California Repipe Specialist

No sense in writing a long review. Won't do me or you any good.
As of January 31st 2022 California Repipe filed for bankruptcy and are no longer in business. I found this out after texts and voicemail to Shane went unanswered. Once I called the office a recording came on stating they had to file for chapter 7 bankruptcy and uou were given a referral to a trustee attorney that is handling their accounts. So much for their warranty. Any issueissue I had that would've been covered under the warranty. Instead I had to shell out $1,000 to another plumber to fix. So now I have to file a claim and wait in line with the rest of their debtors hoping I can be reimbursed. I won't hold my breath.

This is not his first plumbing business bankruptcy. He's done this before. He does not want to run an honest business or make good on warranties, so he files for bankruptcy, then starts a new business. Report him to California licensing and your congressperson.

In August 2019, my wife and I contacted California Repipe Specialist to repipe our house, due to old corroded pipes causing poor water pressure. In September 2019, California Repipe Specialist repiped the entire house from the main. Initially, we were satisfied with the service, as the water pressure was restored. However, about 2 weeks ago, a pipe leak/burst was discovered that caused substantial water damage to the property. The pipes were just replaced less than 2 and a half years ago.

We have tried to contact California Repipe Specialist since the day the pipes burst, at both their listed numbers, with no luck. Every time we call it goes to voicemail and their voicemail box is full, not allowing us to leave a message. Additionally, we sent an email to the company representative that emailed the invoice to us; however, he did not respond to our email either. We are still trying to get in contact with California Repipe Specialist to resolve this issue. We would greatly appreciate it if someone from the California Repipe Specialist would contact us so that we can finally resolve this ongoing issue.

Never provide the estimate for a complete repipe. It's been 2.5 weeks already. Didn't pick up the phone, do not return voicemails.

To be honest, I'm not the easiest client due to high expectations. My wife and I both want the best bang for our buck. California Repipe Specialist has a great team of hard workers (really like Josef). I was new to this process and didn't ask all the questions that should have been asked, but they always followed through and took care of us. Highly recommended working with them. Also, most cost effective when pex repiping and drain repipe combined.

The worse repipe company and customer service I ever seen. Dont trust them. They are Not reliable, responsible, it took a mounts to do their job, they broke our faucet, cabinet and when asking them to come and fix them, Shein ( manager), ignore to response. Worse worse worse I ever seen in my life.
Please don't trust them.

Spoke with Shane over the phone to get a quote on a rental I own in ladera ranch, Shane drove by and have gave me a quote in about a day. Quote was fair and included everything but paint.
I would be flying in to oversee the work and rehab the property so time needed to be perfect.

The time line and planning of the project went flawlessly, re Pipe was complete in one long day by a large team. Not much talking the crew just worked , everyone doing a job.
Inspection on Monday and patch work by Tuesday.
I could not be happier, even my Painter was blown away by the efincency of their team and quality of the work.
Would recommend.

Last year, we took four bids to repipe our home, and all were within a few hundred dollars of each other. I just liked Mark the most, so we went with California Repipe Specialist. They started the work a few weeks after I called them to schedule, which was mostly complete in one day. Unfortunately, the key word is "mostly." We had a little problem getting the inspector out during COVID, so we were left on a hiatus for a month. After the inspector came out and looked for 3 seconds, with the only problem being we needed to add insulation on some hot water tubes in a few places, I was ready to complete the job. Unfortunately, it was an "I" and not a "we," as this company has simply disappeared. I have called too many times to mention over the past year, and frankly, I thought it was Christmas or my birthday when someone answered the phone. To a lesser degree, I thought it was a Federal holiday when the answering machine was able to take a message. You can get ahold of someone at the IRS easier than this company. The few times I could speak to someone I was assured that we were on the list. There was a multitude of reasons why they couldn't come back to complete the work, such as workload, the crew got COVID, or a list of other reasons (watch the Jim Belushi-Carrie Fisher "It wasn't my fault" scene in "The Blues Brothers" and you will understand). Regardless, my wife and I were tired of living with holes in the walls and wanted this project complete, so I finally called another company to finish the work. And you should do the same, call another company.

While we did get a great price, the customer service aspect, especially from the owner is terrible the worst.

The company had to return twice for rework. Once for something they forgot and once to correct an item caught from the city code inspector.
Also, they put all the connection in very tight places so that if you ever have to replace a line or faucet, it is very difficult.

We also called to have an item inspected but we were told, rudely, that it was probably not their fault and if they came out it would cost $125 service fee.

We had a plumbing leak which really messed up the flooring and walls. Didn't want to go through that again so we decided to have the house repiped. We have used California Repipe in the past at another house and we're very happy with the work they did. These guys do not disappoint. They cover the floors and fixtures and also do a very nice job of cleaning up. They will cut holes in the walls and stucco to run the piping and when that is done they repair everything and texture to match. I am a picky guy and they did an excellent job matching the texture inside and out. They put on all new connections to faucets and new hose bibs outside. Our house took 3 days from start to finish. I could not be happier with the work and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. If you live in South Orange County and your house is 40 years old, call these guys before you have a leak.
