Terrible communication. No response at all after a week and a half of several attempts to see an apartment I was very interested in.

Unethical- Save your time. Go to Corcoran or Douglas Elliman, all of those brokers are probably way better and more experienced for NYC.

Carmela is a very good realtor that knows the market and is fair to all parties. However, i was pleasantly surprised after the open house we went to contract. Thank yiu for making it easy on us.

Carmela was the worst experience I've ever had with a realtor. I will tell you why...

Let's start with the viewing of the apt.
She lies about when the apt is posted. You have to look it up yourself.

The application process was 2+ weeks. If you have to move in a month, and the listing says available immediately, 14 days is an extremely long amount of time for a realtor to turn this around.

When the contract/lease for the apt was finally available, her and the realtor company (Realtor Executives who you will see posted multiple times on yelp under slight variances in names) were unresponsive as many other yelp reviews have expressed.

Furthermore, when she no longer wants to respond to follow up her assistant or daughter will answer and tell you she's on vacation.

I would recommend going with a realtor with a better track record of accountability.

BEWARE!!!! One of the worst experiences I've ever had with CARMELA and KELLY!!!!

Where do I begin? Last week I saw a listing I was interested in. I called the phone # listed, the apt. was listed under CARMELA. I called a few times, days went by and nothing! No word from CARMELA. 

Since, and only since, I liked the pictures of the apt. I decided to call the actual office of Realty Executives (this Monday). I told the front desk lady my situation and she transferred me to CARMELA'S secretary. The secretary took my information and told me she would get in contact with CARMELA and the super to see if I could go see the apt. Great! I was naive to think I'd actually get a call back. 

So on Tuesday, I called and spoke to Christina, told her my situation. She said I could call back on Wednesday after 12pm and speak to KELLY (person in charge of complaints and such). 

So today, Wednesday, I called and Christina picked up again and went to transfer my call to KELLY. However,  Christina comes back on the line and says "Kelly knows your situation and suggested I put you thru CARMELA'S secretary to help you". Are you kidding me? 

Kelly refused my call!!!! I told Christina the purpose of my call and the importance of speaking with KELLY. Christina was nice at first, even offering me another realtor. But my point was I wanted to address the initial concern with the horrible follow-up and customer satisfaction. Christina became very rude and smart with her comments. I then told her do me a favor and throw out my information,  I want nothing to do with you guys. 

Then guess who finally calls me.....CARMELA! Not to apologize and fix things,  rather to interrogate me and try to catch me in a lie. Why?  I wonder if it's because she knew this wasn't the first time ppl have complained about the same situation....I guess she needed to cover her butt.

She had the nerve to tell me after I told her when I called, who I spoke to,  and what phone # i called; that it is highly unlikely that this happened. So I just made all this up? I had nothing better to do? Come on!!!!

So unprofessional, rude, insulting, and ridiculous. Do your research.....you'll see all the negative reviews on this woman! 

I have submitted a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Yes! my experience was that bad!!!!

The worst real estate agent of the entire world!!! I don't absolutely recommend Carmela!! Be aware!!! We had a really bad experience selling our house. A nightmare. She is greedy for money! I will never and ever forget what happened. Don't call her to buy/sell/rent your house.

I like Carmela & she helped me look at a bunch of apartments in a number of price ranges in a single day. Was she 30 minutes late meeting the first time in person to a post I saw online? Yes, but she called and was nice about it, so I went back and looked at the co-op building and we struck up a report. We spent a few hours driving around & through it all she was helpful, resourceful, diligent and pleasant.

I do feel like I slightly over paid for my apartment compared to some of the research I was able to do afterwards, but it was my choice to select the apartment I did and it's her job to get people like me to pay rent somewhere so they can pay her a brokers fee.

Carmela made it easy for me to find an apartment in just two days coming all the way from Portland, Oregon. She also helped me feel welcome moving to Astoria & I appreciated that.

Don't hate the playa, hate the game.

Carmela is a terrible real estate agent. She can be over an hour late & will be unapologetic. She of course will have many excuses as to why she was late. She is very unprofessional and will waste your time. Avoid her if you can!

My girlfriend and I were looking for an apartment in Astoria, and decided to use Carmela because she had several apartments listed on Craigslist. Now I want to preface this by saying I don't know whether their problems are a reflection of Carmela or her team, but either way our experience with Realty Executives Today was awful.

The first time I made an appointment, her assistant called and had to cancel, which would have been fine but she canceled only 20 minutes beforehand. I expect to get more notice for a can celled appointment. For my second appointment, my girlfriend and I got to the office, filled out paperwork, and waited for 45 minutes. Carmela's assistant finally came in and said she can't show the apartment building because it wasn't open after 5 PM. So, you couldn't have figured this out before we got there? What a huge waste of our time!

I finally was able to see the apartment. They were not very informative. They didn't know answers to simple questions like what the square footage of the apartment was, or what type of work are they doing in the basement. They claimed that extra storage was being built, but the landlord said that wasn't the case.

My girlfriend scheduled her own appointment to see the apartment, and Carmela showed up over 30 minutes late. So unprofessional!

In conclusion, dealing with Carmela was a huge waste of our time and a huge disappointment. Unless you're desperate to see a certain apartment that only they are showing, look elsewhere to find your real estate broker.

Based on limited interaction, not sure I 'trust' her. She just seems like another typical NYC broker (esp like a Manhattan type). One time I was interested in seeing a house for sale. She said it was 'gone', yet weeks later, still the For Sale sign out front. Another time I called her about a rental apt and same thing...it was 'gone'...

Also, she has posters of herself plastered all over Astoria for rentals, sales, etc. I'm always suspicious of brokers like that...
