Wow!
I've been following Guy Fieri on his trail of Diners Drive Ins and Dives and he has been on the money every time so far, so I stopped into the Blue Moon Cafe.
The place was poppin' which is a good indicator of great food. I sat at the bar and was greeted by a friendly staff member who gave some great recommendations. I went with the Hellfire Hash because I love chorizo, but stayed true to the DDD form and ordered the Captn Crunch French Toast which brought my taste buds to Flavortown!
Love the Halloween decor throughout the place and I loved the staff's tshirt even more as it read 'Bad *ss Breakfast' on the back which was absolutely true. What a pleasure to eat here!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 492182Jan 26, 2024
I've been here 3 times and never once has Blue Moon missed with their sweet morning treats. Listen, I know it's not the healthiest thing to wake up to sugar for breakfast but if you're gonna do it, Blue Moons the way to go.
This recent Baltimore trip around, I got their cinnamon roll, or "sin roll". At $7.50, you get a ginormous piece that will fill you for breakfast and lunch easily. Quantity alone is a 5* already but it just so happens to be the best cinnamon rolls I've ever had in my life. Soft and moist, melts in your mouth, and cuts like butter. It swims and soaks in a delicious and warm cream icing and it just makes your mind melt the stress away.
Came back the next morning again to pick up the Sweet Baby Jesus omelette and the Churro French Toast. So I thought both were delicious but the churro French toast was by far more satisfying for me. You can taste the sweet churro sugar embedded in the toast so nicely. The caramel sauce, whipped cream, and strawberries are a great complement to the dish. At $15, I'd happily get it again any day. The omelette itself sat in at $30 because it's stuffed with crab. I saw some comments say there was an insufficient amount of crab but I think otherwise - there is an ample amount of crab for the amount of food on that plate. I would just say it is a bit expensive for a breakfast dish and would probably not get it again - but it was good! Nothing super crazy but warm egg cooked the way you like, stuffed with hash browns, tomatoes, cheese, and decent crab. Ok to try once but probably not a must for the price point in my opinion. Go to Blue Moon for the sweets if you have a sweet tooth like me.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - A. P.Washington, DC02259Jan 24, 2024
This petite cafe, located in the Fells Point are near the Baltimore Harbor, was packed! We made it just in time to be seated without a wait. Soon as we hit the door a very friendly waitress welcomed us and directed us to a table across from the bar. The menu was full or interesting pairings. I decided to get out of my comfort zone and try some thing different, spicy chicken quesadilla with scrambled eggs. My aunt got the blueberry pancakes.
The servers were attention and the food came out fast. We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch and highly recommend. See my pics below.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 10, 2023
What might not look like much on the outside is surely deceiving to the inside.
We got our names on the wait list and waited about an hour but it is well worth it !
The inside is rather unique, an amazing metal stamped ceiling with somewhat of a gothic, Halloween type decor. Very inviting and really cool !!
Staff were hustling and extremely friendly, welcoming, attentive and helpful ......
The only word that I could think of regarding all of the food selections is "Twisted"
Each dish is very unique and prepared with culinary art and love and passion to give the guest a most wonderful taste bud experience !!
I would guide you to check their website for their menu, it would be too much to type ... Out selections were absolutely out of this world
Each dish is uniquely crafted and the flavors are perfectly twisted .....
If in Fells Point, you owe yourself to stop in and enjoy some breakfast or brunch ...
You can also BYOB ....
Outstanding !!!!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Leticia P.Germantown, MD52622Apr 15, 2024
I finally got to experience this establishment and O M G. We went about an hour before they closed and missed the brunch crowd. However, they did run out of some items we wanted to try. The food as pictured was Amazing. I enjoyed my French toast and did not have to put any syrup on it. The establishment was clean and comfortable. Ms. Nikki serviced us and she's a breath of fresh air. I will definitely be back ASAP.

Must stop here. This was honestly one of the best breakfast place. I've eaten at and a very long time. I am from out of town, and each time I come back in town. I will be stopping here to eat. The crab omelette was extremely different, very flavorful definitely a top choice! They offered the captain crunch French toast as a starter for the table, and that was a kick off. I would definitely recommend sharing the captain crunch French toast with more than one person unless you have a very big sweet tooth. It will be very hard to finish alone, but definitely a great treat to share with the table. I would skip the biscuit and the cinnamon bun. It was just very ready for me, however, the cinnamon bun does make the entire street and two blocks down smells so good! Service was super nice. Definitely get there early because the way he is very long. The inside is very small. However, the ambience in the set up is so cute!

This was my 1st time visiting this location and it is of course just as busy as the previous location I visited and of course for great reason .... Because the food is SLAMMING!!!
This location is a bit small however they've done a nice job with the seating arrangements and there's also a bar / dining counter as well. They don't take reservations so be prepared to wait (but it's well worth it) and their waitlist set up while old school (pen and paper) it is seamless as well :)
You honestly can't go wrong with anything you order but if it's your first time dining with them you must try one of their most popular items like the Captain Crunch French toast because it's second to none!
My Bombelette was a lump crab, spinach and feta omelette and it was amazing!!! The turkey sausage is also some of the best I've ever had (& I'm typically a pork sausage / bacon gal).
Overall (as expected) a great breakfast!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 4627462413Nov 8, 2023
Blue Moon was one of my favorite brunch spots due to the massive portions and creative touch they added to each plate. Their decor has an awesome eccentric witchy elemental vibe to it as well (totally here for it, love a witchy-rock vibe).
However, the sparkle of this restaurant seems to have dwindled. The bar area wasn't the cleanest and the staff seemed overwhelmed. I felt as if my presence as a customer was overwhelming to them. As if I was just another task for them to complete. Everything was rushed and yet the energy was off.
The plates seem to be thrown together and at a mixed temperature. Food was mediocre and a bit on the salty side. Pancakes here are always good though! In my opinion, for the quality and experience, the prices are a bit high now.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
