I rate this company with NO STARS. OMG Kevin is so rude and unprofessional I can't even believe it. He was scheduled to replace our A/C unit and was told before that he had to wear booties for the upstairs carpet. At that time, he, himself, wore booties to look in our attic. We waited 10 days to get this unit here to replace and on the day of replacement he told us he did not want his people to wear booties it was a waste of their time putting them on and off. He refused to do the job and said he didn't "feel comfortable". As a result we now have to begin all over again looking for a replacement. In all my years working with different service people I have never encountered a ruder more unprofessional person to work with. I can also say his workers are lazy and reflect the same unprofessionalism as their boss.

Kevin parked blocking the driveway. When my wife came home and asked him to move his truck, he got mad and walked off the job (a heater motor replacement), leaving the job half done.

I wish potential customers of Controlled Climate Inc. to be aware that this company may try to cheat city permit, without telling to the homeowner, and walk away from the contracted work by lying that the home owner didn't allow 6 feet distance to prevent Covid-19 as an excuse. Here is what happened with this company.
Kevin came to our house and estimated the work to replace Condenser and evaporator coil on early September. We have decided to use him as he sounded very knowledgeable and his quotation was reasonable.
Two weeks later, his two men crew came to our house with the AC condenser we have ordered, and the supervisor found that the condenser has to be lifted over the fence, because the door to the enclosed front yard is smaller than the size of the condenser. Then, after a discussion with Kevin on phone, they have suddenly decided not to work at the house by the reason that my wife came closer than 6 feet to the worker, which is absolutely not true. During 15 minute discussion on the street, the supervisor was not wearing mask, while my wife and I had mask because we are around 70 years old and we are high risk generation if we get infected by Covid-19.
However, I found the real reason they decided to walk away at the last moment from the phone conversation between the supervisor and Kevin. Apparently, they did not obtained city permit to save time and cost. I heard that supervisor was telling Kevin that he found a city inspectors are all over the street due to the construction of new home few door next to ours.
I believe they decided to walk away from the work scheduled, since they found the risk of city inspector find them lifting up large condenser over the fence, and afraid that they might be caught. I think they can walk away from the job, by honestly telling us that they try to cheat the city permit and apologize us rather than blaming us by false accusation.

I think this company is no longer in business. I got my entire HVAC system replaced by this vendor about a year ago and they were very responsive to get the job and through the installation/HERS testing process (this took about 7 months). However, I have been trying to reach them for months now to finish one step required of the installing contractor for the mandated HERS testing compliance that we have to meet, and I have not received any responses from Controlled Climates. It seems like they just disappeared. For months now, I've called them daily at different times, left messages after messages and emailed them weekly, and I still have not heard back from them. We still owe them 10% of the total as this is standard for until we actually get our final permit from the city for our system before we pay the remaining balance.

This vendor started out strong on service, then just took a very steep decline in service to no response at all. Now, I'm left hanging and unable to get my final permit for the system. Proper permitting is required to ensure my home insurance is valid if anything should happen or if I am trying to sell my home.

If you are thinking about utilizing this vendor, I would think twice. It is very frustrating that they just don't respond and is holding up my permit for the system.

My first impression was how honest and upfront the technician was. I had a blown fuse and he replaced it no charge! From that time on I have used Controlled Climates for all of our heating and cooling needs at our rental units and our home. Their price is also very reasonable and I appreciate that they are always on time and clean up after the work has been completed. To sum it up - honest - efficient - reliable- clean -fast.

They are as is as good as it gets!

Called Controlled Climates due to our AC not blowing cold. They were recommended by a friend. Kevin returned the call within the hour and was able to set up an appointment the next day. He showed up on time and diagnosed the problem as a slow refrigerant leak and gave me the options to fix the problem. The system was recharged and is working as it should. I want to Thank Kevin for the service and would recommend him to anyone.

This is the way Controlled Climate employee put filter in my unit. It didn't fit so they simply folded it in half and shoved it into the unit. They charged me $1100 to troubleshoot the problem with my one-year-old unit. They could've provided a filter that fit for that price.

I bought a system from Controlled Climate in December 2015 and had barely used the air conditioning until this week. The blower came on, but no cold air. In the middle of the busy season I called the company, thinking it could be awhile before they could make it over. Kevin was at my house in 30 minutes and diagnosed the problem. Unfortunately, he didn't have the part on the truck, but immediately went home to see if he had the part there. The next morning he was at the part store and they were out too. Somehow, he found someone who did have the part and had me up and running by 9:30am. It is so nice to have great service and someone you can trust.

I had just moved to the area and was having issues with my AC. I had seen their trucks out and about in my neighborhood so decided to call them. They were very friendly and got me in quickly. They were very professional and didn't overcharge for their services. We will be letting other people in the area know about their services and will use them again.

We can't say enough about Kevin. Our central air stopped working. New to the area, we asked our neighbor for a recommendation. She quickly responded by giving us the number for Controlled Climates. Kevin came and within five minutes determined the cause of the problem, which had to do with the door that was left slightly ajar on the unit. Since it was such a minor issue, he didn't charge us. Rest assured, we will call him for our cooling and heating needs.
