California Barber Shop

On the day of my appt I received a text saying that due to a conflict, my appt has been canceled--no reason no reschedule. So I called. No answer. I drove there only to have them tell me it was my fault because I said I would call if something came up. That's standard operating procedure! I say it , as a courtesy, to whomever is offering an appt service. Then, in an effort to sound grown up, he said something came up for him. For him. Apparently my time and schedule mean nothing. These guys are motley crew of unprofessional hacks. Stay away.

I walked into this barbershop with clear instructions and even a picture to ensure there was no room for error. My one simple request was to keep my hair long. To my horror, they not only cut it short but also botched the trim. When I sought recourse, I was met with the bewildering claim that there's no manager and nobody owns the business. Utterly unprofessional and a complete waste of time and money! Avoid at all costs.

Very nice place. Accommodating with fitting me in. Excellent haircut! Like barber shops used to be.

Best barber shop in town. They have everything you want: good prices, consistently presentable haircuts, TV right in front of the chairs, and deference to however much the customer feels like chatting. The couple of negative reviews here are from people who want fancy haircuts, which is not what this place is for. Five stars for anyone who just wants a standard men's barber shop

I went here on good faith per a recommendation and they just made up their own haircut, it wasn't even close to the reference photos I showed. I asked for a taper - 2 and to shorten the middle part and they basically took all my hair.

5 stars for having a cash register that looks like from the 1930s

Great barber shop! Henry was awesome and gave me a great cut. Would recommend to any of my friends and family.

Came at lunch on a weekday. Still had to wait 30 mins. Huge queue behind me for post lunch crowd. Simple fast no nonsense barber. Got a solid cut. And omg. Why is it so cheap. Also, it's cash only..so come prepped. If not they just told me to walk to the bank next door and come back. Did I mention friendly? I'll be back!

Posted price for retired and fixed income persons:$17.00. Though I stated that I was age 62 and was collecting unemployment - therefore on a fixed income - the owner said I did not qualify because that price is "for older people."

On a positive note, the waiting area is comfortable and otherwise friendly.

Perhaps the pricing and definitions about who is who among customers should be revised.

The only reason I am giving them this many stars is because I didn't try the other barbers but this place was a terrible experience. Not only did I have to wait a hour and a half after my appointment but the barber did not listen to my instructions. I told him specific but it felt like he purposely messed my hair cut up. Right now it's embarrassing to be outside because of it. I'm probably going to get bullied at school for it. Can't speak for the other barbers but the one farthest from the entrance messed it up terribly.
