Conover Veterinary Hospital

I was visiting the area from Austin and had to bring my pup in on an emergency visit. They happily took me in as a walk-in (emergency fee applied) and were able to help us figure out what was going on. Everyone was so kind and informative. Dr. Conover and the vet tech were very clear and honest. You can tell that they truly just care about helping people who love their pets as part of their family. Everything was reasonably priced, which was a huge relief since we were far away from home.

I even got a few follow-up calls to see how my pup was doing - so sweet! I highly recommend this veterinary hospital.

The vets are great. I have always received great service, but their front desk staff doesn't have the best customer service. They are certainly not friendly. If your pets needs a good vet I recommend but don't expect the front desk staff to be friendly.

The care provided by the veterinarians here is great. They are very personable and take time with you. What I find incredibly frustrating is their phone system. I do not understand it for a business. I believe they have their phones silenced so that when you call the office it rings three times and goes to voicemail. Every time. Any time of the day, every day. I have never once (in years) had a person answer the phone when I call. They call you back from multiple different numbers so you have to have multiple numbers programmed into your phone, or turn off the setting in your phone that avoids spam calls anytime you are expecting a call back from them. Very frustrating for the customers.

The vets here are fantastic. We've been taking our dogs there for years. Dr. Conover and Dr. Patterson know their stuff. They are busy, but worth it.

If you are looking for a place that will put their all into your animals just as much as you do this is the place to go. Dr. Patterson and Dr. Conover put their hearts and souls into doing whatever they can to be at your pets needs. If their is an emergency they will find a way to fit them into their busy schedules. The staff their is amazing they are so kind and they are comforting when it comes to our pets. I will always take my fur babies here and I recommend anyone looking for a remarkable vet clinic to take their babies here as well. Thank y'all for everything that y'all do it is so much appreciated.

If there was a one star I would give it to this "vet hospital"
I took my really sick dog here as an emergency case at 12. I was told he can't be seen until 2 and I would be charged a fee because he's an "emergency case" now I don't mind the fee, as long as my dog gets better and stops vomiting.
I came back 1:40 and stayed for 2 hours and they still haven't seen my dog. I was the first person here and over 20 dogs were seen before my "emergency case dog". A man just selling pet products was even seen by the doctor before my dog! A dog that can't move without my assistant, vomiting every times he eats, yellow stuff is oozing out of his skin, having muscle spasm, and so much more!
Basically if your dog is really sick and your really worried about him/ her, don't take them here. Your dog would probably get a lot worst like mine did just waiting here.

Dr. Conover and his staff are all super friendly and whole heartedly concerned with the health of my pets. My dogs have been seen by Dr. Conover and Dr. Patterson and both of them spend the time to discuss the any issues I may have had. When my dogs have been sick they always troubleshoot the problem with the less invasive and least expensive option, which is really appreciated. They have convenient hours and it is always easy to schedule an appointment or drop by to pick up meds.

I recently had to put down one of my kitties and I feel blessed to have had Dr. Conover and his team during such a difficult time. When I moved to Seguin my kitty was 17 years old with health issues. She was sweet at home but extremely difficult at the vet and as she got older our vet visits were becoming more frequent and more traumatic (for both of us!). That is why I was so grateful to find Conover Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Conover took the time to listen to my concerns and explain all of my options so I could be confident in my decisions regarding her treatment. Even though my kitty was very difficult to examine he always treated her gently and with care. It was such a relief to truly feel I had a vet that had my kitties and my best interest at heart.
Through a number of emergency visits I also met Dr. Patterson and Dr. Juno and I can say that they share Dr. Conover's level of patience, caring, and commitment to their patients. Overall from the front desk, to the kennel staff Dr. Conover has put together an exceptional team. I am very grateful for all they did for my kitty and me and would recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional care for their pet.

Took my 11 week old puppy that was diagnosed with parvo over the weekend and told he wouldn't live till Monday, took our pup to dr conover Monday afternoon decided to leave him at the clinic, for treatment and here it is Wednesday and he is back at home and doing great! Could not be more impressed happy and grateful with this vet. Will highly recommend this vet to everyone!
