Dallas Paints

I was one of the worst contractor experiences that I have had in a long while. The work craftsmanship was extremely sloppy. The inner fitting of my stain glass door was cracked and my A/C was left on high in non auto mode which drove up my electricity bill. The vents were not covered which allowed dust into my attic. Milestone Heating and Air noticed all the dry wall dust when they came to my house and took pictures of it. A credit to Ben David and Owen Davolt, they did pay the bill after me complaining about it enough for the AC bill and the stain glass inlay. In addition, Ben's team was a whole week late completing the job on my newly purchased home. The taping and embedding job was not done as Ben claims and they threw a whole bunch of mud in the seams. I have pictures of this. After trying to reached Ben for a whole month via email and phone, I scheduled an appointment for Ben to come out an look at the subpar work and he switched the scheduled time on me while I was at work so I had a friend let him in and I was informed by my friend that I was being picky when it came to the sloopy mud job/tape an embedding job the workers did. I never saw Owen Davolt. From my understanding he is the owner. He stayed behind the scenes and never got involved. I was surprised to hear the one reviewer say that he met Owen and that he spoke to him. There are about 5 noticeable missed paint spots throughout the home where they were supposed have painted. That is no big deal as I can touch those up myself. It is simply the principle. Now to be fair, let's talk about the positive, although the work was sloppy, I found most of the workers to be very kind. Ben an Owen offer a low price point, but you get what you pay for. Hey, at least the unsightly popcorn is gone. Ben and Owen did pay for most of the lower end repairs. However, they gave me a ridiculous quote to fix their own larger scale mess-ups. I just have zero confidence in their work and in my opinion their work is subpar at best. On a scale of 1 to 5, Ben earned a 2. Overall, I feel Ben wants to do the right thing most of the time, but like the previous reviewer said he is interested in only the big high dollar jobs. Owen never reached out to me. This was extremely disappointing. This being said, the experience could have been worse. Emotionally, I would give them a 1 star, but objectively, I must give them a 2.

Extremely pleased with Owen and his team. From start to finish he was polite explanatory about all the steps. He helped us to find the correct colors to emphasize each room with the natural light and also cleaned up and left our home fresh and spotless. I can highly recommend Dallas paints from my personal experience. 5 stars well earned

I was looking to have the popcorn scraped off of my ceiling, so I was excited to find that Dallas paints seems to do this often. When I initially talked to their rep on the phone, I felt pressured to ensure them that I was having my whole condo (I felt as if my job was too small for them to consider). They did show up on the appointed day, but Ben was quite short with me on the phone while he was trying to find my condo (he kept interrupting me). When he showed up, he didn't have on a mask, and did not have a mask to don. He then argued with me about whether we were in a pandemic. Overall, I was not impressed with this company.

I was really impressed by this company work, Ben was very knowledgeable and help me to choose the right color for our new home, The painting crew worked very fast and they left everything clean, I'm happy I choose them, very professional I highly recommend.
