This was a sweet little gem in Nice with amazing food and lovely staff. A very small and charming restaurant that has a select menu of fresh ingredients and Nicois food. Owner and chef were very nice. Seems to be a locals favorite.

A must visit if you're in Nice!
One of my dearest friends recommended this place, he's a chef and like me, in love with food.
Our second night we were walking around trying to find somewhere to eat. My wifi didn't work so our plan to come here felt far away. Then we found this vute little place with a couple of tables with white tablecloths and decided to sit down. After a couple of minutes I discovered the sign "Côte Marais" and my heart started singing, it was destiny!
The have a set menu for €31 with three course, you decide, the options are many. I chose tomato salad, calf liver and on the waiters recommendation the Peach soup. My company chose beets with mozzarella, chicken with herb salad and a version of Vanilla pudding. We opted for a bottle of wine from Domaine de L'Ermitage.
We got a bread with tapenade to start with and warm bread. Great start.
The starters was amazing. The tomatoes were perfect in temperature and the olive oil and salad together with the salt and pepper made it into a perfect combination of taste. The mozzarella and beets were also simple but clean and sweet.
Our main courses came in and this is where me and my company's experiences changed.
My calf liver was grilled excellent, the mashed potatoes was smooth and buttery and I was very pleased.
The other main course that sounded so good turned out to be cold chicken and an herb salad with herbs that my friend didn't like. Together with creamed potatoes it was not what she was hoping for. Very sad.
For dessert she chose the Vanilla pudding based on that the waiter said that it was like pannacotta. It wasn't and if you're not in the mood for pudding it will be so wrong.
My soup was sweet and tasty with great Peach flavor.
The waiters were attentive, professional and kind, nothing to complain on at all.
So in short, go here but think about what you really want to eat so that you know what you get.
Based on my visit I have to give them five stars but my friend would probably give them two at the most.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Bob D.Las Vegas, NV3154920Sep 24, 2018
Our dinning here was a happy accident. Someone we meet in Monaco recommended a restaurant and gave us the address. Being bumbling tourists we went to the wrong address. We are so glad we did. We made reservations for two days later. The food was perfection, hands down one of the best restaurants in Nice.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful dinner, an nice veal and an nice peace of lamb.
The lamb really melted in the mouth! And the guys working there was so friendly and joyful.
We ended the evening with a nice Pana Cotta and one of the best cappuccino and espresso we had since we came to Nice.
Definitely worth the visit to the old town for this little jewel. Definitely would go back!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Timur S.Moscow, ID05Sep 5, 2017
The food is ordinary, nothing special, this place is overrated and very overpriced! I even had problems with the stomach after this place. The only thing that I liked is fuagra. The main dish was plain, and dessert same as in other any place. First time we came, we were sent out because we didn't have reservation. You shouldn't beleive rates of yelp here. Yelp even lies about the prices, menu is 33€ and wine from 28€. It is not €€, as described on yelp page, it should be rated more expensive. Please be aware.
