I have heard all kinds of different things about Camila's but since it's not too far from me I decided to just give it a try. We dined inside and the interior is very cute, lot's of beautiful Mexican decor and very clean.
Our server was great, attentive but not bothersome. He accommodated our different requests and knew the menu really well.
The tacos were hot and super full! They are not stingy at all with their meat. All of our tacos were very flavorful, with the only downside (for a lack of a better word) is that the potatoes were bigger than I like, but that's pretty much everywhere.
I was very please with everything, especially the beef fajita, super tender and juicy! They also have a drive thru so we will absolutely go back. Oh, and the best part, they have the best taco prices in the Stone Oak/Timberwood Park area!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 325282714Dec 28, 2023Updated review
The food is good but their prices are at least 20% higher than other similar restaurants that serve same entrees.
Also, when we showed up for take out order the lowest option for leaving a tip was 28% and went up to 32% for a take-out order.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Sep 4, 2021Previous reviewBest thing for me was aguas frescas and their music! Food was delicious especially the flour tortillas and beans (here for a good time)! Complaint is we were there around 8:30 am, not very busy yet and our table was sticky! I wiped it down a few times with my wipes but couldn't get it all off.
The prices are great for family meals so would recommend and will be coming again (: - Nov 5, 20237 check-ins
I've been saying I was going to try this place since it changed from being a BBQ restaurant to TexMex. It is not on my usual path, so I guess it took 1-2 years:-). What finally got me to try it was a review from my Yelp friend, Glen H. He gave it 4 stars and was happy with it.
When we drove up, the parking lot was completely full, and we had to park at another business next door. Obviously, if they have that much business, it must be good.
Walking in, they had a sign up letting you know to go ahead and seat yourself. We looked around and saw 1 open table which we grabbed. A waiter came quickly, bringing water and menus. She came back after a few minutes to see if we were ready to order.
I ordered a combination of enchiladas and tacos, while my wife ordered breakfast tacos. They serve breakfast all day, so my wife was really happy. We went through the chips and salsa quickly (both were very good) and asked for more. The only negative about our entire experience is that the refills of chips and salsa never showed up.
Both of us enjoyed our meal. We were pleasantly surprised with our experience. If we had gotten our additional chips and salsa, then this would have been a 5 star review.
Will I return? Definitely!Helpful 24Thanks 4Love this 20Oh no 0 - Emerald L.San Antonio, TX55618Feb 17, 2024
I ordered the menudo through Uber Eats. It was delicious!! Fresh and flavorful!! It is hard to find good menudo in this area and have it delivered was a bonus!! I can't wait to try other dishes!!

First time back since my initial review. I had the lunch special, the Chile Relleno. It wasn't the best I have had but was still pretty good. The beef inside could use a little more flavor. It came with the usual rice and beans. These too were good but not exceptional. The wife had the enchilada plate and rated them 4.5 stars. I will have to try those next time. The chips and salsa were pretty good. These chips are thick and crispy. The two salsas (red or green) were tasty even being a little thin. The menu is extensive with many Texmex entrees. You should be able to find something. The tortillas are so soft and fluffy and homemade.
They have an authentic TexMex ambiance and along with the food which is a rare find on this side of town.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0Oct 12, 2021Previous reviewI have been wanting to try this place since I saw it being built. Then the reviews confirmed my need to visit. I was hesitant to review on my one visit and please understand my 3 stars is not a bad review. Let me explain why it was not higher. First with the worker shortages I know restaurants have issues finding enough help and their service suffers. I will assume that is what is happening here. We went at lunch on a weekday and it was not crowded at all. But it seemed they had only one waitress to serve the entire restaurant. She was doing ok but things were a little slow. It wasn't bad overall.
I ordered one of my favorite plates, puffy tacos. You can't find these everywhere even with it being a San Antonio original. They were very tasty but the puffy taco shell was a little too thick a doughy. Happens at a lot of places. It detracted from the overall flavor. It comes with the requisite refried beans and Mexican rice. These were both good. The salsa was fantastic. Flavorful and just the right amount of bite in spiciness and the chips were crisp and on the thicker side. The tortillas were very good and homemade.
I want to give another try with one of my favorite dishes and get the rating higher. - Aug 25, 2023
Came during early lunch & I was impressed. We were seated at table. Our server was amazing, she got a drink order right away & she was patience with us as we browsed the menu. I wanted a lil bit of everything & got the Plato Mexicano combo with rice & beans. Once our orders came out together there was a lil hiccup. I got 2 tortillas with my order & someone else ordered tortillas but however didn't get them. By the time the waitress came back, it wasn't an issue. My Plato mexicano plate was delicious.
The sauce on the enchiladas was good, not spicy or over seasoned, the rice & beans were seasoned & seasoned very nicely. The tamale was hidden next to the enchilada but was able to eat it separately. Nice & flavorful shredded pork tamale. The puffy taco was loaded with shredded chicken & cheese. Overall we were all pleased with our meals.
The location has plenty of parking & there is ample seating as well. Some music is playing & they also have tvs. We had a excellent experience & hope to come back when we are back in Texas.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - R B.San Antonio, TX08Mar 30, 2024

Location/Parking:
The restaurant is located off Blanco road in Stone Oak. There is lots of parking. This restaurant has a drive thru.
Ambiance:
It has a friendly vibe and colorful atmosphere inside.
Food:
We've ordered at the restaurant and ate inside and did take out from the drive thru. We had the puffy tacos, nachos, mini tacos, menudo, enchiladas, etc. We loved their refried beans. It's very flavorful! The puffy tacos are great.
Drinks:
They offer alcoholic drinks such as mimosas and margarita. They can blend your margarita or have in on the rocks.
Overall, we've been happy with their food and service. We will return for our Mexican food cravings.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Erika T.San Antonio, TX2122Feb 9, 2024
We order Caldo, bean and cheese nachos, bean and cheese taco, and a barbacoa taco. We had it delivered and the food was hot when it arrived to our house. Everything was delicious. It's really hard to find good restaurants around this area.
