Chris Ognek - Q Real Estate

I cannot even tell you how glad we were to have selected Chris Ognek for our home search. How good was our experience? I'm returning to write a review for a house he helped us close on but couldn't help us buy himself - he's THAT good. Chris shows his "client needs first" ethics in every interaction.

We were certainly no stranger to real estate agents as a natural disaster had displaced us and required us to complete our fourth real estate transaction in 1.5 years. However, we were brand new to the Fredericksburg, VA area and knew no one so we starting reading reviews. We saw Chris had glowing positive reviews and decided to use him.

What we got from him far exceeded our expectations. Chris is a PHENOMENAL professional. First, if there is someone with more knowledge of his area, profession, and value - I don't know that I'd believe they exist. Chris understands the market, home values, and after a short conversation he can help you select (down to the community/neighborhood) what you are looking for in the area. He came prepared BY THE ZIP CODE with maps to our first meeting and showed us areas he thought we'd like homes. He was right too!

His organization and planning was so incredible. We viewed 6 homes in one day and Chris had them timed to the minute and took in consideration drive times, not wasting time by driving back and forth, etc. it was a masterclass of being prepared and thorough.

So in closing, why are we reviewing him when he didn't actually help us buy our new home (Richmond area)? Because after realizing we couldn't find exactly what we were looking for in his area, Chris helped us find what we were looking for IN A MARKET HE DOESN'T EVEN REPRESENT Why? Because when he says he wants to help you find what you need, he means it. There were homes we wanted in the areas he described, but none were available, so he helped us find a place somewhere else.

I'm telling you, this one is a no brainer. My wife and I were beyond impressed with Chris. If we ever buy, sell, or anything real estate related ever again - we will definitely use him. 5 stars aren't enough. Thanks Chris!!

Chris is a fantastic realtor! We were moving across the country, so we had limited ability to conduct home tours. Chris was meticulous in understanding and prioritizing our needs and wants, and did a amazing job of finding us the right home. His experience was very valuable as he did video tours on our behalf. We really appreciated his honesty, he was clear if he felt the house was not a good deal or not a right fit for us. 5/5 would recommend to friends coming into the area!

After talking to Chris for a few minutes, we immediately knew we wanted him as our agent to help us find a home. Chris went above and beyond in helping us. I bought a house through Chris in 2018 and sold that house in 2022 through Chris. He is responsive, knowledgeable, patient, and effective! For buying I never felt rushed or pressured, and for selling I felt supported and well taken care of. I will recommend him to anyone I know looking!

As a licensed real estate agent from another State, I cannot stress enough how important agent selection is in the home buying process. My husband and I were recently transferred to Virginia due to my husband's job. I searched for respected Realtors and reached out to Chris Ognek.
Chris was prompt to respond to me, but unfortunately, Chris was going to be out of town during our "scout" trip to the area. Fortunately, Rosmary Goudyrev (Chris' colleague) was willing and able to show us around. Rosmary endured my marathon list of homes and areas, and even drove out of area to show us some homes of interest. We had not intended to purchase a home the weekend of our visit, but we found a home we thought would work for us and decided to make an offer.
The market in Fredericksburg is just as competitive as my home market, but I am not familiar with the purchase process in VA so we trusted Rosmary and Chris to guide us through our offer. Chris had returned from out of town at this point, and he met us at the home to assist with the offer and a game plan to "win" the home. The house ended up having multiple offers ( which I am famous for walking away from), but Rosmary and Chris encouraged us to put in an offer and see what happens. Chris knows the market here, and he helped us formulate an offer that had strong terms, but was not the highest offer presented to the sellers! The house appraised over what we paid, and we are so thankful to have had Chris and Rosmary as our real estate agents and advocates.
Chris Ognek and Rosmary Goudyrev were exactly the agents we needed, and I wholeheartedly endorse them to represent you in your real estate transaction. This market is crazy and volatile, and smart, savvy and knowledgeable agents are more important now than ever.

Chris was fantastic to work with from a distance and very professional. He visited properties we were interested in quickly and delivered high quality walkthrough videos with his commentary for us to discuss. He has extensive construction knowledge and made us feel confident that he has our best interests in mind when looking at properties on our behalf. Absolutely highly recommended.

Two comments:
1. I never expected Yelp to be useful for finding professional services. Boy, was I wrong! We contacted Chris Ognek because of his large number of positive reviews on Yelp, and he exceeded our high expectations.
2. We got Chris's help to buy a home in Spotsylvania. One hopes a realtor is knowledgeable about an area, has a good support team (for finance, home inspections, etc), listens well to a client's needs and wants, and gives personal attention (rather than handing a client to a more junior member of the office). Chris hit ALL these marks. In addition, he is just a nice guy.

One example. After completing the home sale, we relocated from another state. We had one of our cars transported, and the transporter missed the scheduled delivery date. We had no one to receive the car, and we had not yet met any of our neighbors. We called Chris, looking for advice. Chris had just gotten off a redeye flight that day, but he dropped what he was doing and PERSONALLY drove to our new home. He put the car securely into the garage. This was on a home where the sale had been completed a MONTH previously. That's "above and beyond" expectations, but typical of Chris.

Chris helped me sell a rental condo I had in Stafford. He was super easy to work with and really responsive to any questions I had. He was able to sell my condo quickly and everything went smoothly, especially considering I no longer live in the area, so they took care of everything that needed to be done on site.

His team is also fantastic, particularly Craig, who handled things once we were under contract. He helped coordinate people to fix some items that came up on the home inspection and made sure those fixes were all done before we closed.

Chris is a consistent and reliable realtor. I felt 100% secure with him at the helm! We were searching from out of state and he took care of us like we were family. This is your guy-- trust me! No one better than Chris.
