars frankly. Also no parking in this area I circled several times before I found anything.

This place not only has the cutest and largest variety of jewelry and beads, but the environment is exceptional! The workers are all so nice, and there's a little dog in the store my friends and I got to spend time with. The customer service, aesthetic, and overall vibe is great. Will definitely come back!

This is my favorite bead store in Portland. The staff has always been accommodating and I was sad to say goodby when I moved to California. Fast forward to a year later and my mom, sister and I decided to stop in to pick up some supplies and head to the cafe next door to do some beadwork. Dusti, the owner, invited us to use her workshop room so we wouldn't have to go next door. How convenient! She happily pulled out boxes of tools and bead mats for us to use if need be. This way the three of us could run out if we needed supplies and add it to a tally sheet. We ended up staying for close to four hours! We had a great time catching up and beading. This is a prime example of excellent customer service :)
Apart from that, Beads at Dusti Creek has an excellent selection of seed beads, findings, loose beads, Czech glass, semi-precious, books, magazines and fun little bags of discount beads. I have never walked out empty handed. This is one of the best bead stores in Portland so check it out!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nancy A.Portland, OR026Jul 2, 2021
Just an excellent bead store with a large inventory and very helpful staff. Been shopping here for years.

I recently got into making beaded bracelets. I've been buying online (wow, etsy has some amazing stuff!) but decided to try a local store. I was pretty disappointed by the selection -- there is not much by way of seed bead size/color or gemstone size/color. I also got a negative vibe from the clerk who, when I asked about a turquoise strand, said "it was very expensive." I had to point out that we may have different ideas of expensive (seeing as that she works in a bead store and that I, well, don't), and that I would still like to at least see it. The strand was unremarkable, if not colored by the negative experience, and I left empty handed. I'm glad to see that they have overall positive reviews and I hope my experience was an anomaly.

This is a beautiful store -- pleasant, with tons of natural light through the large windows. The beads, cord, etc (all the things they have for sale) are very well organized and easy to see for a visually-oriented person. Staff are super friendly and the "vibe" I get is that they genuinely love their work, love people and jewelry projects, and are happy to talk with people about what they're making. That kind of vibe is contagious! It is so much fun -- highly recommend.

The woman working there was very helpful and friendly. They had hand sanitizer at the front and the people wore face masks. Great sections of beads, would definitely buy more some time.
