Great paralegal office! Very responsive team all working together. The receptionists Kelly and Michelle are so sweet and helpful and Janet the owner is a real go getter. She comes off strong but she means business! Just come in prepared and educated on your own paperwork and everything will run smoothly! Thank you CA Paralegal services!

I am writing thos post to make the public aware of this business. Please do NOT take your business here. This women is a real piece of work. First met her she appeared very kind and sweet. After she took a deposit from me, then things started to change. She agreed to do my paperwork for a custody order. When I initially requested an appointment stating the urgency and filing, she told me "no problem" we can get this done for you right away. I sent her a few documents the next day, which she stated she had trouble opening. I also needed her to include "other" important document's for a declaration. When I called her office I was told she be gone until the following week and would have her assistant schedule me in first thing Monday. So, I tried to be patient about that even though she should have let me know ahead of time that she was not going to be available for almost a week. Come Monday, no reply or call for appt. Come Tueaday still no call. So I started reaching out and called several times, sent text messages nothing. Finally I recieved a call from Janet's Secretary for appointment. I did not get in until Thursday. Duriing the time I was attempting to get an appointment I went ahead and did my own Custody Order. I sent a message to Janet explaining that "I already did my own paperwork, however I would like you to review it" and that I would like you to possibly work on some other items that need to be filed. I also called and explained to her Secretary that I did my own custody order. When I got to Janets office, her Secretary greeted me with more paperwork that appeared to be asking me personal questions like my weight, height, eye color, ethenticity etc. Which this was not explained as to why I was to complete this. Her Secretary then gave me what appeared to be my "timeline" that I sent the week prior, but there were some changes made to it and it had another womens name on it. On the top it read "Declaration" and it appeared to be only two pages maybe three. I ask her Secretary "what is this for", then Janet came out and took me to her office. She attempted to tell me that the "timeline" along with some court forms that had my name and info.(assuming it was the Request for Order) I attempted to explain that I had sent a message to her letting her know "that I had already completed my Custody Order" and I had brought along my documents for her to review. I also explained that I would like her to work on some other court items like my "Settlement Offer". Suddenly this women lashed out at me telling me "you are paying me for the work I have done" or "I will send you to collections". This women already had my $250 dollar deposit, and the only work she did was done while I was on my way to her office where she was rushing to put "something" together using a "timeline" as my declaration. No exhibits" no research, no details, she had not input anything on this two page "Declaration" which I did not ask her to do anyway. Even if I considered using the order she had rushed to do and not use mine,.I still would not have paid her $550 for what she just threw together and called it a "Custody Order". It was a joke, I could not believe this women was trying to offer me something that was not worth the paper it was written on! This was an important document that I needed done with attention and detail. After she seen that I was "not buying her story or her so called custody order"" she started threatening me with collections for the other $300 she wanted me to pay her, and then she told me "get out of my office now" "I want you to.leave you are trespassing" and she got up and almost attacked me by attempting to throw me out of her office. I was forced to leave so fast that I left my handbag amd documents, I told her "I left my handbag and I need to.get it"..She stalled a moment to think if she was going to give it to me or keep it until I paid her another $300..I was almost in tears by this time, as I was also "speechless" not knowing why I was being treated in such a horrible way. It was unbelievable to think a professional person (so I thought) would treat another human being in this manner. Through the entire ordeal I remained calm, never used aggression or harsh words, nothing to the sort. This all boiled down to "a women who wanted to take my money and not have to put any effort or work forward". She basically ripped me off! And threatend me to get me to pay her more money that I clearly did not owe, and most certainly would have never paid her anyway for what she called a "Custody Order". Everything that I have written here today is "true and correct"
My next step is filing a formal complaint against this business. Its not about the money for me, it was only $250, its more about seeing justice and having this business shut down. Thank you and I do hope this story will help whoever reads this review

Janet went above and beyond to help me with my divorce paperwork. She is highly knowledgeable, experienced , and compassionate. I highly recommend her.

If I could leave a minus review for this company I would. My husband and I ask for some help with our amicable divorce. We were told that we could file our court paperwork. When going back the next day the lady at the front desk couldn't find our paperwork, after sometime of looking she found in a basket marked "to court". We got to the courthouse and waited for a clerk only to be told that the names on our divorce paperwork were not ours. We were very upset!! After calling their office and telling them what had just happened, I was told that the office was closing at 3pm because of the holiday. It would have to be corrected next week. I asked for the manager to call me or I would be placing a stop payment on my service deposit. The manager never called me back and then proceeded to send us to collections for the $500 check I stopped payment on. Never never to this day have we heard from the manager/owner even after sending her two certified letters. We ended up doing our divorce by ourselves.

Update Janet, you might want to read your own contract about the cancellation agreement and services that were to be provided. THERE WERE NONE!!! Again, even after leaving a message for you there was not return phone call. No effort on your part to correct your mistake. Thus the reason for the stop payment on my check. It was only the initial paperwork you gave us ( 2 forms) there was much more that needed to done!! We couldn't use your paperwork was NOT legal you used the wrong names on the paperwork. We did on our own!!!!

When I was going through a horrible divorce, i wasn't sure how I was ever going to come to a resolution that would let us both move on and be able to co-parent. Not only were we able to do so, I was amazed with how Janet was able to mediate, and to explain clearly how Post-divorce life would be for us. And at a fraction of the cost of Attorneys. I would recommend her to anyone for any law needs!

I hired Janet to help me with my divorce and she has done nothing to help me. She is way overpriced and doesn't wanna work. I have never been through this process before. I was hoping she would give me the help and knowledge to get through this but instead I am going on 3 months now with no help from her to get what was court ordered. Not to mention when I emailed her my concerns that it was taking quite long, she called me, yelled at me, and told me I need to read my own paperwork and take care of some of this stuff myself!! SO unprofessional! I will be taking my business elsewhere.
