Service was good
Temperature inside was cold need more heat
Bread basket could be better but was ok
Pizza was great needs a longer cook time
Rigatoni vodka was phenomenal
Almond cake Dessert was bad so they took it off our bill.

Update: I was almost immediately contacted by the owner, Melissa (I told you she is trying her best, which is why I hate that I didn't love the food). She explained to me about their idea and vision for an authentic Neapolitan pizza, so I'll have to go in person to try it hot. Sometimes having something fresh out of the kitchen makes all the difference.

She also told me that she's already addressed the cacio e pepe with her chef so they can prepare it appropriately. I know that after a makeover there is a lot of staff training and menu tweaks to be done.

Just based on the fact that I want to believe in this place and Melissa's moxie, I'm upgrading to four stars. I didn't have the best cullinary experience, but Melissa's passion is worth me considering trying again, and others should at least give this place a chance.

I am always up front when I order delivery through DoorDash because I fully understand that this may affect the presentation and quality of the food. Even when allowances are made for delivery, this place really misses the mark.

I did not realize this place was recently on Gordon Ramsay's "Kitchen Nightmares." If I had, I would not have ordered because these places never make a fast turnaround, if ever.

I got the Margherita pizza. It was so incredibly watery and soggy. So soggy that I could see the water sitting on top of the basil and the crust flopped over my hand lifelessly. The sauce was thin and miserable.

I also ordered the cacio e pepe, which I knew was a big risk. A lot of places don't make this well and I am fully aware that pasta may overcook itself during transit. Again, I make allowances. But this was clearly overcooked bucatini . . . and it was practically swimming in sauce. It was almost like an Alfredo sauce rather than fresh pecorino Romano and a little starchy water. And somehow despite the fact that it was drowning in sauce, it was absolutely flavorless. Super stingy with the pepper.

I threw the majority of the meal out.

I am very sorry, Da Mimmo. The owner seems to be trying her hardest and seems very kind. I also always try to be kind . . . no one wants to end up on the "worst yelper" list for being a jerk . . . but I am stumped by all the positive reviews. My only explanation is that they are Gordon Ramsay fans who came out . . . I do notice that most of the reviews are people who have only written a few reviews. Maybe I'm an outlier. Or maybe they just don't know what good food is.

I flew to New Jersey from Wisconsin just to try Da Mimmo, and I have a few focus points:
1. The food was fantastic! I crushed a whole pizza by myself, it was one of the best Margarita pizzas I've ever eaten!! The Mimmo Bites were also fantastic!
2. The staff were very kind, and they were very quick to serve me. I was greeted with happy faces, and everyone seems to enjoy working there.
3. Gordon Ramsey did his work, the restaurant looks beautiful! Very clean!!

Well worth the flight, I would 10/10 recommend going out of your way to try this pizza!

I like pizza, and it's Lent. Surprised we never heard of them before. The staff was incredibly friendly. A quick check showed byob, but we forgot and ordered the sangria which was good. This is Neapolitan pizza. It hit the spot. As my wife explained to the waiter, our kids expired before we could sample the dessert. Next time. We waved cardboard cutout Gordon Ramsey goodbye but will be back to try the pasta and other dishes.

We had a large party, 13 people, for Easter lunch. The food was amazing, staff is so accommodating and wonderful. Our experience was fabulous!! Everyone was happy!

Found Da Mimmo through a yelp search for good Italian byob's. I really didn't know anything about the Gordon Ramsey ties and frankly that stuff doesn't matter to me. What matters is that Da Mimmo serves some of the best old school Italian food in the area . We had the polpette (amazing), a margarita pizza (very impressive), the bucatini and rigatoni. Every dish was on point ! The waiter was attentive and management genuinely cared that we had an excellent dining experience.

Made his appearance here, needless to say it was very disappointing the dough on the pizza was like a naan lacking flavor as well also had the pork ragu not terrible but not great! They also made us a caprice salad and specifically asked for just oil and vinegar he brought it with balsamic glaze my 5 yr old in the party got chicken tenders and fries that were burnt all around a bad food experience.
Service was good and decor but food so lacking sorry Da Mimmo we won't be back!

Food and service were fantastic! Meatballs, chicken parmigiana and homemade tiramisiu were exceptional. The red sauce was the key to success. Marco and the rest of the staff were friendly, attentive and phenomenal. Didn't disappoint and we'll be back to try the other dishes.

I tried Da Mimmo for the first time a few weeks ago and have brought my whole family back several times since then-- it's that good! We loved the Rigatoni Alla Vodka-- the pasta is cooked perfectly and the vodka sauce is delicate and rich. The Bucatini Cacio E Pepe and Pizza Alla Norma with roasted eggplant and ricotta salata were also both delicious. Service is friendly and attentive, and I love that it's BYOB. So happy to have such a fantastic addition to the neighborhood!

Antonio is the best. Ask him what to get and he'll tell you exactly what to eat at his restaurant. I sat at the bar watched him make beautiful pizzas in his woodburning brick oven pizza maker. The pieces look beautiful with a fluffy crush and fresh ingredients. I would highly recommend you come here and try Da Mimmo
