We ordered Cafe K for delivery last night, and we had never heard of this restaurant - My roommate was craving kimbap and decided to just go ahead and give it a try!
Their menu is large, with items from Korea-China-Thai-then Philly Cheesesteaks!
[Food: 4 out of 5]
Kimbap-- 4 out of 5 - it was honestly really good, but it every bite was slightly salty. My roommates and I were trying to figure out which ingredient made it salty, maybe the tofu? egg? spinached blanched in salt? Nonetheless, the kimbap was good, and I would definitely order again.
Korean Fried Chicken: 5 out of 5 - I was expecting this dish to be .. like the korean fried chicken you would get at bonchon, but it was more like chicken nuggets/tenders. The chicken was still crunchy when it arrived to our place. They served this dish with rice, lettuce, tomatoes and BLUE CHEESE. The korean fried chicken was "spicy" sweet/sour flavored, and paired well with the bluecheese. I never thought to eat my korean fried chicken with blue cheese... but I actually ate every single bite of this dish.
Chive Dumpling: 3 of 5? - This "dumpling" seemed like a chive pancake, that they just happened to cut into bite size pieces. My fiance thought it tasted only like tofu. The "dumpling" was definitely on the doughier side, and tasted kind of bland. The dish came with sweet chilli sauce for dipping, which made it slightly better. The sauce wasnt thick like typical chilli sauce, but it give the dumpling the extra flavor it needed.
All in all, I would definitely order here again - or go instore for more!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 19, 2023
I heard about this cafe as a "hidden gem" in a business park. For those walking from the surrounding area, it certainly is hidden! We were intrigued by the late hours since not a lot of eateries nearby keep late-night hours. Because it's in a business park, I felt like the inside was a little bit sterile. It feels like a souped up break room at work if that makes sense.
Ordering is relatively easy via a touch screen. This place is definitely introvert friendly. We got kimbap and cupbop which were fine - nothing amazing but also not bad either. We also liked the selection of board and table games. It's not the most comfiest/coziest place to settle into though. Overall, if I was in a pinch for decent late night Korean/Thai food and a place to chill out to kill a bit of time, this would fit the bill.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 13, 2023
Honest review. I was looking for Angel N evil but ended up eating at cafe K I guess. What's up with having two restaurants in one? I hope Yelp doesn't Flag me for reviewing the wrong business but so here's the deal. I saw I these Yelp reviews for Angel N Evil. I had no idea that I had to specifically somehow find someone to order for Angel N Evil. They shared the same space and same kitchen. I kept seeing young, hip people get different food that wasn't on the iPad menus. It doesn't help that there is a huge language barrier.
Both restaurants are located at the bottom of an office building. It's a secure building but certain doors will open for you to get to cafe k. I saw the signs and entered through the back on the garage side. Weird note. On the garage side, there are really fancy expensive cars parked there. I'm
Not sure why...
Either way I ordered from the cafe K menu using an iPad. The staff spoke limited English. The food was good but most of it was already prepared in a hot bar buffet area and I was handed my food. I saw a lot of delivery orders so it was like having a ghost kitchen but with a real storefront.... The staff were super helpful and nice but the items were odd. I ordered bulgolgi Kim nap and what I got was regular bulgolgi from the hot bar and they fried up the bulgolgi as a side dish. Kind of odd. The food was good but I tipped well and it was a little on the pricey side. In the middle of cooking my food the staff kept leaving for smoke breaks.... I probably would stick with Annandale for Korean food.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 17, 2023First to Review
Ordered CupBap through Doordash and it did not disappoint.
The order came with smorgasbord of different savory meats and moist tasty rice with furikake toppings. The egg was nice and runny and I enjoyed the crunchy bean sprouts included.
It would have been nice had they included better utensils. I was working at a place that has no good utensils. The flimsy fork that came with the food really didn't help eating the rice or other portions of the food.
I am looking forward to ordering again in the future when I am back in the area for work.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 1 - Cecile J L.Falls Church, VA026Mar 28, 2024
This is my first review. The food was just gross. I order Korean food all the time from other places, and this was unacceptable. The food is so bad that I have to write a review. The descriptions of the food are w the pictures. I was more disappointed with the customer service when I called them. I was told they would redeliver the food. They never did. When I called, I was told they could not do that and just refunded me for one item. I will not order from them again

Had late night craving so I sent the hub to go pick up an order each of gimbap, ddukbokki, and spam musubi. Very disappointed with what I got. I have ordered other things here before and they weren't this bad. The ddukbokki...there was barely anything in the bowl. Where's the boiled egg that was in the menu pic? No flavor, very watery but spicy and it had a few pieces of odeng and dduk. They were just swimming in that watery soup. The spam in the musubi was discolored like how spam gets in the fridge...no longer pink but like a tan brown. It was warm I'll give them that. Flavor was fine but right off the bat I can tell the ingredients weren't fresh. The gimbap was the worst. If you're Korean and you've had gimbap that's been sitting out for at least a couple of hours, like in that space between tolerably edible and about to go bad, you know what I'm talking about. The inside of the roll gets a slight rag-like, mildewy taste. It's still edible but you know it's not fresh. And definitely wouldn't expect an establishment to be selling it in such a state. Well this gimbap definitely had that taste. The rice was hardened and cold as well. I am honestly worried this whole combo might give me some digestion issues later. I was hungry so I ate enough to stop starving but we didn't keep what was left.

Honestly I love any bi bim bap and kim bop combination but last night had the worst stomach indigestion ever for like two hours. I think they must cook it in something that didn't agree with me or maybe I ate too much or too fast. Shame because it tasted good just not overnight. I'm okay now but yikes!!

What a hidden gem!! Literally lol. I found this place on Tik Tok and saw that it was open late on Yelp. Man was it a mission to find though lol. It's located in an office building with no signage except for one on the corner that's really hidden. I had to call to verify where they were located because the directions took us to the front of the building but after hours, the front is closed and you got to go the back. It sounded sketchy at first lol but it ended up being all good. The girl and the chef were both so nice!! When we discovered the place, we were surprised it was so busy. It looked like a college town hangout place. This is definitely your place if you're looking for late night food with games and lots of seating. They serve breakfast in the morning, and a mix of Korean and Thai food at night. My boyfriend for the Korean coffee and Katsu Donburi which he very much enjoyed. I got the Jjapaguri which was so saucy and delicious just how I love my ramen. I will be back try their Thai food since it's still new on the menu. Definitely recommend this spot so go support your small local businesses! :)

The suggestion for this Café popped up while i was trying to decide what to eat. Since it was a very cold day, I decided to get the Bulgogi Ramen. I ordered thru Grub hub and it was delivered rather quickly. The liquid was separate from the solid food. I'm ok with that. I get my bowl prepped and notice that I don't have an egg. The egg that is pictured on the menu was not included with my ramen. I called the Café to inform them that I was missing the egg and was told that it did not come with it. I explained that it shows online that it does. She repeated her statement and that was the end of the conversation. So now I simply have a bowl of ramen and Bulgogi. At least the Bulgogi was cooked well, The liquid was ok, spicy, but not flavorful. Just a bit disappointed. "What is ramen without and EGG"
