I am thrilled to share my recent brunch experience at this charming Asian Cafe nestled in the heart of Las Colinas. Let me cut to the chase - this place is a hidden gem.
Upon arrival, I was immediately drawn to their unique menu offerings. Opting for the Strawberry Matcha was a bold move, and boy, did it pay off! The delicate blend of sweet strawberries and earthy matcha created a flavor explosion that left me craving more.
Now, let's talk sandwiches. The Pork Katsu Sandwich and grilled cheese were nothing short of extraordinary. The Pork Katsu boasted perfectly crispy breading enveloping succulent pork, while the grilled cheese elevated the classic comfort food to new heights. I'm not exaggerating when I say it's now my favorite grilled cheese ever.
To all my fellow foodies in the area, do yourselves a favor and pay a visit to this culinary gem. You won't be disappointed. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you later.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 23, 20241 check-in
A solid lunch place. We split the Katsu curry plate, but a few notes: the meat was crispy, but a little tough. The rice was great and sticky. The curry was just spicy enough. However the portion was a little small. (and also weird and a bit rude they way they served it and then said "silverware over there") - they could not just bring it over the 8 feet when they serve you hot food?
The signage from the parking lot side was a waste of money for the business - the type is way too small.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 13142185Feb 25, 20241 check-in
I loved this little Japanese cafe. I tried a rose matcha latte and it was elegantly presented. I didn't see an overwhelming anime theme to the decor, but there were certainly nods to it here and there.
The employees all cheerily greet you when you come in. The place was packed on a late Sunday morning. They have a few cafe tables on the sidewalk outside when the weather is nice.
I didn't try it, but they have a decadent strawberry crème sandwich as well as an egg salad sandwich which looked tempting. Maybe next time!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 15, 20241 check-in
We came in for lunch on a Friday afternoon and found it quite quiet. It was just us and another couple. Another couple did join us shortly after. There was a steady flow of people picking up items to go. There is limited seating but it was pretty quiet the entire hour we were there and seating wasn't an issue.
We ordered the Chicken Katsu with a Matcha. I enjoyed the Chicken Katsu. The chicken was very crispy and not greasy or despite being deep fried. Curry had good flavor but was a little weird that there's meat bits in it. The rice was the short grain and had good texture. Matcha was foamy and had the foam art on it. It was not too sweet which is perfect for me.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Jan 9, 20242 check-ins
The hubs brought me here for a lunch date, best lunch date ever!
I got the mentaiko pasta, creamy sauce with a little kick and perfectly cooked udon noodles. I paired it with a hojicha with oat milk, the drink was so beautifully crafted, I almost didn't want to drink it!
The hubs got a yakiniku and shishito sando, wow super flavorful meat. The pairing was quite perfect. He had an americano.
We grabbed a melon pan, matcha pan, and a kakuni bread on the way out.
Everything about this cafe was perfect, we'll be back to get the panacotta and the basque cheesecake!Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 5Oh no 0 - Dec 28, 2023
The sign is very small & non-descript but its located in a corner plaza next to Edoko.
- Matcha & hojicha lattes
- Soft shell crab
- Strawberry
- Ham tamago
- Yakiniku (beef) shishito
Tab was about $60-70. Tables were full, so we sat at the bar & watched them at work. The pastry case features assorted desserts, including a partnership with Oh Mai Goodness.
Our fave sando was the crab, which had a nice texture. The tamago sando was hard boiled egg style & not the omelette we thought. Drinks were crafted properly as well. The food does take a while to come out but it's worth the wait.Helpful 2Thanks 2Love this 2Oh no 0 - 75233990Dec 17, 2023
I've heard great things about Cafe Hana! I stopped by with some friends to check it out.
I ordered an iced matcha latte and the katsu sando. The iced matcha latte was smooth, creamy, and not too sweet. The katsu sando was delicious, although I wished it came with a dipping sauce.
The staff is very friendly. There's a decent amount of seating, but the tables are close to one another. There are some power outlets, although some extension cords could help. Bathrooms were clean! And there was lots of parking.
The menu is kind of limited as of me writing this review, but they definitely have the basics down. I look forward to new menu items to come in the future!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
