Springs broken from normal use. Ken came when arranged, did fantastic job including explaining things to me going forward. Terrific technical knowledge and customer service. Definitely my go to now. Thanks Ken!

I called Champion at 3:24 on Friday. Their Tech, Omar, Came to our house at 4:30 for evaluation. After we agreed over the service cost, he started to work right away. He worked very fast and meticulously. He finished the work and tested the garage door multiple times and left about 6pm. I am very happy with his work quality and demeanor. I recommend champions garage door repair 100%.

Champions came and diagnosed the problem and had the garage door fixed in several hours. even though it was just a spring issue, they redid the wiring for my convenience! now my garage door runs smoother and much quieter! thank you!

My experience with Champions Garage Door Repair was one of those rare experiences where I felt like the money I spent was well deserved and the customer service was outstanding.

I called on a Saturday afternoon (I had no expectation that they would be out that evening) and the technician (Ken) arrived the next day within the first hour of the 2.5 hour window I was told to expect. Ken was friendly and immediately got to work. He took stock of our situation and offered options for repair ranging from repairing just what was needed all the way up to a complete door replacement if we wanted since we had some cosmetic issues with our door. He stated the facts for our options, but didn't push us in any particular direction. When we decided on a plan, he set to work and was done quickly.

When done, he explained that a previous repair service didn't install the correct strength spring and rather than replacing what was already there, he installed the proper spring with no change to the price quoted.

I'm very satisfied with the service and price paid, and will call this company first the next time my garage door needs service.

So I wanted to get my garage door opener repaired or replaced as it stopped lifting my door. Champions was on the ball with replying to my request for setting up an estimate and were able to come out the next day to look at my issue. I loved the quick response and availability.

I did not like that they charge a $29 fee for coming to do an estimate. They warn you ahead of time about the charge and if you end up using them to service your door, the $29 gets applied towards the overall cost of the job but I didn't like having to pay for an estimate. Oh well, I thought they are rated highly on Yelp so I'll let it ride.

The day the tech arrived, I lifted the door manually to let him in and the cable broke on one side of the door and the spring almost shot off the garage door entirely. My door was no completely busted so I had no choice but to have the tech replace the springs as well as the door opener. So much for just getting an estimate.

But okay, now I'm stuck and I need work done on the spot. The tech explains to me that replacing the springs is about a $400 flat fee. My total bill for replacing the springs and garage door opener was $1,025. So total cost minus the $400 flat fee for the springs leaves over $600 for the garage door equipment and the labor for installing it. That seems quite steep to me.

The tech was courteous, knowledgeable and pleasant. He did a good job with the install and then explained the features of the garage door opener. I appreciated that.

I am very happy with this company's customer service but I feel the price is somewhat high.

Now, I've never had to replace a garage door opener before but I would definitely recommend getting quotes from several companies before deciding to move forward with one. Especially if you don't have an emergency situation.

Typical bait-and-switch tactics, unfortunately. Called them up to make an appointment and was told by the lady on the phone (after I described my issue thoroughly and in technical terms) that the price would be $45 for them to come out + around $120 to actually fix the issue. I was told that I shouldn't quote her on the price though, but it would be "around" that. I agreed, and purchased their $60 for $100 deal on Yelp. Ken shows up, takes one look at the garage door, and says that he doesn't know what I was told on the phone, nor does he care, but the price is actually $275 (more than double what I was quoted as a "ballpark" number). I tried several times to get him to itemize how he arrived at that number, but he refused, saying "that's the rate, take it or leave it."

Me: Will parts be needed? Is that why it's more?
Ken: No, only labor.
Me: OK...well how long is this job going to take?
Ken: Could be 10 minutes, could be an hour, he replies.
Me: Even assuming it takes the full hour, you're saying your hourly rate is $275??
Ken: That's irrelevant, the job costs what it costs.

I chose to not accept the rate, which I feel justified as viewing as a scam, and handed over the certificate I purchased for $60 to cover the $45 sucker fee I incurred by having them come out. Ken told me that somebody will "probably" contact me to refund the extra $15. Let's just say I'm not holding my breath for that to happen.

I was very pleased with the service of Ken. He offered a solution to my broken door and installed a new opener on one door. Other companies would not fix the door but suggested replacing both. Ken listened to my side and created a solution that keeps my original door working well. This was all done after normal hours and I do appreciate the great customer service.

I have found these guys here in Yelp , I called hoping for the same day service. Anton our technician was here within the hour ! He was able to fix our garage door working super fast on an extremely hot day and the price was more than reasonable . Great Job :-)

Champions was great. They were able to schedule an appointment for me next day. Ken came out and diagnosed the issue (or issues) within minutes. He was very friendly and was able to clearly explain everything to me. Turns out the previous owner had the door replaced shortly before selling the house, and the installation was done incorrectly in a few ways and things slowly got worse and worse over a couple years of use

Ken was able to make all the adjustments on the spot. So I went from a racking/squeeling door to smooth sailing in LESS THAN 24 hours!

I appreciated the honesty, knowledge, and quick turn. He was even able to replace the weather stripping on the sides which was also put on sloppily by the original installers.
