Having Jacob and Noe do my bathrooms and all the tile work around my place was the best decision I've ever made. They were amazing the whole time, with communication, cleanliness and workmanship. They even took my dog on a walk since I had to take off for a bit during one of the days and looked after him. When it comes to the work, I was blow away by how good of a job they did, turned my condo into a spa and added so much value. Great value, I'm so glad that I was able to find such a great company. All my friends that come over immediately ask for who did the work. I can't say it enough if you're looking for a bathroom remodel or any tile work, go with Jacob.

Just had 2 baths remodeled by Jacob and I am so pleased with them. I have some units and have been using Custom tile work co. for about 30 years. Always great work for a fair price . It is such a pleasure having a company that will be around and not go out of business next week. All I need to do is give them a call and my tile work is done.

Had a wonderful experience working with John! We had what I would call a "problem shower", the last install wasn't the best, there was water/wood damage, and the shower was in need of more structural support. In short, it was a lot to take on but John did a wonderful job. He was competitively priced, nice to work with, highly skilled, always kept me in the loop of what was happening and the shower looks amazing. Any small issues discovered after the shower was done were dealt with quickly. Super happy with how everything turned out!

This is the first remodel we have done to the house and it was an absolutely painless experience. We had heard horror stories from our neighbors from the contractors they used for their jobs. Going into this, I had that fear but Jacob delivered exactly as he promised.

We received a quote from Jacob shortly after he came and did an initial assessment of our old bathroom. We needed an entire demo and remodel. Jacob asked for my preferences, gave me his thoughts about what we wanted to do, and we tailored our job based on his expertise. We trusted him with the suggestions he gave us and we are ecstatic with the outcome.

From start to finish, Jacob always kept communication clear and steady. On days work was going to need to start earlier or later, he let us know. He always communicated when he was leaving or when he would be adjusting the work days. He was patient and answered my questions regarding methods they were using, what specific things they were doing, etc. I was completely interested in their craft and had admired the work they did from the photos they posted on their website, and from customer reviews.

Jacob finished on time and kept to his timeline that he initially gave us. Nothing was a surprise. I will say that when we had small details we were nit-picky about, Jacob quickly addressed them and changed it to our preference.

What I really appreciated was how clean the work area was kept through the entire process. Our remodel took 3 weeks and it was well worth it. I can't say enough good things about Jacob and John's company. John visited several times to check out the work and chat a bit.

I'm not sure when our next remodel is - but we will definitely be asking Jacob to come back - as well as referring Custom Tile to others. The finished product speaks for itself. He completely went above our expectations.

I will add that there were small things we noticed a few weeks after - and Jacob was quick to respond to our questions. He gave advice on how to upkeep the grout (since we have white grout and white tiles) and patched some things that had shifted due to natural land movement.

Thank you to Custom Tile for taking such good care of our home during this renovation, and for changing our bathroom experience. Jacob made our bathroom feel like a resort.

My husband and I remodeled our master and hallway bathrooms. After researching several companies, we decided to hire Jacob Varela from Custom Tile. He did an impressive job at a reasonable rate, and kept us informed on any schedule updates. In our extensive experience with contractors, that's not too common. His work area was always kept tidy at the end of the day which we really appreciated.

Both bathrooms were completely gutted including the tub and showers. We had a large new construction window installed in our hallway tub/shower. Jacob did all of our tile work except for the hall bath flooring. He worked with us to create a custom shower bench in the master and the niches I wanted, including putting a niche in the hall bath where the medicine cabinet used to be. He also installed all the fixtures and safety bars.

Jacob shared numerous ideas that enhanced and showcased his tile work, like using white tiles as shelves in our hall bath niches, and finishing the borders with the narrow white trim. It's bright, beautiful, and so modern! I'm also impressed with the detailed skinny vertical tile he installed to border the front edges of both showers, and the wrap around border into the window area by the master shower. We love our new bathrooms! I especially love my wavy turquoise shower tile and niches!

Our hallway bathroom was designed from a dream I had. Jacob helped make it a reality!

In hindsight, I'd make the 2 following changes. The first is I would mount the curved shower rod in the master bath about 3 inches closer to the edge of the shower so the curtain would hang straight down when pulled to one side. The second change would be installing a tall vertical niche in the master bath on the opposite end of the shower from the water source, like the one in the hall bath pictures. The horizontal niche is beautiful but tends to gather a little water on one side while showering. We just need to wipe it down after showers. It was our choice to design it that way, not Jacob's. He did exactly what we requested.

The detail Jacob puts into his work is amazing! He might take a couple months to get to ya but totally worth the wait considering this is work that'll be with you for years to come because he does it right! I would personally use him again for any upcoming jobs I may need! Big thanks you Jacob and his crew!

To sum up why I rated John and Jacob as outstanding is:
1. Response time in responding to my request for bid and presenting me with a thorough line per line estimate with no padding or unnecessary costs associated with their labor. I had another company bid which was so obvious they were trying to inflate their costs, that even being an novice it was evident. John did my entire kitchen for what the other bidder only would being doing half my kitchen at double the price.
2. All the positive reviews John had plus the years he had in business was a big factor. They lived up to their positive reviews and then some.
3. It is quite obvious from the start that John and Jacob know their stuff. I started out with questions that were easily answered and solved.
4. Johns relationship to the tile provider is outstanding which makes it smooth and streamline making sure you have the right product and amount for the job.
5. Jacob did the install: he showed up everyday on time, protected my floors and surrounding areas, cleaned up before he left each day. Job only took 3 days to complete.
6. Jacob's installation of glass tiles around my curved glass vent cover was amazing. I kept wondering how he would do it and if he could. I was blown away see his finished work.
7. Both Jacob and John are professionals in every way which gave me great comfort to relax while they were in my home and doing business with.

I cannot recommend John & Jacob from Custom Tile Work enough. If I could give 10 stars, I would. John helped us with our bid, initial questions, and during our tile/fixtures selection. Jacob took over the job for the demolition and installation. We are truly ecstatic with the job from start to finish. Both John and Jacob were true professionals, and it was obvious they both possess an incredible amount of knowledge around their craft. These guys don't mess around, which is exactly what we were looking for.

I think the pictures speak for themselves, but Jacob's attention to detail is second to none. For example, without even asking him, he tiled the dam to exactly match the back wall - a whole day's work in itself. He worked very efficiently, never complained about the amount of stairs we have, accommodated last minute requests, and answered all our questions and concerns. He also kept the work area neat and cleaned up after himself every single day.

You won't get this high-level work from the big box stores.

Jacob was phenomenal. His quote was reasonable and he was able to start the job right away. Great work ethic and very personable-his work was exceptional and we are so pleased with the results.
