Haircut was fine, but watch out for surprise charges. She added $10 because of "length" - shoulder length hair that took the normal 20 minutes to cut.

Please expectations correctly. For a $47 + tip haircut on a 4 year old I'd probably go elsewhere.

Laura (owner) has been cutting my sons hair since his first haircut. He is now 6. Laura is professional, kind, and great with children. I would recommend her to anyone in the area.
The reason for 4 stars is because of the recent price increase. $35 for a boys haircut will unfortunately have me looking elsewhere.

We have been going to Chappa Cuts for a while and today we went to the new location and less friendly. The new location is smaller with no public bathroom and no sink to wash hair. In addition, we were told after arrival that the prices had changed and they were changing based on length. This was not disclosed on their reservation app. Both children left with their hair braided and covered in sparkles. For the first time, it felt like overpaying with subpar haircuts. For the price paid, we can go to another salon, where hair will be washed, and cut will be better. Disappointed because I used to love this place.

Very easy online scheduling. It was clean, kid friendly and my son immediately felt at home! Laura was easygoing, and her calm demeanor put us both at ease. Most toddlers don't like to sit still, so I wasn't sure how he would react, but she had all the tricks and tools to make it a quick, efficient and painless first haircut. She listened and gave us exactly the cut we asked for ie fixing my hilariously choppy pandemic home haircuts. I can see what another reviewer was saying about not really engaging with the child during the haircut, but I see that as a positive thing! I love chatting with my own hairdresser, but sometimes they just need to focus. I can only imagine the amount of focus and control you need to have with an unpredictable kid who might move around at any moment! Will def go back and recommend to others.

My son went here twice. The first time they messed up his hair on the side, but we didn't think it was awful. The second time the stylist refused to wear a mask around our 1 year old, despite politely asking -- absolutely disrespectful, especially around a young toddler. Ultimately we're very disappointed by the service here.

the new location has no sink to wash hair. when I walked in with my daughter with very curly hair the owner was extremely rude. she scolded my daughter immediately for touching one of the toys she sells in there . proceeded to turn her back to me and ignore my questions about the sink until I specifically asked if she was owner. I told her my daughter needs her hair soaking wet in order to cut bc of the curls and she was totally fine with us walking out with no hair cuts didn't apologize didn't offer to try to spray with conditioner or anything . so RUDE will never go back

The haircuts always are bad, no matter how many times I've gone and tried to give them another shot. They also play the worst possible kids shows and won't turn them off. They don't speak to or engage with the kids at all, just aim to distract them. I've taken my daughter and my sons and their hair just looks terrible each time, we can't figure out how they stay open but also haven't found anywhere else to go!

Came here for my 13-month-old's first haircut, and was truly amazed by how great their team was. Seriously. I arrived at 11 a.m., was immediately welcome in by masked employees. Each station was well-separated by a curtain to contain each little customer. Laura, the owner, did the haircut, and she was so speedy, but also so thorough. My son was an emotional wreck, but they were so gentle and great with him. For $29, plus a cute little certificate with a lock of hair, this was such a great value and we will definitely be back!

I've been taking my son since it opened its doors. My son is on the Austin's spectrum and Laura has gone above and beyond to give my son his haircut. She's gotten down on the floor, has done his hair during meltdowns, you name it. Now he's a little older and LOVES going to the salon and sit in his favorite chair while watching Netflix. I travel all the way from the Bronx because she's just the BEST! I would recommend her and her staff to any Mom!! And now they are following all the protocols and social distancing while still providing amazing service! Trust me, you won't regret taking your kids there for a cut!
