Q:
Is take out available?
A:
YES, THERE IS TAKE OUT SERVICE AVAILABLE. MY QUESTION TO YOU IS WHERE IS THERE NOT TAKE OUT SERVICE AVAILABLE IN CALIFORNIA?
Simore M.Â4 months agoQ:
How do I make a reservation for the point Loma location?
A:
I'm believe they do not take any reservations for brunch unless it's a party of 8+. If you have a large party, you can call. If you are trying to make a dinner reservation, you can go through the OpenTable app.

Cocina De Barrio never disappoints, I've had their brunch and dinner plenty of times and every meal I've had here is delicious!!
I love their ceviche and their mole here.
Customer service never misses here, they're all very kind and helpful.
The ambiance is so cozy but very stylish inside, they have a couple spots where you could take cute group photos post brunch. 5/5 love love love this place.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Business owner information

single pancake (4/5):
solid pancake, nothing special but still very good.
chilaquiles verdes (3.8/5):
yummy! i liked everything, especially how the chips were still crispy when they came out. i do think the chilaquiles are significantly better at cocina 35 though.
short ribs and eggs (3.7/5):
the mole was interesting, took a while to get used it but it was good. short ribs were tender and it was the best part. i don't have much to compare the dish to as i've never had mole before.
came here for valentine's day and it was a nice experience, seems like a fun place to go to for brunch and drinks!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Grace R.San Diego, CA1279641610Mar 26, 2024
Came here after the Hot Chocolate run downtown - we opted for this location since it was farther away from the hustle and bustle from the race.
For 10:15 on a Sunday, our party of 4 was seated fairly quickly. We started with the mango aquachile which was a favorite among our table. I enjoyed my Santa Fe omelette, which had chorizo. I was pleasantly surprised of how different the chorizo tasted - had that homemade taste vs. one that was bought and squeezed out from its casing.
Overall, would go again to try their mazapan pancakes.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jan 19, 2024
Super fun late brunch here! I needed to meet a friend for a late lunch in the Midway area. I'd just been to the Cocina de Barrio in Encinitas and thought it was yummy and very vegetarian-friendly... and then Yelp showed me that there was another location of Cocina de Barrio (a fab restaurant with 3 locations) just out of the Midway and into Pt. Loma.
Now...the Midway can be sketchy for brunch and is full of fast-food restaurants. So a creative Mexican cocktail bar/vegan-friendly Mexican restaurant (with easy parking!) in this area is a godsend.
The decor inside is really cute - but I'm a patio girl in these times. My friend and I were the only ones who sat on the patio... but Alberto took excellent care of us! You know when you're the only one outside, and they forget about you? Alberto kept coming out to make sure we were good, to see if we needed refills, etc.
Onto the food! If you go before 3 pm, you can order from the brunch menu - then it switches to dinner. They have more traditional Mexican dishes like Huevos Rancheros - OR brunchy things like coconut french toast or veggie scrambles - OR you can get Emoladas, Enselada de Barrio, Sopes Benny or a Vegan Coconut Aguachile. You get the picture: lots of CHOICES at brunchtime!
I got the MAZAPAN PANCAKES after I saw so much love for them from other yelpers. $15.95, one of the better deals... AND you can add on 2 eggs + bacon for another $3.95. Don't eat bacon? No importo! You can either get 3 eggs... OR 2 eggs plus potatoes. Did I mention the potatoes are yummy? So that was an ocean of food for $20, in a chill setting, with great service. (& the food came out really fast).
My meat-eating friend got the Huevos Rancheros, which includes lamb birria, and she thought the birria was *delicious*.
Because it was daytime and I had to brave Friday rush hour freeways, I didn't get a cocktail - but I found that their coffee is yummy.
Also, Alberto was awesome - I'm giving him a second shoutout because we felt really cared for even though we were the only folks on the patio.
Great to know this is here - now I've been to two locations. Que viva Cucina de Barrio!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0Business owner information

Had brunch at cocine de barrio in the Point Loma location. It wasn't as busy as I expected on Saturday at 1045am for brunch. No line and no wait but it was raining so maybe that played a part.
Vibe was cozy and spacious once we got sat our waiter came and took our order. He was very detailed and knew what he was talking about with the different dishes. Our drinks with popsicles were cute and delicious we got the horchata drink and margarita drink!
Food was good! Forgot the names of the dishes but posted pictures. Crème brûlée toast, a dish with short ribs and another breakfast dish. I would come back :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I've been dying to try this place so what better occasion to go than for my birthday. Made a reservation for a party of 11 people a few weeks out.
On the night of my birthday dinner my whole party arrived at the same time so we checked in had to wait a bit to be seated.
Once we were seated we could tell that they were a bit overwhelmed, it was extremely busy and they had been hit with a big rush with an event that was happening near by.
By the time a server was available they did let us know there was going to be a delay in food/drinks about 30 minutes which my party was okay with.
Food did take the whole 30 minutes to come out but WOW was it worth the wait. It was absolutely delicious, everyone loved what they ordered. I even got a free birthday shot lol.
Overall, once they weren't so overwhelmed service was great, food was great. I will be making a trip back!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0Business owner information

We almost didn't try this place because they don't take reservations, but I'm so glad we did! Got there right when they opened and were seated right away (there was a small line waiting for them to open). It's actually pretty huge inside so plenty of seating although I'm sure depending on time of day there could be a wait. Plenty of easy parking. The decor is very cute, service was awesome. I got the bottomless mimosas and each time I was able to select a different flavor (favorite was butterfly). The chilaquiles were the best ever. Even towards the end of the meal, all the chips were still crunchy/ did not get soggy. Coconut French toast had the perfect amount of Nutella drizzle which made it so amazing. We didn't try their famous popsicle cocktails but we will be back again someday for sure

My friend and I stopped by here on a Saturday around noon for brunch. We were instantly seated (yay!) by the friendly host at the front.
We sat in the covered side patio which is super cute. I love all the decorations and plants they had scattered all over.
I ordered the dish with mole, short rib, it was kind of like an enchilada with eggs on top - I really liked it and thought it had great flavor. My friend got a few drinks which she let me try and they were also delicious. I definitely plan to come back here again!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information
