Mi friend and I met cat Caspian Cuisine on a Tuesday at 6:15 pm three weeks ago. We enjoyed the food and told them so when they asked us. They requested a yelp review and we said OK, but then around 7:30 they kept coming interrupting our conversation, which we didn't like. At 7:55 pm they said they were closing. We were very surprised, as Google has them listed as open until 9 pm (even to this day!)
I made a mistake and used the wrong credit card, but since I am rarely in the area (I went specifically to dine there that night!), it has taken me to today to stop by and request a transfer to another card. The response from the same lady who asked us for a review was a dismissive "oh, we changed our system, I cannot do it." And she just moved on to the next person who was processing a to-go order.
I do not believe that you cannot keep your accounting current just because you change your payment system. What if you get audited? Are you going to say that to the IRS, for example? I had the $100 receipt, of course! She didn't even ask me!!
So I am not satisfied at all because a reimbursement and re-credit is, I understand, an inconvenience, but on the other hand, a very normal operation to be expected from a customer, especially one you would like to see come back!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 2 - Fatimah F.CA, CA0237Feb 23, 2024

Been wanting to try this Mediterranean Restaurant and finally we're able to go since we're in the area. The foods we ordered were delicious and generous in portions. The staff were efficient and quite tentative. The ambiance was nice and the decorations were simple. We'll be back since everyone liked the foods.

Met up with some friends for lunch a few days ago....
Pros: parking! Lots of seating, we were only 1 of 2 parties there. Helpful, well, one helpful waitstaff who noticed we we're planning on double ordering on salad, she gave us good advice, so that we were able to switch our order (note: all entrees come with decent size salads!)
Cons: one server was not friendly. She kept giving weird looks to one friend, and I wasn't the only person who noticed.
Food: some parts tasty (salmon kabob was cooked well), chicken was ok, beef was ok too. Pita seemed store bought, nothing special about it. The beef kabob was the only one with two skewers. The chicken and salmon only came with one skewer, my husband thought that the menu noted to skewers per kebab order, so you should double check that if you plan to order kabobs!
Their baklava is made fresh in-house, although I still feel like the Gilroy spot (Mr. Falafel), is/was way better when it comes to baklava!
Not sure we'd come back... the one waitstaff was quite off-putting. If you go, hopefully you get the friendly one!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - shyam k.Sunnyvale, CA1161Apr 26, 2024
I can not understand how this place has such a good rating - we were at the Mountain View location
I wish I could give -very star rating
The food was bad - falafel was not fresh - I had better frozen store bought ones
Chicken kabobs were dry and no flavor at all
Service was horrible - had to try multiple times to get any attention from the server when we want to order - and the place was not even busy
There are lot of good Mediterranean places in the area - do your self a favor and don't go to this placeHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - nanu b.Sunnyvale, CA2212311Feb 8, 2024
First time here. Warm and friendly staff, food is delicious and presented in such an impressive manner.
Kebabs were flavorful and moist. Salad was fresh and zingy. Only miss was rice that was plentiful but lacked flavor. I wished it was cooked in some richly flavored broth.
Ambience was very calm and had a truly relaxing meal.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Betty R.Culver City, CA115291Apr 7, 2024
Caspian Sea is a resort area in Iran. We ordered the marinated chicken breast kabob to share and it came in a simin, a traditional serving dish. How delightful! I love the decor and the classical guitar music playing. We also ordered a salad shirazi and it came with a yogurt that was mixed with spearmint and same bread. The chicken breast kabob was very tender. The server brought over a water carafe and I saw her fill it from a water filtration system. They also serve wine. A pleasant surprise in Mountain View. Absolutely delicious!
