While waiting for my car to get worked on at the dealership, they recommended and shuttled us to Blister's Barbecue. Great food from a BBQ place in a gas station. Tried the Pulled Pork sandwich to which they happily added coleslaw. Also ordered the Cuban sandwich. Both sandwiches were very good. The fresh-cut French Fries were cooked to perfection and served with fry sauce.
The proprietor also gave us a slice of the Brisket to sample as we finished up. Excellent!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Fatacus G.Boise, ID08Mar 20, 2024
Best gas station barbecue around!
Ribs are good, sides are meh. Worth the trip and you can fill up all your tanks there.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 23, 2022
We never pass on the opportunity to eat BBQ in a gas station, so Blister's has been high on our list of 'cue joints to visit in Idaho. Although we were unable to sample the ribs and the fried green beans, what we did try was very good, with an excellent price point. Shelling out a little over $20, we purchased a two meat (tri tip, turkey) platter with house cut fries, a side of scones, and 2 refillable soft drinks. Both meats had good smoke and flavor, with the turkey offering a moist and buttery texture that we thoroughly enjoyed. Both the fries and scones really hit the spot, so much so that we ordered seconds to go.
So, once again gas station BBQ really hit it out of the park! Blister's really lives up to its national reputation (Kelli Acciardo at Food Network ranked it in the top 45 nationwide), and we look forward to our next visit.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jan 2, 2023
I usually don't like BBQ foods but Blister's exceeds all expectations! Their food is always served hot, the meat quality is amazing, and their fries are crispy.
I've never had a cheesesteak before and I thought mine was very good. It was a bit heavy for me as it's a massive mound of steak, caramelized onions and cheese (but that's also what makes it so good.) The portion sizes are generous and it is likely you'll have leftovers to take home.
Pricing is very fair considering the quality of food and the amount.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Frank B.Woodbridge, VA01Mar 10, 2024
Had the BBQ burger/ sandwich, was OK. The amount of meat was great. the only issue was the dryness , there was no sauce. Place is basically a closet sized area in a gas station. There is no room to really sit, so to go is the main option. Prices high for a sandwich and no sides. Biggest problem NO outside advertising it's in a gas station .

We were hoping we found the Rudy's equivalent in Idaho but not quite
We tried the brisket and tri-tip, I would give the tri-tip a 8.5/10 it was tender and juicy but could use a bit more flavor.
The brisket was more like a barbecued chopped beef with sauce. It's was good but many of the pieces in the chop were dry, tough, and stringy....7/10.
The place was packed and we waited ~ 40 minutes for our food during a weekday lunch hour. Some people waited over an hour for their food.
Overall it was good and I would give it another try but was hoping for a Texas Rudy's.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Big M.Morro Bay, CA0101Mar 20, 2023
How In The Holy Name Of All Things BBQ Has This Place Have So Many Decent Reviews?!?!
Absolutely Terrible.
Tried Ribs, Brisket, Pulled Pork & Tri Tip And There Wasn't A Decent Bite Between Them.
Slaw Must Have Been At Least A Week Old. No Crunch And The Only Flavor It Had Was Best Described As "It Taste Like The Smell Of Dried Spit".
Mac N Cheese Was So Salty It Was Inedible. Tried Taking A 3rd Bite For Good Measure, Just In Case My Taste Buds Had Evolved...NOPE.
So Basically A Waste Of Nearly $40 For Two Of Us.
Oh And Just To Round Out The Review...Meat Was Not Even Room Temp. Mostly Cold.
2 Stars Cuz The Paper Was Cute. Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Joshua B.Salt Lake City, UT01Feb 7, 2024
Brisket is meh. The fries are bomb and the tritip is the best around! In a gas station so we usually take it back home.

Food is always so yummy!! It's definitely hard sometimes to find seating just because there isn't a ton of room I wish they would get a bigger location but overall 10/10

Best BBQ in the area. I grew up in Tennessee and I know my BBQ. This offers good BBQ (definitely the best in this part of Idaho) for a fair price.
