This is a great spot for quick bbq fix. The staff is super nice and friendly. Unfortunately for me it didn't meat the criteria of great bbq spot. Brisket was good but the ribs were too chewy and super fatty.
They do have a great selection of sausage for purchase in their meat market section plus some selection on the dine-in side.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - David B.Mont Belvieu, TX10014911300May 11, 2023

I came in close to closing time. So their selection was limited. My fault not theirs. What they did have left I tried some of everything. All of it was delicious. I had brisket, ribs, boudin stuffed chicken breast wrapped in bacon that was smoked !! Peach cobbler and an assortment of sides. I must of been in a meat fog because I cannot remember my sides. I do remember that they were good.
I ate this whole meal two times and I was stuffed both times. I definitely recommend them and I will be eating there again the next time I'm in the area.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jennifer V.Highlands, TX2122Feb 27, 2023

Daniel's Meat Market has great barbecue and the boudin is better than my mama's
The staff are friendly and helpful.
The dine-in area is very small , but comfortable and clean.
There is also a nice selection of meats, cheeses and deserts In the deli case.
Every Friday the barbecue sandwiches are on special if you're looking for a good deal.
This is an old-fashioned family business - no frills but lots of comfort.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Roger G.Highlands, TX06457Jun 21, 2023

It is small and outdated but the food is good. The service is quick and the bathrooms are single and not setup correctly. The cracklins are good as well as the chopped beef. It is a small crushed gravel parking lot so you will get dirty. Overall nothing bad about the service and food. Everyone is nice and helpful and the plant workers seem to love eating here.

Good bbq when one is craving it, don't go to judge. Staff is great seem to like what they do and helpful. The place gives it a good hole in the wall place that you know the food fixing to be good specially the sides. Definitely recommend the rib sweet seasoning for your next cookout, made me win a competition.

Been wanting to try this meat market for a while and finally got around to it today. They close a bit early (6:30) so if you're wanting to catch dinner plan accordingly. We went for a late lunch and it was dead. By the time we left it was pretty busy with dine in orders and also to go orders. When you first enter you're greeted by large case of meats to buy ranging from sausages, bacon, filets, stuffed pork chops and more. At the end of the line is the ready to eat food. Pretty basic menu, 1-3 meats, specialty meats including bacon wrapped chicken breast stuffed with boudin, bacon wrapped jalapeños, cheddar boudin and some different types of sausages. We got 2 2 meat trays with some sides. Meats we tried were spicy boudin link, cheddar boudin ball and regular boudin ball (massive!), Reo Sausage (jalapeño & cheddar, so freaking food) and bacon wrapped boudin stuffed chicken breast. Sides were dressing (very good!), Mac and cheese (could be creamier), pinto beans, mashed potatoes. By far the best side was the dressing, and they even some of their brisket gravy on top, let's go!! By the our favorite meat was the Reo sausage! Creamy from the cheese with a little kick and crunch from the skin, was so good! The other meats were fine, not as flavorful and on the dry side. I would come back for that sausage and a side of the dressing! If you're around and looking for some good meats give them a try. Plenty of options to take home as well.

They have been through some changes the past few years. I miss their stuffed pork chops.
