Ample servings. Knowledgeable and attentive wait staff. Fabulous marinara sauce. Great white fish. Wonderful mussels in white wine butter sauce. Brought the leftover sauce home. Tossed it with capellini. Mmmmmmm.

We were looking for a great place to eat for a late breakfast on Black Friday and happened to stumble upon Centro. It was a surprise gem! I had the crab cakes Benedict and my mom had the frittata. It blew us away! And the coffee was exactly what I was looking for! Just fantastic! The server, Carlos, took care of everything with a smile. We will definitely be returning and telling our friends!

I enjoyed the food and presentation. Great customer service, good music and overall atmosphere. If you like good pasta this is the place for you.

In from out of town. We stopped in for a second time and have gotten great service and drinks both times. Highly recommended!

I came here with 6 of my girlfriends for a birthday celebration for two of them. It was 2 weeks after the re-opening. My girlfriends all knew the place from before the reopening, and thought very highly of it.
For me the experience that night was disappointing. Food wasn't anything special, and we ended up paying over $500. Definitely not worth the money!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lisha S.Chicago, IL27634Jun 13, 2014
Came here the Saturday after Christmas around 10pm. There was a party celebrating a 50th bday party. Very loud and rude. Took the server longer than normal to greet us. Ordered, bread was brought out and ten minutes later someone realized that we were missing oil and cheese. Server was not well versed on liquor options and seemed rushed and uninterested while taking our orders and attending to us. Meal was mediocre at best. Not interested in coming back.

Typical Rosebud standards, which by the way are consistently tasty. Nothing unique about this particular Rosebud variation. If I was really craving Italian in this area, I would divide my time up with Divanti Enoteca which is right across the street.

We ate at Centro a few weeks ago for a late Saturday dinner. Interesting and at times weird club music was playing. Our waitress, Boyana, was the best part of the meal--gracious and very good at describing the various menu items. My chicken Milanese was like shoe leather. My husband's "world's best spaghetti and meatballs" as it was billed on the menu was average at best. The food came out lukewarm. And unfortunately the dessert we ordered was all gone. The prices were high and salads were not offered with the overpriced entrees.

Amazing experience!! Service was fantastic, wine list was great, managers were all over the table, and food couldn't be better. Crab salad and Calamari Calabrese were the starters and then went to Cavatelli Rosebud and Pappardelle. Ricoota Cheesecake and Tiramisu ended our meal. And some Sambuca of course. I'm a huge fan of LaScarola on Grand, but Rosebud has amazing food.

This is my second time at Centro (State & Hubbard). Another of the Rosebud restaurants. I ordered wheat pasta with Marinara sauce. A glass of wine starts @ $9.00. I ordered an Allegrini Soave, Veneto. The wine list is very extensive. My pasta was penne. The specials sounded scrumptious. The restaurant was beautifully decorated with wreaths, a Christmas tree and white and red poinsettias. The server/bartender, Bridget, was very informative and gracious. The Marinara was delicious. It took a while. I took the rest home. I'm looking forward to some of the other menu items.
