Carmela Vlacich is an extremely professional and friendly Realtor to deal with. She showed my roommates and I several apartments, of varying characteristics, to get a feel of what we were looking for in an apartment. At no point was she pushy or aggressive in persuading us towards a particular apartment. It did seem at certain points that she was a bit busy, but that is understandable in the type of business she works. In the end we were able to sign for the best apartment that suited us.

Working with Carmela was easy and painless...they way finding an apartment should be! I saw the listing on a Sunday night and the following day was shown the apartment. Completing the paperwork to secure my gorgeous apartment was easy and what was great for me is that Carmela's office worked with my schedule. I was able to come in and drop off the finished paperwork and deposit when it was convenient for me. Everyone who I encountered in the office was great and never once did I feel pressured to look at an apartment that was out of my price range or didn't fit my criteria. The fact I was able to secure an apartment in less than 3 days was amazing!! Overall it was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend using Carmela if you are looking for an apartment in Astoria!

Seen an ad up she had we went to go see it...we loved it she makes us apply sent over application ids all the necessary documents...she tells me will review....for 5 days she kept saying the landlords deciding.....to come back to me on almost the 7th day to tell us the landlord went with someone else..she never ran a credit check so I will say this was a racist decision...you see we are a mixed couple....our income was more then what they ask to make but she never ran the credit check.....drove by the place not to long ago guess what still empty!!! i say if you can avoid her do it....she answers phone calls with her sweet voice and you want to believe she is helping you but she is not she says she is still actively looking "for you" but she never returns calls you need to chase her...she more for the landlords!

This is seriously one of the worst real estate agencies I have ever encountered. The listings they have sell because they are in high demand, not at all because they put any effort into contacting prospective buyers. I have tried so many times to get in touch with Carmela and not once has she had the courtesy to call/email/text back. I attended an open house once and one of her associates rushed me out (after being in the house only five minutes) snapping his fingers at me and telling me to hurry up. Who does that?! I told one of the other associates of his behavior and that person didn't offer any apology whatsoever. I hope to god I don't ever find my dream house and SHE is selling it.

I was recommended to see Carmela by a colleague. She showed me the best places available in Astoria. Very professional, no pressure sales, she was very good in having good places to show. The only thing I would say is that Carmela, like all real estate agents, represents the landlord. If the landlord promised to get x, y ,z renovated, I would put it in writing/email and send it to Carmela as your record. My apt almost fell through b/c of this, but it got resolved by holding the landlord to their words. As far as w/ Carmela, I had a great pleasant experience. I highly recommend her.

This woman is AWFUL. I called her 15 times. She answered twice and said she would get back to me about 3 or 4 things. Never did. Never answers the phone or returns voicemails or texts. When i finally got a hold of her she still had no info to provide me. She's a huge waste of time and has a typical scummy, uneducated real estate attitude.

I had a terrible experience with carmelas team. The first day was great we saw a great apt and the woman was very nice. Then we made another appointment to see more apt and then she never called to confirm. I called twice with no response. Finally I emailed and Carmela emailed me back and we made an apt for a few days later. Once I get to the office, I wait 20 minutes to find out there are no apts to be shown bc the land lord never called them back. I can promise you there are other realtors to go to in Astoria that really help you.

After seeing that Carmela had posted several apartments on Craigslist that were what we were looking for, I contacted her to set up an appointment. I was impressed by her responsiveness to my email and we made an appointment... unfortunately that would be the last thing I was impressed by. We arrived at her office for our scheduled appointment and were left standing around because the receptionist couldn't reach Carmela. We were eventually taken to a conference room to fill out paperwork and we expected that Carmela would join us shortly. However, Carmela would in fact never materialize. Forty-five minutes later, one of the agents who works for her finally came in. He was a least pleasant, though the apartments were mediocre. So all in all it took us over two hours to see two apartments - a complete waste of our time. Do not think that you will get any of the attention or respect that you deserve with her. Just stay away.

So many of our friends recommended us to Carmela and her team, that we felt as if it was the only way to go. Our friends were right. They were wonderful. We really got the feeling that they were not going to rest until we were madly in love with our apartment. If we wrinkled our nose even slightly at a place, they wasted no time in trying to talk us into liking it. Her team members would simply look at us with concern, and say "You don't like it?" and before we were even finished shaking our heads no, they were thanking the landlord politely for showing us the apartment, and whisking us away to the next location. We were super picky, and they never made us feel like we were being difficult. We also had a baby with us for all of these outings, and they were so sweet to him, and worked hard to find us a place that felt safe for our 13 month old son. We always felt as if they were on our side. Once we fell madly in love with a place, (finally!), they made sure we got it. Now we could not be happier. We are so in love with this place, and cannot imagine living anywhere else. Many thanks to Carmela and her team from The Koppelman Family.

Carmela and her team are amazing, professional, caring and very hard working. I found an apartment through her and unfortunately the landlord decided to rent it out from under all of us! We were all pretty upset about it. So Carmela and the team made many phone calls on my behalf and showed me several apartments trying to get me into a place for a Feb. 1st move in. Trust me... if you're looking for a reliable, professional, hardworking person to help you find a place in Astoria... then Carmela is your girl!
