Great little market has everything you need to have a great Meal, everything Oaxacan style the meats always fresh, great cheese and a wide variety of items from Oaxaca! Have been a regular at the Santa Monica location for about 6 years now.

If there is any other place in Los Angeles that carries those huge Oaxaqueña corn tortillas (both white and blue masa), we haven't found it. They also carrie chapulines, a variety of moles in the refrigerated section and lots of traditional meats. The young woman at the register is very kind and helpful.

If you are looking for authentic Chorizo from Oaxaca this is the place they also recently opened a new location at 10717 Venice Blv which is a lot bigger and they also serve food and aguas frescas like horchata they have friendly staff and this is why I continue to shop at their Meat Markets and because they offer quality Chorizo Oaxaca style of course they also have a variety of Oaxaca products like Quesillo and blended refried black beans that I can't find no where but here not to mention their salsas made with chili peppers from Oaxaca you must check it out

An amazing place to come to for all your Oaxacan cravings! My family especially love the Tlayudas aka Mexican pizzas made by Daniel outside the market!! They're delicious! They're made fresh in front of you and so yummy!!! He's there on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and typically Fridays! The best tlayudas you could try in West LA - Santa Monica area!

The people behind La Flama have been running outstanding Oaxacan-based spots on the west side for a long time. They make great, authentic food, and are always really friendly. This newer location has an outdoor tlayuda stand almost every night that is a GREAT addition to the neighborhood.

I love coming to this grocery store!! They always have everything that I need. My family and I come here twice a week just to keep restocking. Everything that they sell is always fresh and their prices are amazing. Come to La Flama you won't be disappointed!

Walked in (since the door was open) a quarter after eight pm. There were two guys sitting down, chatting behind the counter. Asked to buy tasajo (salty meat), I've of them looked at me and said "we're closed" -- really?! I suggested of they were closed, they SHOULD CLOSE the front door.... Isn't that obvious.

We are very sorry about that huge inconvenience, but we as a butcher shop do close at 8pm, while the Restraunt closes at 10pm.
Just like when you enter a pharmacy, the the pharmacy itself closes sooner than the store itself, due to the different hours.
We previously were not able to sale past 8pm due to not having change to return to our customers past 8pm, but we have reviewed and changed our restrictions and workers of Carniceria La Flama are no longer allow to deny service to any future customers that may want to buy meat while they are still present. There are always workers in the restaurant but they are not allowed to sell meat to clients who may want some, so we are very sorry for that inconvenience.
