I cannot thank the team at Bionic Emergency Services enough. We had a leak in the bathroom on the second floor. The water did not run to the middle of the room but rather straight to the wall. I do not know how long the leak was there before I heard the dripping inside the wall from the ground floor bathroom below. Even then I could not see a problem because of the where the leak was. Once I got down on the floor, I could feel that the sheet rock was wet and the baseboard was swollen.
I told my wife that I was going to have to tear in to the walls upstairs and downstairs. Being the smart lady she is, she encouraged me to call Bionic Emergency Services. They had a technician to our house within an hour. The technician had very hi-tech equipment that could measure the moisture content of the sheet rock and the space between the walls. Without even having to break in to the sheet rock, Bionic was able to set up dehumidifiers and fans to dry everything out. It took about three days to get completely dry. The technician came out every day and did moisture analysis.
The baseboards that had gotten wet and swollen had to be replaced. Repair costs were minimal compared to what it could have cost had I started just ripping walls out.
Bionic's technicians were knowledgeable, courteous and very meticulous about their work. They left my home cleaner than they found it. They were honest about the work that was required. The price for the work they did was well below what I was expecting. I honestly cannot say anything but positive about the whole experience.
God forbid we ever have a major water damage or high water flooding event, but if I do, you can bet I will never call anyone except Bionic Emergency Services.
Thanks Bionic!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lexi E.Katy, TX124Apr 5, 2024
WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE! Unfortunately, I read reviews that were not on yelp or strictly about the water remediation work. My mistake was not investigating their build back work! The entire process, which took over six months, was horrific. They hired some people off of Facebook marketplace to do the work, which I was unaware of until one of the guys told me. There was no supervision by the supervisor assigned by Bionic with the exception of coming by maybe once a week to drop off supplies. The owner was verbally abusive and told me to leave them alone and let them do their work. That resulted in me taking pictures at the end of the job to show him to which he had to admit, needed to be fixed. That was an understatement. As I saw in another review, the work was extremely poor, and had to be redone, partially by Bionic, and partially by myself out-of-pocket. All they want is the insurance money and they want you to nickel and dime the insurance company which we did not, which made the owner mad. The owner was relentless about wanting to be paid for services that never happened. This was easily the biggest nightmare I have ever been through! This is a family type business where everyone is best friends or relatives, so you have no recourse within the company. Please read the other yelp reviews. Those are exactly representative of this company.

If anyone mentions Bionic to you - don't walk, run like Hell!!!! I had a half-flooded house and someone at Weeks recommended them. I didn't have time to read reviews due to the standing water in my house. So I called Bionic. Worst mistake I've ever made. The water remediation was decent but the build back was horrific and I mean HORRIFIC! They screwed up every single thing that they did. Every single thing. The painting was the worst. I've never seen painters who didn't want to paint before. These guys did not want to paint. They painted willy-nilly all over my house just doing whatever they felt like. I had drip marks everywhere, places where they decided not to paint. My house was the biggest mess ever. I had to go out and spend $15K to have someone else come in after them and repaint my house. And make repairs to the jobs that they did. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND CALL SOMEONE ELSE! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND LUXZ PAINTING AND CONSTRUCTION. THEY CAME IN AFTER AND PAINTED AND DID AN AMAZING JOB! SO, DON'T CALL BIONIC! CALL LUXZ!

CROOKS! Packed empty boxes in boxe, one pillow per box. Trying to charge $3200 to return contents of two bedrooms. Not an entire house.... Just two guest rooms.
Stay away from these people! Reported them to my insurance.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ruati Buongpui J.Montrose, Houston, TX01Nov 4, 2023
They just fix the leak in our house, they are so slow to get it done, and they are very disrespect to our furniture and gym equipment, they disassembled our workout machine (SF3 Inspire) and refuse to put them back together, now we have no clue how to put them together, we look around and there seem to be lots of missing part.. I am so disappointed to this company they have zero respect to other property/belonging

Restoration - BEWARE.
Substandard, unfinished work, quality (well there is none).
But they will charge for work not done, forge your name on documents stating work is complete to your satisfaction, to get paid, and steal your personal property.
If you can't afford to hire a lawyer to get the job finished, correctly, and get your property returned, then do due diligence for the restoration portion.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Debra L.Pasadena, TX011Jun 25, 2023
I do not recommend this company. Beware of any company offering reconstruction services. They act as a general contractor and hire subcontractors without checking for criminal records. Insurance companies will allow them 10% profit & 10% overhead of their costs (total 20%). The company may attempt to charge the homeowner 40% and if you don't have all fine details such as this stated in a contract, they could potentially put a lien on your property for the 20% the insurance company will not pay them. Beware of vague contracts that commit you without spelling out all of the details. I had this unfortunate experience with this company, and it was quite some time before I got my money back after I terminated the contract. The owner refused to listen to my complaint about his employee who lied to him, and I was treated very disrespectfully as if I were the one who did something wrong. I was never given the required disclosures that are required by Texas Law. You are much better off screening your own contractors and paying them individually for each job that needs to be done. I only pay contractors after the job is finished. I buy my own materials & have them delivered so they don't have that cost, if possible. So there is no reason to pay contractors up front. Contractors should only be paid after the job is finished completely and correctly. Before you hire a contractor, ask them for a written estimate, line by line detailing each thing to be done, and the cost of each item. And remember, do not give them any money up front.

Four stars for the actual service of water mitigation but zero stars for customer service.
I had a pipe burst in the attic that soaked a good portion of my kitchen and parts of the entertainment area. Bionic services was recommended to me by the piping company that I had come out to repair the burst pipe. Water mitigation didn't even cross my mind for some reason so I went with the first option provided.
The mitigation service was great. A technician came out that same day, surveyed all of the damage, and had the fans set up in a few hours. He explained what he was doing, which chemicals he sprayed for mold prevention, and let me know that their crew would be out to survey the progress at certain times.
After the fans were set up on the first day, the technician explained that the company was charging $X amount of dollars that day and the remainder would go through my insurance company for the insurance claim. I provided my claim number to Bionic at this time.
Fast forward a few weeks, everything has been completed and I have settled everything with my insurance company. I met my deductible so all future costs would be covered.
I received an invoice in the mail from Bionic telling me that I had paid $X amount on the day of service but still owed an additional $Y amount to complete the charges. I called Bionic, explained that my deductible was met and asked then to contact my insurance directly. They said they would.
A few weeks later and I get another invoice stating I still owed $Y amount. I called Bionic again, explained my situation again, and Bionic told me that my insurance told Bionic that they were not covering this and that I had to talk to my insurance. The person I spoke to at Bionic was incredibly rude at this point and offered no help.
I called my insurance contact, explained the situation, and provided Bionic's invoice.
A few weeks later I get the same invoice from Bionic saying I owed $Y amount. I call my insurance immediately and they informed me that they provided payment to Bionic the day after I spoke to them and that Bionic cashed the payment two weeks ago. My balance should be $0.
At this point, I called Bionic and was not able to get through. There was also no messaging system. I waited a few days, called again and got the same results. I then emailed Bionic asking them to explain why I kept receiving invoices. I did not receive a reply. I called again and finally got in touch with someone who claimed that their system had malfunctioned and that I should not have been receiving these invoices.
I have since asked for a detailed receipt of all charges and payments but I have not received that yet.
This has been a hassle to deal with months after the initial pipe ordeal.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Alex D.Downers Grove, IL67755Jun 21, 2021
