Cutting Edge

As a SAHM with a kid under 2, it's been hard to find time to get a haircut because weekends are usually so busy. I was looking forward to getting one when in town visiting family and my sister recommended Cutting Edge. She had been there twice and really liked how her hair grew out from her haircuts there.

I love the convenience of being able to book my appointment online with the stylist of your choice. Unfortunately, I accidentally booked it for the wrong day and didn't know until I arrived. Maya was so kind to still take me even though they were fully booked, and I really appreciate it because I wouldn't have had any other time to get a haircut during our visit.

Maya was really sweet and fun to talk to. I loved how my haircut turned out! It felt so light and fresh and it looks great down or tied up.

I would give 0 star if I could. Just had the worst hair washing experience here. The service was awful and they are dishonest about the price.

Before the hair washing process began, I told my stylist, Jennifer, try not to get water on my face because I just had a laser surgery on my face skin. However, she not only splashed water on my face but also left shampoo in my right ear. Not to mention that she went to answer a phone call and opened the front door in the middle of the process.

After washing my hair, Jennifer roughly tied up my hair and put me under a hooded hair dryer so that she can attend to another walk-in customer. As the customer who made a reservation beforehand, I felt very disrespected. That hooded dryer messed up my hair and made me extremely uncomfortable. Then Jennifer blow dried my hair about 5 minutes and said she is done - most of my hair was still wet!

Finally, Jennifer said that the price for hair wash service ($10) I saw when making my appointment online is for men only. And since she blow dried my hair (only 5 mins), I will be charged $25. I wouldn't mind paying more for women's hair but she should have informed me in advance. Obviously this salon is not clear with customers about prices. She finally charged me $20 (before tips), which is more than expected.

I will never step foot to this salon again. Extremely disappointed & waste of money. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SALON!

Weirdest hair salon ever, I really don't know how they got 4+ stars. First, I received a call to ask me if I wanna go in 10 or 15 minutes because someone else cancelled? No... And when I arrived at the booked time, the first impression was that this hair salon is old and dark, it's like a rundown store that no one cares to replace any burnt bulbs. The appointment was for 30 minutes at least I believe but my hair dresser finished my hair cutting in 2 minutes, yes 2 minutes, she cut a straight line on the back, one slant cut on the left another one on the right. That's it. And she blew my hair to a 25% dryness level. When she was done I couldn't even see how the hair cut looked because my hair was basically just like pat dried and still very damp. And know what? When she was blowing my hair she even tried to fix my head to a certain angle like she was styling my hair? But she left my hair damp and called it done. This place was the weirdest ever.

Jenny and Maya are both great, I always leave loving the way I look. They're great to work with when I want to change up my style a bit. Even if I'm not completely sure what I want or how to describe what I'm thinking, I trust their judgement because I know whatever they do is going to come out looking good in the end.

I booked a same day appt for my son and was within 15 minutes of coming in. Had been looking for a barber who could handle a 2 year old squirming and give him a great haircut still. She handled everything very well and 2 weeks later still growing out well. Thank you!

Jennifer and Maya really want you to feel comfortable. Always clean, provided Wi-Fi, snack, water, coffee and tea. Trust the professionals and the process! I showed Jennifer and Maya the color I was looking for and they really nailed it. They listen to what you want and give suggestions. I don't trust anyone else with my hair. Once I found them over a year ago I can't go anywhere else. I suggest them to all my friends!

I made appointment online with anyone for my 5 years old and Debra was the one who was available. I was hoping for Maya base on Yelp reviews but I'm so glad Debra was the one who cut my daughter hair. She was patient and gentle with my daughter. I showed the picture of hair style that my daughter wanted and Debra did awesome job! She explained and gave a little tips to blowdry my daughter hair. My daughter also really happy with the result. For sure we are coming back here!

This is an amazing place and my favorite to get my haircut for an year now in Fremont. Jennifer is so nice, she remembers my preference and also suggests styles which I get lots of compliments. She asks several times how short I wanted my hair to be before every step. I absolutely loved her service!!

It's very clean. Really nice little spot and I'm glad I found a place and great hair stylist Jennifer.

Doesn't take walk ins like they said. Came 30 mins before closing and all were busy but I guess the haircutting specialist decided it was easier to speak to her coworker then to me...I'm steps away. Customer service was not up to par.

They double booked us and gave the person after us the chance to get a haircut. This place also has a very
Offsetting vibe. It also severely lacks quality.
