My husband and I can't express how grateful we were to be able to work with Peggy and Beloved Doula. I had to be induced at 37 weeks and my labor was LONG! I went in on a Saturday afternoon and delivered on a Monday morning. Peggy was there and supportive the whole time- she even managed to take pictures. We were able to ask her advice and support prior to her arriving at the hospital. Once she was there she helped me navigate my challenging labor and get into positions to help move labor along. I probably would have had a c section if she was not there. Cannot recommend their services enough.

Peggy has a unique ability to remain calm and reassuring when things do not go to plan. She was invaluable to have as part of my birth journey. She is unbelievably knowledgeable about every aspect of birth. She is willing to share the good and bad, but has the ability of extreme discernment for when sharing her opinion is appropriate. She is not pushy and is truly there to help you with what you want for your birth. I felt very prepared for birth after speaking with her several times and she made sure I could focus on birthing while she dealt with other interruptions. Things like getting the bed set up for laboring on all fours, keeping the lights low with calming electric candles, reviewing the pros and cons of the options presented by the dr, helping me get into appropriate positions to avoid stalling labor, and much more.

This review for Peggy is long overdue! I reached out to Peggy when I was only 9 weeks pregnant. I knew I wanted to work towards having a natural birth and was told having a doula was essential. I filled out an inquiry form and she immediately got back to me. We set up a Zoom interview and right off the bat, I knew she was the doula for me. She was so calm, well spoken, and so experienced. I didn't even bother looking further for any other doulas because I knew I wanted to work with only her.

Booking Peggy early in my pregnancy was a complete God send. Any time I felt anxious or worried about my pregnancy, I reached out to her and she immediately helped to calm me down. Through the package I booked, my husband and I also did hypnobirthing classes (through Empowered Beginnings with Ciarra). Loved the classes and even met other pregnant mamas who I am still friends with today. My husband and I learned so much about labor and delivery. It made me feel more confident as my pregnancy progressed and as the due date approached.

I ended up going spontaneously into labor 2 weeks before my due date. Unexpected and a complete surprise but Peggy was supportive every step of the way. She provided text support while I labored at home. We eventually reached out to her to come to the house and after seeing me in person, she knew it was time for us to head to the hospital.

I unfortunately experienced a significant amount of back labor due to my baby's positioning BUT Peggy remained next to me and my husband every moment at the hospital. Although I was in a significant amount of pain and exhausted from laboring for so long, Peggy helped to keep me calm and focused on delivering my baby girl safely. She never left our side as I pushed for 7 hours. She helped me and my husband make informed and important medical decisions. I honestly couldn't have done it without her physical and emotional support. She also took so many photos and videos so that was a nice surprise to have to look back on. Especially when you are in la la labor land and going in and out during active labor. She remained with us after our baby girl entered the world and although it was such a long night, she remained present, patient, and supportive the entire time.

She is literally a saint and incredibly patient and kind. If you are lucky enough to be able to get on our calendar, I would say book her immediately. You will have zero regrets! I can honestly say that I couldn't have experienced this natural birth without her and if you are wanting a natural birth, you definitely want someone like her by your side!

Working with Peggy as our birth doula was the best decision I made for the arrival of our son. And I wouldn't hesitate to work with Peggy again or refer her to anyone considering a doula. Do it. It is the best decision you can make to ensure a better birthing experience.

In my situation, I was scheduled for a c-section for my second child. I remember how stressful and difficult my first C-section was but at that time I had a large network of support including my parents, in laws and relatives. My situation was very different this time around because now I don't have any family close by and I have an older child that needed attention and care. I didn't want to add that pressure on myself and my husband so a doula was the perfect choice. And boy did I get lucky by deciding to work with Peggy.

Peggy's calm and peaceful demeanor allowed me to stay calm when things went haywire on the day of C-section. Yes even a scheduled C-section can go awry which was solely because of the hospital's negligence - more on seton's handling of my delivery and postpartum in a later review. But wow was I glad that Peggy was present for this fiasco. She helped guide us and give us suggestions how to handle the indifferent nurses that were clearly having a bad day and making up BS policies. Otherwise I would have been a complete mess stressing about my situation. She helped me just roll with it. During the C-section I was so grateful to have her serene voice guiding me through the procedure and holding down my shaking arms. I was so surprised that she was able to simultaneously snap over 100 photos during the procedure. That alone was a huge benefit to her presence. I now have a beautiful record of the arrival of my son which my husband would not have captured on his own.

Since delivery, Peggy has been a wonderful resource for breastfeeding. She is also a lactation consultant so extremely knowledgeable about proper latching, positioning, etc. and. Her knowledge and experience is invaluable which has allowed us to have a wonderful breastfeeding experience.

I can go on and on about how wonderful my experience with Peggy has been but I think you get the picture at this point. If you're reading this review, don't contemplate any further and just hire Peggy.

I chose Peggy to be my doula for my first birth, and WOW I really could not have done it without her. Peggy worked with me and my husband while I was pregnant to make sure that we were informed of our choices, which helped us create a birth plan.

She was excellent during my actual birth, and provided so much comfort and support during my unmedicated labor. She also helped my husband support me by showing him counter pressure exercises and soothing techniques that helped tremendously. Additionally, Peggy was able to photograph my labor and birth. She took a video of me meeting my son for the very first time that I have watched over and over again.

Her postpartum support was also amazing, she helped me through a breastfeeding issue and was always a text or phone call away.

Cannot recommend Peggy and the BeLoved team enough!

Peggy is so amazing! Immediately upon meeting Peggy, I could sense how calming and knowledgeable she is. My husband was a little skeptical about having a doula, but after meeting Peggy, he remarked how happy he was that we had her and how much better he felt about me going through the childbirth experience. She was always there to offer support, answer any questions, and always made me and my husband feel so comfortable. Unfortunately, Peggy got sick right before I went into labor, but she found us another BeLoved Doula to attend our birth (Melissa- who was also wonderful and helped us so much with some labor curveballs that got thrown our way), and she constantly checked in with her and still let us know that she was supporting us and was there for all of our questions. Her communication throughout the process was so smooth and seamless. Throughout my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, Peggy was always there as a resource, a sounding board, and a constant source of encouragement for both me and my husband. I highly recommend Peggy and BeLoved Doula care to anyone looking for a doula!

I'm SO immensely grateful I found Peggy and hired her for my latest pregnancy. She was a fantastic resource throughout my pregnancy and I truly could not have had the amazing natural VBAC I did without her loving support during labor. We loved every aspect of adding a doula to our birth team- I cannot recommend Peggy enough!

Peggy, and Sarah were absolutely exceptional from start to finish. Peggy from the start was so patient, attentive and thoughtful throughout each phase of the process. This was our second baby and wanted to do things a bit differently.

Peggy, listened to all requests, and was there to advocate for me, and during my short and quick labor she made sure I was hydrated, nourished, and comfortable. Honestly couldn't have asked for a better and beautiful birth experience. So glad we chose Peggy and our postpartum doula Sarah who was also super phenomenal!

Sarah was with us for 3 weeks during my healing and postpartum- and could not recommend it enough. You need your rest and recovery, and as someone who is type A, it's takes a lot for me to relax. She made everything easier. From meal prep, to making sure our evening arrangements with new born was comfortable- it was a beautiful experience. Don't hesitate- these first few weeks/and months as a family you should be supported fully.

At the start of the birth process, I wasn't sure what Doula's role was in the process. Throughout the process, I saw what an invaluable service Peggy provides to her clients. My wife and I feel so supported throughout the process, and I strongly recommend Peggy to anyone navigating the world of childbirth and post-partum support. She always made us feel calm and was super supportive during our birth. After the birth, she went above and beyond to support two overwhelmed parents. She is always responsive to all of our questions even my silly ones!

      Thanks, Peggy!

I had a tremendous amount of fear and anxiety about birth even before I was pregnant with my first child. When I decided to pursue a Doula, I found BeLoved fairly quickly and instantly felt connected with Peggy from our first call. She had exactly the calm yet confident demeanor that I wanted to be a part of my birth team.

Peggy helped me navigate some very confusing and conflicting recommendations from my provider and helped me feel confident in my decisions. She was the one consistent person in the room throughout my labor (aside from my husband), and I am certain that I would have had a completely different birth experience without her.

I cannot recommend BeLoved Doula Care enough!
