We understand that during NYE, the crowd is probably quadruple, but there were a few issues during our visit with this order process/table delivery. The app takes forever to download - technology is far too advanced for that!
Our order took 45 mins more and it was not hot - just warm. The restrooms were not maintained - stalls not equipped with full toilet paper rolls. I would suggest an hourly check in.
I would also ask that the app that we have to download would automatically provide the table number - an extra step not needed...and new hire guidance to know each of the table numbers/locations, as our waitstaff was not aware. All food should report to the table at the same time - not separately. This is just a "chipotle style type restaurant.
The staff was great with our questions and issues - but these questions and issues should not have been addressed in the first place.
We want convenience and ease.
Please adjust so that when I return, there is no question that this is the best place on earth!

This is a special restaurant in Universal that you can only visit if you're doing a VIP tour.
When you check in for your tour in the morning at VIP services the staff will escort you to the restaurant for breakfast. It looks like it usually offers a buffet, but during COVID we were presented a menu to pick from with dishes served by servers. There were various hot and cold breakfast dishes to choose from as well as bottled water and bottled beverages and coffee. I tried the ham and egg sandwich which was generously sized and pretty tasty. The chocolate croissant was also very good.
At the mid point of your tour you'll be brought back by your guide for lunch. The lunch menu featured items from restaurants throughout the park with various cuisines. The caesar salad was pretty basic but did have the traditional caesar dressing. The noodle bowl was pretty decent although the noodles were very overcooked and chewy. The dessert was a nice sample of three different small desserts which were all very good especially the macaron. Soft drinks were served in glasses and refilled as desired. Alcoholic beverages were also available for a charge if desired.
Overall this was a pleasant dining experience and a nice bonus of doing a Universal VIP tour!Helpful 19Thanks 0Love this 17Oh no 0 - Christine O.Manhattan, New York, NY01Oct 13, 2023
We waited an hour and 15 minutes to get our food. I wouldn't waste your time here. There is no communication from order time (where you pay first via app) until your food (maybe) appears.

This place closed at 3 pm when we went on a Wednesday. We didn't know. We were told that there was no menu in the restaurant, and to scan a code on the patio table and order that way. By the time we placed the order online it was 3:01 pm, so the system didn't accept the order because we were 1 minute over. To top it off, the 2 "greeters" passed us by smiling, not saying a single word despite the fact that we were on the phone ordering. They simply locked the restaurant doors on the inside, while we were left on the outside patio with our order rejected because it was out in 1 minute past 3 pm. as I mentioned they didn't even bother to tell us anything; just locked the doors smiling.
Seriously?!?? This place should not be in business, unless they are able to hire staff who cares.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ioana R.Frederick, MD041Mar 22, 2023

You get to eat here when you're part of the VIP experience including the tour. The menu was made up of the signature items from the other restaurants including big fire and Lombards. I liked the steak medallions but the soba noodle bowl was mushy and didn't taste all that great. Although the shrimp was made well and very plump and sweet. As part of the meal was dessert as in the photo a trio of cheesecake, chocolate cake and a macaron. It seemed like you get one per party and some parties had 4 people so they weren't happy to have to share the trio among 4 people. But they said if you finish one plate and want another they'll grab you another one. It's hard to get refills here but if you ask they will bring beverage refills. Overall good time here and I did enjoy the kale salad with cherries

It takes forever to get food and the QR code takes a long time. They do not accept cash and you have to download an app just to place order. Garbage!

Pathetic excuse for a restaurant. If you like mediocre food, outdated ambience& and lazy service then this is the place for you.

The gate was open how amusement park ride lines are and when I went up to the door he said are you VIP I said no he's like well we're closed for a private event. Without an attitude I just suggested maybe you should put up like a rope. he's like well the gates are up so what else do you want me to do and I was like you don't have to be rude I was just saying he's like well the gates are up what more do you want I was like you're being very mean and rude he just shrugged his shoulders his name is Duncan and then he had the nerve to smile with a smirk and say merry Christmas. He was literally my first customer service experience at Universal orlando.
