I am an Italian cuisine snob. My daughter and I really enjoyed our meal here. This was my second time here. The first time I had the prosciutto sandwich and loved how stacked it was.
We loved the escargot appetizer. My lasagna special was fantastic and filling. I have a new local Italian restaurant favorite.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kristen H.Pittsburgh, PA38228935Dec 7, 2023
This place doesn't look like much but STOP IN
Dining room is dated but it felt super warm. The waitress was very kind and knowledgeable of the menu but the best part was when the actual chef came over to the table and told us what his favorite menu item of the evening was.
The veal is a d*** revelation. i had the steak with crab and it was excellen
This is one of those old school Italian joints. Where your dinner comes with a salad and a postal course and the ministrone soup is no joke there are so many vegetables.
The food was absolutely delicious and high quality. You don't know what hidden gem you have on 51. I love this place so much. I had my birthday dinner here. stop in and eat. I know you have always wondered how the food is. And I am here to tell you it is freaking fabulousHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 1276532080Nov 24, 2023
We came in for an early dinner with a party of 10. My in-laws have been coming here for many years. We did make a reservation.
We were quickly seated and greeted. Our server was the daughter in law of the owner. She was delightful. But all of the employees worked together to ensure that all the guests were well taken care of. Our orders were quickly taken and we began our journey into a food coma.
My mother in law ordered two orders of the fried zucchini. It was thinly sliced and crisp. It was served with marinara. If you are debating it, skip the appetizer. They were delicious but your meal will be so filling you won't need it.
My husband and I both had chicken Marsala. You had your choice of minestrone soup or some type of clam soup. We all got the minestrone. It was full of veggies and great flavor. Very good. They also brought big baskets of garlic and regular thickly sliced fresh bread. That was followed by a large salad. So much food. I was full before my entree ever came out.
The chicken Marsala came in a brown mushroom gravy. You could get it with pasta, fries or spinach. I got the spinach. The chicken was tender and the spinach was full of flavor. There is lots of garlic in the sauces. Did I say yet that there was so much food?
All ten of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The service was beyond great. The food was great. I would definitely come back. We had a wonderful evening.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rich G.Monessen, PA334101Apr 11, 20241 check-in
Very good food. Personable staff... order taken and courses brought out in perfect time. Dimly lit. Very nice atmosphere... they have a bar. Road by this place for 43 years and never stopped. I'm glad I did this time! The wife and I will most certainly be back.

To start the service was amazing and that definitely helps make a meal better. I ordered the veal parm but only because they don't have chicken parm. It came with a salad which was a nice portion but head lettuce if that isn't your thing. It also came with soup which I had the red clam chowder and it was good.
The veal was a very adequate portion and delicious alongside a nice portion of pasta. The sauce was a tad *off* bland I'd say as I prefer my marinara on perhaps a tomato or sweet side.
All in all this was a very nice *First time* visit. YumHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tom J.Jefferson Hills, PA08Apr 2, 2024
Fantastic food & service in a very authentic Italian restaurant! Very clean & attractive inside with an old school charm. Plenty of parking.

If you love Italian food this is the place! No food chain style.. all family! You don't find family owned much anymore.. pay them a lot of respect!

Great value and service. Ordered the Cod to go. Was shocked at the size, at least 10 oz, and amount of food given for sides. They were friendly over the phone as well on pick up. The meal itself was terrific.
