Shakes were pretty good and there were a variety to choose from. I ordered the Mr. Lava Luva and my bf got the Ube Mine. Mine tasted like a regular strawberry and cream shake- I didn't have a problem with it. My bf's ube shake was still kinda chunky because the ice wasn't blended thoroughly.
The staff was nice, place was clean, but the wait was extremely long. We waited for AT LEAST 30mins because we ordered Kono's and came in for drinks while waiting. Our Kono's order was a 50min wait. We came in after waiting ~10 mins in the car for the food.
There were customers who have came and went with their rolled ice creams. We waited so long- the shop closed and we were the last ones out AND we already got our food from Kono's. I think they forgot about us....

The staff was friendly & the big printed menu helped us pick our choices. We placed an order for 3 different types of ice cream rolls.

My friend got the acai which is +$2. They place bananas and strawberries on top so the extra charge made sense to me.

Berry mix = The strawberry waffle was strong. I wish there was other berries added. It's just strawberry, strawberry waffle, and the creamy goodness.

They also offer shakes and smoothies to help you satisfy your sweet tooth. Please be patient and enjoy the show while they make your ice cream rolls for you. :) This can cause the line to back up at times.

      Acai you later!

Cool ice cream joint if you're in the mood for something different. The texture of the ice cream is chewy and rough but melts like ice cream once eaten. The menu is great and diverse and not super overwhelming. I got the cotton candy one and the honey toast. Liked both.

I was a little put off by the atmosphere though. Not sure who did the decor, paint choices, and construction but it felt cheap and not well thought out. If I do go again, I'd eat my ice cream outside.

      Attn Yelp Community!

Much needed ice cream roll shop has opened its doors in Kailua Town! They've had a successful run in Mililani and with the owners history with Kailua it was a natural choice to expand to the Windward side!

We are personally very excited for this treat and so happy we don't need to cross the Koolau's for ice cream rolls!

Our first visit (many more to come) we tried the Honey Toast. It's vanilla with cinnamon toast crunch cereal, topped with whipped cream (optional) honey and cinnamon. When you order cream rolls it somehow makes the ice cream even creamier, which we love!

When in Kailua you need to check it out! Grab a Mahaloa or Pieology and finish off at Blue Bubble Creamery!

I first heard about this place from Twitter! Walking in, first thing you get is a wind of sweet smelling desserts, LITERALLY. Also music was bumpin' which I enjoyed.

Customer Service was awesome. You're immediately greeted with a smile. I like that they have multiple already put together combos of ice cream that you can choose from. They have a make your own that costs a dollar more, however you get 3 toppings and the toppings list is huge.

Watching them make the ice was quite a "treat" (see what I did there? Lol) but seriously. I'm not sure what the boys name is but he was SUPER fast with those spatulas. I posted it on insta and my friends thought I took it and sped it up. I was amazed. Did i also say that their portion size is HUGE.

I ordered the cocoa crazy, and my boyfriend ordered the berry special. For cocoa crazy, it was definitely chocolatey, however I wish they gave maybe one more brownie (if it's still possible to be made into rolls) haha other than that it was delicious and very filling. Berry special, I tell you not... tasted like HAAGEN DAZS strawberry ice cream. if you've tasted that ice cream, you know what I mean. It was also amazing.

For our first time, we were very impressed with the talent, friendly customer service and awesome ice cream! They even asked us how it was and if we enjoyed it which we did. Dont forget to ask for a stamp card as well. I wish I knew that first timers get 10% off when checking in :( but it was still worth every penny! We will be back (more than I should) Thank you Blue Bubble Kailua!

I will definitely be back! I do have some suggestions that could really help this place. It was Saturday and there were only two employees I would fix that asap, no one likes to wait on there icecream.

I know this place is new but these consumers wil eat you up alive If they think you are not being diligent, aka slow. So, I reccomend on days like Saturday, have more than two employees.

Very friendly employees greeted us with a smile and were more than happy To answer any questions that we had. Very cute place you can still tell it's new but the ice cream is good and the service was great, we will back for sure!

Flavor of the ice cream was really good! However, I had to throw it away half way through because there was a hair rolled up in a piece. At first it was a small piece so I pulled it out and continued eating because you can't die from a little hair (I think) lol- sorry if that grossed you out haha! But continued to eat and then seen more hair and was like ok yah I'm done. It was like one piece of hair fell out of the girls head and she chopped it all up in there.

      Pros:
      *Good taste

      Cons:
*After ordering we waited a solid 20 mins for it (crazy) but the girl gave us a $4 off for waiting so whatever

Didn't mention anything about the hair and didn't complain about the wait, just wont come back.

Awful. After a long day at the beach, I came here looking for a refreshing shave ice. The shop looks cute from the outside and I had high hopes, especially since I was famished and dehydrated. It took forever to get my shave ice as the employee ever so slowly poured the syrup onto the ice. If the syrup was molasses, sure, but it's not. Then I watched and waited as the shave ice was handed off to a second employee who seemed confused as to how to put azuki beans onto the shave ice since there was a giant serving spoon. She asked a third employee what to do. From there, she put on a glove, then spent several minutes painstakingly putting azuki beans around the perimeter area of the shave ice. I kept asking myself "Why?"

After finally getting the shave ice, I eagerly dug in. Unfortunately, the shave ice was absolutely awful. The syrups tasted like artificially colored sugar water- they were so watered down that I could barely differentiate between blue Hawaii and li hing mui, but I could taste the sodium benzoate preservative. In addition to a slight chemical taste, the azuki beans had a nasty, stale flavor, like they had been sitting out for days. It was awful.

I regretted my purchase and wished that I had instead gotten bubble tea from the shop a few doors down like my friends. Sadly, $5.71 wasted.

I ordered the Ube Mine and it was amazing. Not too sweet with a hint of coconut and vanilla wafer with mochi. If you're in Kailua area outside of Honolulu you must stop by!

Nice employees and a really cool business idea, but the atmosphere is lacking. When eating here, it feels like you're in a place that isn't quite open for business yet. It's like the owners painted the walls, put in some equipment and opened the doors. It's very empty and feels a bit awkward.
Also, I got the matcha rolled ice cream, and it was not great. The girl making the ice cream just dumped some matcha powder onto the ice block and then added some cream and azuki beans. The ice cream was a very gross texture because the powder wasn't dissolved in the cream first. It tasted like and felt like I was eating chalk. The toppings made it looks very cute and the rolled ice cream was aesthetically pleasing, but I just wish that the base was prepared a bit more before putting it on the ice.
I really like the idea of a rolled ice cream place in Kailua, but this place has quite a ways to go until it can be considered a legitimate business.
With that said, I understand that this is a brand new restaurant, I just wish it was more put together before they opened the doors to the public. I wish this business the best and hope to see some improvements made in the near future!
