I treated my husband to a haircut with the barber.
He was talented! Coming from nyc it was hard to find a styled haircut. This barber is so cool. We will be back!
The shop is safely run. Everyone wore masks. It was a beautiful shop as well.

Recently moved to Connecticut and wanted to chop off a significant chunk of hair (7-8 inches) - I wanted a low-maintenance (I don't own a blowdryer) style that still had some STYLE. I really enjoyed my experience at Byrde + the b - collarbone-length style looks great and was $110, very reasonable in my opinion for a good women's haircut. The stylist was friendly, quick, and offered to wear a mask if I preferred. She washed and styled my hair too! The salon is super cute and everyone was very nice.

Fabulous space in the middle of Washington Depot. NYC style meets country chic. Perfect spot to cater to all your hair care needs without having to drive to the city. They also have sweet items available for sale. Highly recommend! Pair with lunch at the Mayflower for a relaxing day of pampering.

Best haircut and experience I've had in quite some time. The salon is beautiful and so clean. The covid precautions were all met and I felt safe the entire time. To top it off, I had the most wonderful experience with Scott. Beyond the amazing new haircut I walked out with, I found a new favorite person!

Had a great haircut. Salon is beautifully decorated and very clean. I was very happy with the COVID precautions as well. Lucy has a real talent for hair. She understood exactly what I wanted and how to achieve it with my hair type. I would definitely recommend!

HIGHLY recommend this salon. I booked them for hair and make-up for myself and family for my wedding. First of all, Scott and Lucy are just really good at what they do. I went to quite a few salons in the area for a trial, and no one quite captured what I wanted like they did. Lucy just GOT IT, did my hair in about a third of the time as others, and used half as many pins and product -- the mark of a truly good stylist! They impromptu put a beautiful orchid in my hair, plucked from a flower pot in the salon, and it ended up being the signature piece at the wedding.
If you need more reasons:
The salon is beautiful (brooklyn chic meets hamptons luxury) -- it was the most fabulous, calming possible place to have a glass of champagne before the big event.
Scott and Lucy are FUN to hang out with. The place felt like their living room and everyone there was just so at ease.
Finally, the prices are very reasonable. Trust me, I shopped around. Given the beautiful space and excellent stylists I was sure that this was out of my price range, but it was cheaper than almost every salon in the area (and did I mention, better?).

Amazing! I moved from Los Angeles almost four years ago and had a very bad experience when I first moved here and had my hair cut somewhere in Woodbury. The whole experience at Byrde + the B was wonderful, from the amazing hair cut to the great coffee! Not too mention the nice conversation! Thank you for giving me someone I trust again!
