Don't come here unless you want to empty your savings account!
I came here for a simple cleaning and a check up. By the time I left, I was told that the services that I needed would cost me over $5000 and that's in addition to what my insurance would pay.
I was told by the dentist that I needed all types of dental work done, which didn't make sense to me because the things I was being told I've never had issues with before. I was also told they would not do a simple cleaning and that I had to pay them $450 for a deep cleaning. I told the staff I was not comfortable with all this and I walked out.
A few days later, I went to a different dentist and I showed them my x-rays from this office. What do you know, they were able to do just the standard cleaning of my teeth. The additional work that is needed will cost me about $150 not over $5000!
I wished I had look at the reviews on here before I had gone. There is a clear pattern of people feeling that this office is fraudulent in their billing practices.
Something should be done about this.
I would have given this office minus stars if I could.
The only positive thing I can say about this practice is that the office staff who called me prior to my appointment were very nice and professional.
Stay away from this dental office!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Yadira L.Anaheim, CA442Oct 19, 2023
they were able to fit me and my husband in the last minute appointment and the doctor was so nice. The front desk ladies were super friendly, I would definitely recommend anybody to come here and get their dental care.

I was in Anaheim for a work conference and needed assistance with an onlay that fell off. I was unsure where to go, however found California Dental group and walked-in for service. Without an appointment, I shared my need for assistance to get me in a comfortable position with my tooth until I was able to return home and see my dentist. The receptionist was very welcoming, walked through the process, spoke to the dentist to share my need for quick work as I was to board a plane in 2 hrs. Dr. Nhi saw me right away, took an x-ray, sat me down, and patched my tooth. Very pleased with the customer service, sense of urgency, demeanor of the entire staff, and the work that was done. Thank you Dr. Nhi!

BE AWARE !!!! SCAM ALERT, FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY DONE BY THIS OFFICE.
I visited this office for regular checkups in May of last year and was told that I need an invisalign procedure done to fix my crooked teeth. Unfortunately, my experience was nothing but a huge scam and fraud, leaving me to pay almost $6,000 out of pocket, for a procedure that I later found out was fully covered by my dental insurance. Here comes the shocking news : I found out from my insurance that the dentists at this office were not authorized/licensed to do orthodontic procedures to begin with, hence why they never filed a claim with my insurance. What they did to me was nothing but a complete Fraud and they need to be held accountable by the Dental Board of California. I opened an investigation with my insurance and filed a grievance with them. They were told by my insurance that they need to reimburse me in full in fifteen business days, however they failed to answer any of my phone calls and emails and never sent me my reimbursement check! Upon reading the reviews on Yelp I realized many people have had the similar experience as I did for different procedures. It is clearly obvious that in this dental office , maximizing profits took precedence over ensuring patient satisfaction and well-being. I will be reporting this incident to relevant authorities such as Dental Board of California as well as filing another complaint with my insurance company to rectify this injustice. I will not back down unless justice is served. I HOPE MY REVIEW SERVES AS A CAUTIONARY TALE AND PREVENTS OTHERS FROM FALLING VICTIMS TO SUCH PREDATORY PRACTICES.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - John M.Irvine, CA01Oct 19, 2023

We aren't off to a great start.
#1 - Don't waste your time filling in the new patient form in the link they might text you before your appointment. You still have to fill out paperwork with the exact same information. This does save you any time.
#2 - Their operational hours online are incorrect. They don't have evening hours.
#3 - The dentist is not there everyday. So be prepared for scheduling to be a little more complicated.
#4 - They didn't follow up when they said they would. I went to my 1st appointment on a Monday. They charged me for that plus my next 2 appointments. They said they would call me by Wednesday with information on one of those pending procedures. I didn't hear from them and ended up calling them today (over 1 week since I was there). They still didn't have answers and made me call them back. When I called back, they said they wouldn't have an answer until I come this Thursday.
#5 - They tried pressuring me into multiple procedures. I pushed back. I appreciate their recommendations and advice, but they are expensive and it's my choice ultimately.
Unfortunately I'm stuck going here for the procedures I've already paid for. I will not be returning and am now looking for a new dentist.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rainne V.Anaheim, CA022Oct 22, 2022
Place is a ripoff. They charge you unneed services--one that your insurance does not cover. I would give this 0 star if I could.
LONG STORY.
Went in for concern regarding tooth throb, doctor, came with a interned I assume, saw me and said there was nothing wrong with my teeth and no issues saw and since I couldn't exactly explain the throb, there's nothing he could do and that my teeth just need cleaning (regular). Which I agreed to get. Note, this was the exact conversation. His attitude was that he didn't want to work and also a condescending tone.
Office manager came, charged me $80 for irrigation/de-bridge D4998, I asked them before what it was for, they explained to me that it was for cleaning, just regular cleaning, but wasn't cover by my insurance. Silly me paid and got cleaned as when I asked, they just said it was part of cleaning repeatedly, which should've been a red flag, but silly me didn't continue.
Called my insurance afterward to clarify, they confirmed the code wasn't covered and to ask my dentist what was the charge for as usually it's for after deep cleaning (anti inflammatory/bacterial rinse) and it's odd for them to use it for regular cleaning. I also floss regularly so my gums are "tough" for regular cleaning.
Person who answered, Rose, who became irritated and heated in her voice when I pressed for it MULTIPLE TIMES after stating I had spoke with my insurance regarding the charge, she told me it was "medication for [your] gums that the doctor recommended and you agreed to"--which the doctor did not explain and none of them explained the code for me when I ask (just said it's for "cleaning"), this was the answer she gave after I keep on pressing for it. Before the cleaning, I had asked repeatedly and multiple times the charge, the answer was for regular cleaning.
For this so called medication, was applied after I got my cleaning.
So if you come to this office, you MUST KNOW what questions to ask and be familiar with the procedure codes, and record the conversation you have with the doctor. And be ready to walk out if they keep deflating the questions. Lesson learned for me.
And this was just a simple cleaning charge, can't imagine the charges for big procedures.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Julie E.Tucson, AZ05Mar 13, 2023
Steer clear of this place. I am temporarily in Anaheim and needed my teeth cleaned since I missed my appointment due to the move. I have had the best in dental care for the past 40+ years and have seen my dentist twice per year like clockwork. According to the dentist here, though, my teeth are in poor condition and I was in dire need of a "deep cleaning." I politely declined and said I'd talk it over with my regular dentist when I returned home. I was then informed that they would not do the regular cleaning because it would be insufficient because the condition of my teeth was so poor. What?????Clearly, that $49 new patient cleaning came with some serious strings attached. They didn't charge me, but I'm going to keep an eye on my dental insurance paperwork to make sure they don't pad their bill!

A few years ago I got a root canal done here by Dr. Benjamin Levi. The symptom was a blister in the roof of my mouth near #3 tooth. It was was determined my #3 tooth had gone bad. The procedure was done fine to #3. 6mo later my blister symptom in the roof of my mount came back, so I returned to get Dr. Levi's help. He said the root canal to #3 was good, and put some antibiotics in the blister canal. He said if that doesn't work long-term I would have to have the tooth removed and replace it with an implant, costing around $5000. The blister got better, but then about 6 months later it came back again. I was told by another dentist (family friend) to get a second opinion that includes a 3D SCAN to the tooth area. When I did that I learned the problem wasn't the #3 tooth at all. The blister infection was coming from #2 tooth, which already had a root canal, but was apparently botched by a different endodontist over 15yrs earlier. Had I continued with Dr. Levi's advice I would have had an unnecessary implant, costing thousands. The reason for this misdiagnosis was because the California Dental Group doesn't have 3D SCAN equipment, allow them to see to "the root" of the problem. Thankfully the endodontist I went to that had 3D SCAN equipment was able to see the problem in #2 and correct it. It's now 6 months later and the blister has not come back. Thank God I didn't take Dr. Levi's advice of getting a $5000 implant, which would have NOT fixed the problem. Dr. Levi did a good job of the #3 root canal, but it wasn't the problem to the blister, it was #2. The real issue is California Dental Group of Anaheim doesn't have current technology 3D SCAN equipment to pinpoint the real problem when a tooth goes bad. Because of that I cannot recommend this practice to anyone.
