I had a great visit to Bright's Antiques in Franklin, KY. The variety was so good, but even better were the helpful staff. Jody was extremely professional and knowledgeable about items as well as locations of the many booths. Jody, Tony and Katrina were some of the most courteous, considerate people that I have met in the business setting. Bright's will be a go-to stop whenever I travel thru.

So this antique mall is mediocre as far as what it has. But that's not what's compelled me to write this review.
When you first enter the establishment, you are immediately greeted by numerous "anti-theft" signs and a requirement to store your bags in a locker. While I understand the concern about large bags, the excessive number of anti-theft and warning signs becomes overwhelming. The pictures attached to this review were taken within a 20-foot area, and the sheer quantity of signs is truly ridiculous (there were actually several more, but yelp limited me to 10 photos). They seem to be posted every few feet, no matter where you turn.
Additionally, most of the items in the booths are hardly worth purchasing, let alone risking potential arrest for. However, the main purpose of this review is to highlight the excessive number of signs present. I have never stolen anything, and I never would, but the level of distrust this place exhibits towards its customers is enough to discourage one from returning.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1Business owner information

Hello Justin,
I’m sorry to assume, but I suspect you have not, nor do you own, a small retail business.
You are the “1st” person to ever comment negatively about any of our signage.
Yes we do have signs placed at our entrance.
They address:
-our vintage market
-our free lockers for use for your *large bags, etc. (look at the photo)
Inside you will find ALL SORTS of signs including signs keeping you update about our future events, how to sign up for emails and more.
If you go into the restrooms we have signs about hand washing. (We had those up before Covid.)
I noticed you didn’t take any photos of those signs?
To address your concerns.
The signs you have an issue with are there to hopefully “deter” shoplifters.
Nothing is worse than discovering a person stealing, calling the police, filing charges..…. We hate it.
Unfortunately theft is everywhere and antique stores are not immune.
I’m sorry you found our place so disappointing.
It is obvious you are not an antique fan.
However we decided to put up a few signs instead of having an employee “police” you as you exit our building as Walmart, Sams Club and other establishments do.
Many people think our store is wonderful.
We have been in business over 20 years, and have won numerous awards.
We obviously must be doing something right?
We hope you will find another establishment more to your liking in the future. - Steve S.Hendersonville, TN02Feb 16, 2024
We have visited antique stores (malls) all over the country and this is one of the better ones. They have much to offer and the prices are reasonable. The staff are friendly and very helpfull. Everytime we are in the area or traveling through, we stop at Bright's. I would highly recommend this antique mall.

First time here and really liked it. Clean, bright and the staff was super friendly! We bought a bunch and definitely will be back for more- way nicer than the Flea Land in Bowling Green!
Loved that you could be given a number and have your purchases waiting at the desk where you check out ( a staff member would be walking around and take it for you)- nice touch. Everything was marked with prices and when we were finally done shopping ( about an hour later) and we went to pay EVERYTHING was wrapped and boxed waiting for us- another nice touch!
Can't wait to go back and bring home more treasures!!! Had some beautiful China and marked to sell!!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Chosen O.Oak Ridge, TN4356Jan 23, 2022
It's OK. A bit samey samey altogether. Odd layout but plenty to look at. Prices are ok. Parking lot is rough, dangerous and full of potholes. Mud spattered my car sides. Needs an upgrade badly.

Hello Chosen O
I’m not sure how to respond to your review?
I would like to ask you in the future that you PLEASE, PLEASE, take a look around before you post a review in the future.
Small business owners are dealing with a lot of factors post pandemic.
Bright’s Antique World is a small independent owned business, Owned by my husband and myself, and We have been in business for almost 20 years.
We have had the opportunity to support independents who want to be in business for themselves.
We allow them to operate their independent business without the cost of overhead.
These individuals do not do this as a hobby.
This is what they do to supplement their income or make a living.
So the best I can do is address the issues you mentioned and hope you understand where we stand.
First I will address your parking issue.
Brights Antique World is not in town, we are in rural Simpson county, (off I-65) in Franklin Kentucky.
We built our mall from the dirt up on an old cow pasture.
We are in the middle of construction.
It is Winter, snowing, raining, sleeting.
And, for FYI, we have personally scraped and re-graveled our driveway several times this year.
We have had dump trucks, skid steer‘s, bulldozers, etc. up and down the property for months.
Yes, there will be some potholes, how could there not be?
The construction is for a new outdoor market that will bring more opportunities for independent sellers.
This market will also bring untold travelers and income to our area which is greatly needed Post pandemic.
The parking issue will be addressed when the property is finished.
As for our malls layout? It is set up like a horseshoe.
Kentucky is known for racing, horses, all goes together.
We took notes from other mall layouts and made sure that when you come to our mall you won’t go down one hallway only to be stopped and turn around and come back.
There is a continuous flow, with benches for you to sit and relax wherever you want.
You are the first to make a negative remark about the flow of of mall.
Pricing: Each booth and showcase is owned by an individual. We have no control over the pricing, but you are welcome to make an offer.
And many dealers have sales all the time.
I must also mention, I do not support yelp in any way shape or form.
Yelp is one of the largest anti-business platforms online and I have had nothing but problems with them for years.
Unfortunately due to your recent review you have opened up a communication line.
I am now being bombarded with emails asking me to advertise. Prices range from $250-500.
Sincerely
Linda Bright

This place is amazing we have nothing like this in Louisville. It's extremely clean you can actually walk in the booths. Friendly employees. I live 2 hours away but will definitely come back.

Nice antique mall. Good variety of vintage and antique. A lot of glass. Facility was clean and friendly. We were here for about 45-60 minutes. We ended up with a few small purchases. Staff were helpful. Recommend and would return for sure!

This place deserves its 5 stars! Well worth the stop, just off I-65...and open on New Years Day as promised in another review. Well merchandised, an eclectic assortment of vendors, reasonable prices and helpful and friendly staff. My husband bought an old collapsible clothes rack for $35 (less 10%), that he saw at another mall for $88 and it was missing some arms. I was in the market for cuff links and found plenty...ranging in price from $1.99 to $400 (guess which part of the range I was shopping in?). We spent a couple of relaxing, enjoyable browsing hours and will stop in again if we're in the neighborhood next year. Great stop!
