Carolina Microblading

Henrietta is a consummate professional. I'm a newbie to microblading or any permanent makeup for that matter. I don't even dye my hair. I've been noticing my eyebrows become more and more sparse as I've aged and taken various medications. My mom suggested I look into microblading. I'd heard nightmare stories about eyebrow tattooing and I was very skeptical. Henrietta and I thoroughly discussed my concerns over the phone and text and she told me she is a licensed Phi-brow artist and they have a standard "golden ratio" when determining eyebrow shape. I did some research on this and realized it's more than just an art -- it's also a science. Henrietta trained one Europe with the Phi institute. She charges more than other brow "artists" but the majority of those I researched just had a tattoo license (one class and you get a permit. Similar to the process of getting a gun). You don't even have to have an aesthetician license.

When I arrived for my appointment, Henrietta listened to what I was nervous about and walked me through the whole process again. She talked to me throughout the microblading to make sure I wasn't in any pain and telling me what she was doing. I had a mirror in my hand and she encouraged me to look and give her feedback if I wanted to. I really didn't need to. She is more of a perfectionist than I am and that's saying a lot!

A couple people have commented that I look 10 years younger and asked what I'm doing differently. This was the best $ I've spent on myself. Eyebrows really do make the face. I'm so impressed and give Henrietta my highest recommendation! She works magic!

I had to go back for the lash lift. It was a simple and quick procedure in my opinion. No pain, just felt like I would cry but I didn't. Check it out!

I should've done this years ago!!!! I came here for microblading but we decided powder brows was better for me. Henrietta is super nice and professional and made all my anxiousness go away! I totally trusted her and her opinions and she made me feel super comfortable! We had a GREAT conversation. I hardly ever trust strangers to do anything to my hair, makeup, eyebrows, etc. but she did absolutely amazing! Everything about this experience was excellent!

1st of all - I rarely do reviews. I had to for Carolina Microblading/Henrietta because my experience was exceptional.

Like most of us, we haven't had our faces altered with a sterile scalpel and ink, so the process can be disconcerting to say the least.
This is not a thing to have done using a Groupon. Don't skimp.
I only went to Henrietta because my friend recommended her and I had NEVER seen eyebrow microblading turn out so well. No Joke.

Customer Service: A++
Henrietta is committed to communicating with her clients AND prospective clients promptly, with grace and attentiveness.
This is her side-job and passion. Her life goal is to "make women feel and look their best". This shines through in her whole practice.

Office Atmosphere: A++
When you walk in, its small and intimate. There is cool-vibe music playing and aromatherapy oils diffusing.

Microblading Studio Cleanliness: A+++
I cant even express how clean and sterile Henrietta's studio is. You look around and its immaculate. Its set up like a surgical room (with an aesthetic and warm/comforting touch).

Personality: I cant even rate this - off the charts.
The aforementioned passion shines through, starting with Henrietta's personality. She is a compassionate woman, and wants to make sure that her clients feel taken care of.
She's down-to-earth and relatable.

The Microblading process: A+++
Henrietta explained everything that she was going to do.
She would map out my face (with her protractor), making sure that everything was completely symmetrical.
She measured and measured and plotted the lines. And made sure what she was doing was within her app guidelines (as an extra measure).
Went back and plotted again with such precision. Measured again. Made sure that it mapped correctly again.
Then showed me what my new brow outline would look like - always letting me hold the mirror so I could see.
I was amazed - could my brows really have this shape?? This shape looks amazing, I'm thinking.
Once its all mapped out, she numbs the area with a topical ointment and then she gets to work.
The initial mapping took about 45 mins (Henrietta is very meticulous).
The microblading took a while - about 2 hours.
She does one and then keeps refining. Back and forth.
"Oh, I just need to do two more strokes right here, and then I'll be happy".
"Oh, just one more here, and I'll be happy".
She is VERY personally invested in her clients. She knows her clients' satisfaction is her self-satisfaction.

After leaving her studio:
I was dumbfounded. I couldn't believe that for the past 10 years I had been filling in my "okay" brows in with idk how many brow pencils, but most recently the Benefit "Precisely, My Brow Pencil Ultra-Fine Shape & Define" (which is my fave, but looks SOO FAKE!!).
I cant tell you how much $$ I've spent on brow pencils, shadows, etc to try to make my brows frame my face.
I went home and was scared to look at them.
But now, each time I do, its scary how good it looks. And to think that they only look awesome due to a beautiful woman, with a genuine purpose and a steady hand with a blade and ink - making tiny hair strokes above my eyes.

After battling cancer 3 years ago, I lost my eyebrows. I had to pencil them in, I was always worried if they rubbed off, sweated off, if they were too dark or not dark enough. I came across Carolina Microblading on Facebook and thought, what hell. I'm so glad I did!!! Henrietta is absolutely amazing! She made me feel comfortable and explained everything she was doing and asked if I was comfortable (throughout the process).
I had the powderbrow technique done (didn't hurt at all) of course my eyebrow area was numb. But seriously, go check out Carolina Microblading and put your eyebrows in Henrietta's hands and you won't be sorry

I can't say enough good things about Henrietta. My eyebrows look amazing. I wish I had known about her when I had my brows microbladed years ago. She corrected the color from the botched job and then gave my my dream brows. I definitely recommend her for Microblading and permanent makeup.

I had an appointment with Henrietta for a brow lamination and tint for the first time. Henrietta was kind, patient, and professional. She also took her time to explain the lamination process and answered all of my questions. Definitely see Henrietta for all of your brow needs!

I was very nervous to get the microblading but Henrietta talked me through my fears over the phone. When I went to my appointment she was Amazing! She is so warm, friendly, and professional. I absolutely LOVE my eyebrows! They are gorgeous. :) I cannot recommend her enough. I'm going back tomorrow to get the eyeliner done. I can't wait!
