Unfortunately, I had a leak Christmas Eve. Water started dripping from the ceiling vent! On the Christmas tree and ruined the presents. I just had knee replacement on the 18th so I was out of commission. I'm 69. My grown daughter went up to the semi-finished attic with a sub floor. Water everywhere leaking from the handler. Looked like the pan was off to the right, not under the whole handler, she took many videos. I. called the company that installed the unit 3 years ago. They also installed a mini split in my bedroom, thousands of dollars later this happens. They sent out a technician, wanting to charge me a ridiculous amount for a diagnostic, which I paid yesterday and was not going to be subtracted from the labor cost. They said the parts were covered with a warranty but wanted to charge me close to $2600 for labor. Here is the deal they had been out 3 times in 4 months dealing with a float sensor issue, so they tilted the pvc line, which now they tell me it's a temporary fix? Why not fix it right? The technician did this issue, plus they whole unit he said was not installed properly and he had never seen such damage before, we also recorded him. They didn't install the pan right either. But the owner doesn't say " gee I'm sorry you had major surgery, how are you feeling?" or " I know you paid cash and have always done our company right" Nope, just that none of it was their fault. Now they want to charge me for a new coil, nothing else. They need to fix the pan or the crack in both pans and both pipes are busted.
I'm letting everyone know not to deal with Comfort care crew now called comfy AC , They have
changed their name. The secretary is not helpful, uninformed, she is rude and just plain unprofessional. Breaks my heart as I liked them and trusted them and paid a fortune for HVAC. Now I don't trust them and got a second opinion. The old company tech said what is all this oil when he tilted the pipe? Well its turns out he wasn't very smart it is a Freon leak, and that is what caused the coil to be damaged, so sad I had a company not knowing much. The whole install was done wrong. You have given Comfy Air as a great resource for AC & Heating to many of your friends and neighbors. We didn't hesitate to respond to your call for service this past Christmas Eve. The technician found a defective evaporator coil. The defective evaporator coil is under warranty, but not the replacement of a new liquid line drier and new refrigerant. We are licensed, insured, and certified technicians with the state of Texas. We provide a guarantee with all of our work. We do apologize for any misunderstanding on the necessary repair. You have always been one of our favorite customers and we will be here to support your HVAC needs.

Charged $300 for thermostat that only costs $50 and an additional $300 for a control panel and another $125 for service call fee. Fixed the problem, but it will cost you big time.

Hello Raymundo! We understand it can be frustrating when dealing with a home warranty business, especially when the will not cover the cost of a failed part on your home's central air system. Our "Up-Front" pricing includes the parts necessary to get the system back to running efficiently, overhead cost(insurance, office staff, vehicle fuel & maintenance, etc.), and the technician's labor(5 hours). We appreciate your trust on allowing us to get your family's comfort level in the home back in working order. We want to also thank you for your service work helping our country's Veterans!!!
