Definitely had a good time here. The happy hour eats were sooo bomb. It's also very affordable. We got about 5 different items with drinks& the bill wasn't bad at all!

The empanadas were my favorite! I'll definitely be coming back. It's not far from my office either, so this may be one of those new after work Happy Hour spots :)

      TERRIBLE SERVICE. TERRIBLE WAITRESS.
THEY DO NOT ACCEPT ROOM CHARGE

We are staying at the Westin for 10 weeks for corporate training. We only chose this restaurant because it is ADVERTISED on the Westin's website and were tired of eating at THE CAUCUS every night.

We ordered ceviche appetizer which was amazing. App came out really slow but it tasted good.

We ordered 2 entrees, both were good. The bad part is the service. The waitress NEVER BROUGHT US WATER. We asked if we could substitute a salad instead of the fries. She never told us a yes or no answer. We were left hanging while I food took forever with no updates. She just seemed out of it.. we waited for 10-15 minutes after our plates were cleared for the billl..

This is when the icing on the cake occurred. The server claimed WE COULD NOT ROOM CHARGE THE MEAL, again, the only reason we ate here is Bc corporate pays for meals at the hotel. THE RESTAURANT is listed as a DINING EXPERIENCE AT THE WESTIN. The hotel we are staying at.. for 10 WEEKS.. she didn't offer any solution except that's the policy..

She proceeded to get the manager.. The manager on 4/24 was the nicest guy and really apologetic. He told us it's no problem that we charge it to the room.. He claims they don't like to room charge but we can do it?! Why don't they like to room charge? Money is money, we have had no problem at another restaurants on property. IF THEY WISH TO Not accept room charge then they need to tell you or advertise it in the restaurant. What if someone really is traveling without money? What would you do?

Needless to say, We will not return to this restaurant throughout the duration of our stay. This is not typical for service at a Westin property restaurant. Food is decent but service alone is the reason we will not return. I

Boveda was our post All Staff Meeting destination for Happy Hour which is from 4pm-7pm.

The two Bartenders stayed friendly in the midst of serving the 30 of us simultaneously. There is plenty of seating options - at the bar, in the booths along the side of the wall, a community table in the middle, a small alcove with rolling chairs & square tables closer to the entrance & a semi-private table next to the bar.

I ordered the Sangria Roja that my Co-Worker revealed came with Brandy. The Bartender took no issue in remaking me one without as I ended up having three...they were so good. I did not consume any food as others did choosing from the HH Menu that offered a handful of small plates from Tacos, Empanadas, Skewers, & Wings to name a few.

Boveda is one of four restaurants located in the Westin Georgetown Hotel.

I went here last year with guests of the Westin. I was underwhelmed with the food and service. I vowed not to go back. Last night a friend insisted I go with him because he loves the margaritas. I begrudgingly went to Boveda because I wanted to try the margaritas, my favorite drink. I had a margarita, surprisingly good. I also had the sangria, also good. The I ate the three taco -shrimp, chicken, and beef, appetizer. It was better than many of the local Mexican restaurants and tastes fresh. I like the cilantro sauce that accompanied them. I will come back and try again because it is local and the bar tender was super friendly and helpful. He said he makes the margaritas from scratch. You can tell. No taste of those terrible mixers. I may go back soon because they were that good.

It's a quiet restaurant (at least on a Sunday night). I picked it with the desire to try something close to my hotel but be a little adventurous with the cuisine. It's a small menu with some specialty dishes. I had the Ahi Tacos and the Ahi was cooked all the way through. I wasn't expecting that and then it was in plank form. It was alright. Also had the queso dip which was all right as well. It was a nice place to catch up with a friend I hadn't seen in a while but I wasn't impressed. Check it out for yourself though. Waitstaff was nice.

Super disappointed, the chips and salsa were disappointing. The chips didn't taste fresh, and the salsa had a ketchup taste to it. The entrees of ahi and shrimp tacos were super bland and non-authentic.

Super disappointed after reading decent Yelp reviews. The female server clearly did not want to be there serving customers on a Friday night and seemed as apathetic as the food. The manager did a great job noting our concerns, and seems to truly care. The food served was not authentic , and overall is not a place I would recommend.

The free chips n salsa are horrible. The chips taste old, and the salsa tastes like ketchup...
Ahi tacos and shrimp tacos are the most bland Hispanic food you can imagine. Super disappointed after reading decent Yelp reviews online.

I came here for happy hour with some coworkers and we shared some happy hour eats with one another. The food was AMAZING! We got nachos, tacos, empanadas, brisket tacos, calamari, wings and fries! The food did not stand a chance. Everything was seasoned well, my favorite dish was the beef empanadas. I will definitely be going back with my friends.

Came here for happy hour for the first time with my friends yesterday despite the fact I have been passing by this place almost daily for three years.

The restaurant is attached to the Westin Georgetown Hotel and thus from the outside the restaurant is not terribly noticeable. It was rather dead despite the fact it was 5:30 going on 6:00 when we got there. The low attendance was most likely due to it's unassuming outside façade since the HH was pretty awesome in my and my friends' books.

They offer serval appetizers for happy hour ranging in price from $6-8. We got several appetizers (nachos, calamari, wings, empanadas, pork tacos, and chicken flautas). All were delicious with generous portions (particularly in regards to the calmari and nachos)! They have decent drink specials as well (margarita, sangrias, draft and bottled beer, and house wine) for $5-8. I got the sangria which slightly different from what I was expecting. Instead of citrus fruit, they used berries. I don't know if they use whatever fruit is seasonal or if this is the usual, but it was tasty regardless. Three of my friends got margaritas and they were all pleased. My one friend was particularly happy because Boveda carries imported beers from South America.

The staff was attentive and friendly. The inside has a modern, slightly swanky décor perfect for happy hour or dinner.

Hmm. Not the type of tacos I would go for. It was empty and expensive. I've had better tacos. I came here because I saw good review but this place just isn't that great for me

The food was below average. I had the french onion soup and it was awful, it tasted like it came out of a can. Also had the scallops and they tasted like they just came out of a freezer package. All was way over priced. The beer was good but also overpriced.
      The service was good.
