As always, staff were friendly and accommodating. The food is low-cost and affordable. However, if you have celiac disease (GLUTEN FREE for an actual allergy/sensitivity) you're very limited in what you can/cannot have. The fryer is cross-contaminated, but the ahi-tuna and other sides are pretty straight-forward. The salads of course are reliable without croutons and are large portions. Getting grilled chicken is risky still if you're as severe a case of celiacs as me.
I've posted some pics of my friends' non-gf food. The onion rings were too much batter but with the low price and super friendly staff we aren't complaining.
I love this place but I took off a star for the lack of variety when accommodating a gluten-free clientele. Happy holidays!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jun 20, 2023
I enjoy stopping at the Cherokee when I'm in the area. Great selection of micros on tap (20+), and if you're a beer snob, plenty of odd bottles and cans.
This is not the place to go to get Bud, Coors, etc,
Great menu with attentive staff.
I like the tuna BLT; get it with a side of Mac n cheese. You can't go wrong.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cora W.Riverside, PA020Mar 4, 2024
Very good food and fast service. There was lots of variation in the menu. I really liked the fries, they were crispy and delicious. Staff could have been more welcoming, but everyone has their off days. The food was good and I would definitely return!

If I could give this place 10,000 stars I would. The service and effort is unmatched, and their cakes are fantastic.
Story time: My step-sister's wedding was yesterday and her original wedding cake looked like a toddler decorated it -- it was a terrible cake to say the least. We called Cherokee Tap Room to get an emergency wedding cake only 2 hours before we needed it, and they absolutely exceeded our expectations. They don't even normally make wedding cakes but made a special case for our situation.
I don't know how it's possible to make a wedding cake in only 2 hours with no prior notice, and on top of that, the cake was gorgeous and delicious.
The team here is reliable, kind, and devoted to good service. Way to save the day, team!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 1, 2020
Cute place with seemingly good selection of whiskey and lengthy beer selection. This could have been made better by having a whiskey list as it proved difficult to order. Beer selection may be too big or at least poorly organized as our party got the wrong beer brought out twice.
The food was really good! And we were all part of the clean plate clubs! Had all of the appetizers, large dishes, and 4 desserts so I feel fairly qualified to state there was not a bad dish in the house! Overall good experience and with just a few updates this place would be a solid 4-5 stars.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - D M.Ludlow, MA4331Nov 18, 2023
We love Cherokee Tap Room! The owners are the nicest people and they have such a great selection of food and drinks. We held a brunch here the morning after our son's wedding and everything was amazing! The restaurant was closed that day but they opened just for our private party. The sausage patties are made in house as were the danish. Everyone raved about how delicious and fresh all of the food was. Every time we are in Danville this is our first stop. They are always so welcoming and make us feel like family.

First of all, the good news. My husband and I enjoyed our first visit to the tap room. The food was good, the atmosphere relaxing, and the staff efficient and friendly. Impressed with the brunch menu, we decided to have my birthday brunch here with our family.
After a few days of unanswered phone calls, I was able to confirm a date and time for 14 people (which turned into 16). Due to rainy weather, the staff was very accommodating in giving us a separate room, which suited our family perfectly!
I wish I could say it was a great place for our gathering. Unfortunately there were many issues, as follows: most of the food was ok, not great. The menu reads better than the quality of the food. They ran out of breakfast potatoes, and some had to wait for over an hour to receive their food after others were done eating. The 3 final orders delivered were plain french toast which was gooey and gross and sent back to the kitchen uneaten. The waitress seemed to want to do a good job but was at the mercy of poor management. Perhaps the kitchen was unprepared to cook for another 16 people even though the restaurant was not overly busy at any time? Thank goodness the game room was available to keep some entertained while waiting for the rest of our food order, which lasted an hour and a half.
I've been in the restaurant business...things happen. However, we were not offered any apology or concern for our less than desirable experience, except from the waitress. It appeared management didn't really care. I wish I had read some of the more recent reviews which seem to mimic our unfavorable experience.
In closing, with proper management and a little attention to details, this establishment could be an awesome place for family fun, food, and drinks. Please give some thought to better customer service and satisfaction. And to future customers, stick to going there with just another couple, not bigger groups.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Amber P.Williamsport, PA251Oct 28, 2023
The food was ok and the servers were very nice. However, we were a bit surprised when we got the check. When ordering, we asked if we could order the BLTT (bacon, lettuce, tomato, and tuna steak) without the tuna - a regular BLT, and the waiter told us that would be no problem. The sandwich was fine, a bit messy but ok. However, when we received the bill, we noticed we were still charged $16.25 for the sandwich that did not have a tuna steak on it. Ok, no big deal. We asked if they could either adjust the total to reflect the lack of tuna steak or give us the tuna steak to go. The very sweet waiter spoke with the manager, within view of us, and she rolled her eyes and looked genuinely annoyed. The waiter came back to tell us that we could have the tuna steak but it might be awhile because a large wedding party had just placed their orders. So now, we're still sitting here, 15 minutes after finishing our meals, because they couldn't be bothered to adjust our bill by a few dollars. As someone who has worked in customer service for over 20 years, I can tell you that making it right for the customer and adjusting the price of a sandwich is far less expensive than a negative customer experience and negative review. Oh well. Word travels faster than it takes to sear a tuna steak.

This place is so good! We stopped by after knoebels as a large party and were pleasantly surprised by the excellent food and craft beer! Wonderful service too. Will definitely return when we go back to Knoebels!

Cherokee was one of my favorite spots when I moved here in 2020. So much so that I've held family celebrations and corporate dinners here, along with recommending them around the communities of Bloomsburg and Danville. However, tonight will be the last time I dine here.
The last couple times we've come, the food has been subpar and drinks quite disappointing.
Tonight, we had a group dining. To be fair, our appetizers arrived timely and were good.
Beers arrived warm.
We waited for 1.5 hour for our food to arrive. Half the dishes were cold to the touch, the other half luke warm at best.
The waitress asked how everything was, we expressed our concerns, she apologized.
No manager ever came to check on us or apologize. Instead the managers and wait staff gathered around the bar, chatting.
Checks arrived, no discount, no comp on apps or drinks.... They even charged us all for extra bread for our crab dip .67 each!
Last time I'll dine here, no longer a go to recommendation locally.
Very sad.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
