Round Rock - Clearly Eye Care

At first I thought this place was a great deal. They said $100 for an eye exam which was a lot less then I have been quoted at a few other places and they said that included a contacts lens exam. I get there and they say it's better if we also do three other exams and instead of $100 it'll be $145 and we're going to order you some contacts which will make it $160(or at least that's how it was explained to me). I said that's okay because comparatively to the other places that was less but I didn't know that there were unseen charges to come that they would not tell me about until the contact lenses got there.

About a week later I realized I had a pair of frames that would work really well and so I went back there to see if it would work and the woman told me that I had not asked for contact lenses (which I had at least three times during the visit and on the phone) and on top of that it was going to be $80 for them to show me how to put in the contact lenses but would not include contact lenses which brings the price up to $240 from the $100 price that I was quoted in the beginning. The woman at the front desk was unfriendly although the man was a nice guy but clearly didn't have the authority to say or do anything. Basically she called me a liar, saying that I never asked for a contact lens fit... but somehow I knew all this information about how I would have to come back 2 weeks later to get the test fit (of course the $80 extra charge for the fitment wasn't told to me).

I will update as the situation goes along but as of now I would suggest going with a place that will give you a clear full price up front and this is not the place. If you want an eye exam with contact lenses then you'll be looking at about $200 to $260, if someone says less than they're going to be adding charges on top from the research that I've done.

Between the woman being rude and saying that I never said anything about a contact lens exam when I clearly did three times and then up charging me an extra 2.5 times what I was originally going to pay (and that's before paying for contact lenses which are exorbitantly pricey there), I would say go anywhere else but here as of now, but I will update this and see if they try and resolve it in a good way. You'll be able to find the same review on Yelp.

I would say that one star is appropriate since there was at least one person there that was non-confrontational.

I have a new eye doctor after 30+ years of being with another doctor. I gave Dr. Tina a try after a friend referred me. I have probably really needed bi-focals for several years now but my ego stood in the way. At my old doctor they just let me say no to bi-focals even though they probably knew it was best for me. Dr. Tina lovingly helped me make the transition to bi-focals and really assured me that it would be best for me...even though I fought against it. She truly had my best interest in mind and came out of her comfort zone to be a straight shooter with me and help me get beyond my ego. I'm so thankful that after 3 years of putting my glasses on my head to read up close...I now have amazing bi-focals. It's taken a little time to get used to them but I am seeing clearly both near and far now. It's really a huge improvement. I thank Dr. Tina for doing what's best for me.

I also took my daughter to see Dr. To and the visit was more than we expected. Her office is beautiful. She has a great selection of frames and contacts. She accepts the VSP insurance plan and was very knowledgeable about our benefits. We had been to other optometrists in the past and remember it being a painful experience for my daughter with lots of testing techniques that left my daughter's eyes watering and uncomfortable. She didn't experience any discomfort with Dr. To. We were thrilled to see the optomap retinal imaging machine which is very important for monitoring inner eye health long term. Overall it was a great experience and Dr. To is very caring, professional and straight forward when it comes to eye health. I highly recommend her.

My first appointment was great! Learned stuff about my eyes that the last Optometrist didn't not tell me, or was unable to diagnose. She is very thorough, and takes the time to listen to your needs. Very nice clean and safe office with nice staff, and lots of glasses choices. I highly recommend Clearly Eye Care, LLC!

Dr.Tina listened to my eye's symptoms and quickly diagnosed I have a mark / dry spot in my eye that I don't even know it's there all the time. She helped me to choose the best eyeglass framesfor my need. Highly recommend her for the treatment.

From the phone setting up appointments to my children to the visit itself, this office was wonderful. Friendly staff, great doctor, clean office, and a good selection of children's eyewear. I'm glad I found an awesome eye doctor so close to home.

Dr. Tina helped my son get a new prescription and the Cleary Eyecare team had him in a new pair of glasses the next day! We love the convenient location by Teravista, the ease of booking a same day appointment, the clean/modern interior, the pleasant and efficient staff- Clearly Eyecare is the total package!

We have been going to Clearly Eyecare for 2 years now. Dr. Tina does a great job fitting toric soft contact lenses. I have worn gas permeable lenses for over 25 years and she was able to help me get fitted in a more comfortable lens despite my great astigmatism'. She also got my husband fitted in some really cool glasses! She sees our daughter too and was able to put her into a more comfortable daily lens. We think that she and her staff are the best!

I am so grateful to have found Dr. Tina To and her staff at Clearly Eyecare!! They really show how much they care for their patients by going the extra mile! They took their time with me during my exam, explained potential concerns with my results, answered my questions, and even helped me pick out the best frames for my face. I HIGHLY recommend Clearly Eyecare and will definitely be back!!

Dr. Tina's great. Love going into her office and seeing all the options for glasses and contact lenses. I've been wearing contacts for probably 20 years, which means I see optometrists frequently. In those 20 years not one has asked if I rub my eyes a lot. As I thought about it, I recognized that I do. She told me to stop; that is what is continuing to damage my eyes. 20 years of doctors and not one has recognized that I rub my eyes a lot. She's great and obviously very thorough.
