I was in a wedding and was told we'd be renting the tuxes from this place. I received the invoice and the rental was very high. I called to try and negotiate a lower price and was told by the owner, Franco, "my prices are better than the big box stores." I didn't know competitive prices so I took him at his word. After the call, I started price comparing and checked several "big box" places and all of their prices were 50-100 less.
I called back a few weeks later to ask more details about his competitors and was met with a very defensive and condescending tone. Franco kept speaking over me, interrupting me, and kept giving me vague answers that his prices are better. He couldn't tell me anything more. I told him I'd gladly rent from him if they are, in fact, lower. He became very irate and told me to rent elsewhere. I reminded him he was speaking very rudely and that's not how to speak to a customer to try and earn their business. He then bragged about how much his business is worth and told me he doesn't need my business! I never told him I was renting elsewhere but when I got off the phone, 15 minutes later my invoice was canceled.
After this happened, he called the groom immediately and told him. The groom then spoke with me to find out what happened. After the groom spoke with someone at the store (unsure if it was Franco), it turns out we were all given the wrong price. Now, was this done on purpose? Perhaps. They probably weren't anticipating someone calling them out on their absurdly high prices and assumed we'd all just pay the price on the invoice. The price quoted to the groom was about $75 less than the invoice I initially received. Given how I was spoken to and learning of all this, it seems this business is extremely dishonest and tried swindling a few extra dollars out of all of us. If this wasn't the case, it all could've been resolved a lot sooner if Franco would have taken the time to listen to a customer and looked further into the matter instead of being argumentative and dismissive.
I wouldn't patronize his business if the tux was free and that's his loss because I am getting married in 4 months and 9 people are going to need rentals.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hello Dennis. This morning, I emailed you asking your permission to call you to discuss your feedback. You denied my request. This is the first time anyone has stated what you said in a review and we would have liked to investigate further.
Since you were an out-of-town wedding guest, you submitted your measurements on our website on February 24, 2022. We sent you an electronic invoice for the rental on that same day; the invoice can be paid online. On March 14, 2022, you called our store and asked if we “could do better on price” for the rental; you had not paid the invoice yet. We explained that we already went over the pricing with the bride and groom, that we have over 70 different styles of tuxedos and suits for rent with 7 different price points. Our prices include everything a groom and groomsmen will need. The bride and groom chose what you were going to wear and that drove the price of your rental. We met with them twice; no one indicated that they were not in agreement with the price.
We have a printed price list in the store showing all prices; there are no hidden costs or fees. We also explained that our pricing is very competitive with other stores in the Philadelphia region. The bride and groom chose an Allure Men tuxedo for the groomsmen and fathers and an Ike Behar for himself. All wonderful tuxedos and suits, however they are both top designers and priced accordingly. You called back a day or so later and stated that you found other places with lower pricing, although you did not know exactly what you were wearing for the wedding so it is unclear how you were able to make that determination.
At Darianna Bridal & Tuxedo, when a wedding party has 5 adult renters or more, the groom’s tuxedo or suit rental is completely free. On March 23, 2022, after the original invoices were issued, the groom informed us that he would like to divide his free tuxedo among all of the groomsmen. We immediately canceled your original invoice (that you had not yet paid) and issued a new one to you reflecting the pro-rated free tuxedo that your brother was kind enough to share with the groomsmen. Clearly if someone contributes money to your rental the cost will go down; it is not “swindling”.
Each of you paid $180 plus tax for a full tuxedo rental including jacket, pants, vest, shirt, tie, pocket square, shoes, cufflinks and damage waiver. One of the out-of-town groomsmen already paid his invoice on February 24th before the groom decided to share his free tuxedo and we refunded him his share of the free tuxedo.
We try very hard to accommodate everyone’s needs. We feel that $180 plus tax for an Allure Men tuxedo is an outstanding value. Our costs have gone up in 2022 however, because this was a carry-over COVID wedding, we respected and only charged the lower 2021 pricing to the bridal party. The staff here are so wonderful and knowledgeable! They have a great selection of wedding dresses and really want to make you feel at ease when trying on dresses. Offer great feedback and information on the different designers and styles. Loved getting my dress here and my interactions with the different sales personnel! I recommend them to anyone looking for a wonderful bridal experience.

We felt like we were in a rushed business deal rather than an enjoyable, special mother-daughter time together. Big dissapointment. We were horribly rushed through our 90-min booking, not even using all of our time before we were hurried out. We wondered if we were either wasting their time or they may have another client coming in soon and we needed to move along. Same booking time elsewhere with same number of dresses tried on - totally different vibe. Our helper did not wait the 3 minutes for me to return from the bathroom, going ahead with my daughter without me. No water offered, no getting to know the bride, no common courtesy talk, no help in and out of dresses. We were helped with everything elsewhere. My daughter and I were rudely interrupted while talking about the first dress she had on, being told by the helper that it was time to move on and change to the next dress. We were stunned. The help refused to get completely out of our pictures, even when I asked her to. When I spoke of our concerns to the owner at the end, I was given defensive replies without being heard, acknowledged or apologizing. I've personally been in my profession in the wedding myself industry for over 40 years, and my customers are always validated and always come first in my expertise AND my treatment of them. Without that, its just another sale. This day is SPECIAL and one that mothers and daughters dream of together for years...we look forward to you helping to make it so. The way you make us feel is so much a part of it!!! The store was clean and just beautiful, and the dresses were top-notch with an excellent selection, but the atmosphere was 100% lacking beginning to end. On our first day dress shopping, this 2nd store was the highest, most-anticipated one on our list, but was a severe let down with the hurried impersonal attitudes and basic lack of caring about us as customers, that we were anticipating from such a high-end store, like we recieved wonderfully elsewhere both before and after this appointment. Attitude sets your altitude. Definitely DO go here for the fabulous, unparalled selection (truly beautiful), but don't expect a relaxed, caring experience.

Deirdre, thank you for your feedback. I would like to speak with you directly to apologize. We never want anyone to have a poor experience and a review like this is extremely rare. My name is Wendy, my husband and I own the store, we were not there at the time of your visit.
I have spoken with both Maria (your Stylist) and Suzanne (the Manager to whom you spoke), and read the appointment notes from the conclusion of your visit.
Upon arrival, you told Maria there was “a dress to beat”. Maria had already done her research and pre-pulled a number of dresses based on the preferences sent from the bride. Maria wanted to get your daughter in dresses that she actually liked, or that were at least as good as/better than the other dress. It is not a productive use of appointment time to stay in dresses that the bride does not like, rather move on try on more that she might love.

I went to Darianna in September of 2020 to look for my wedding dress. I had a good idea of what I wanted and had pictures to show Daria (my consultant) when I got there. She was AMAZING at listening to what I liked and she helped me find my perfect dress on my very first day of shopping. She was so kind and helpful and definitely made the whole experience enjoyable. She even remembered me each time I came back in and was always quick to respond with any questions I had. We also decided to get the guys' tuxes here and everyone was always nice and professional. If you are getting a certain number of tuxes (six I think), the groom's tux is free. They definitely go above and beyond to ensure we looked and felt great on our wedding day!

Would NOT recommend. The owner Franco is very unorganized & almost ruined our wedding
Out of 10 groomsmen, they gave nearly half of our tuxedos the day BEFORE the wedding with no adjustments to be made.
I was promised my tuxedo for example over a week in advance to be able to make adjustments only to get it a few days before the wedding instead.
Franco himself even told me to come pick up my pants. When I showed up, I had wasted my time and gas since my pants weren't there and actually he just ordered them that morning.

Darianna Bridal was recommended to me by a friend. My daughter will be getting married next summer and we were in the beginning stages of a bridal dress hunt. Neither she nor I are big shoppers and were not really sure if we were looking forward to the experience. Well, I have to say, I was so delightfully surprised with our shopping experience. We thought we were just looking... But in the end, she said YES to the dress! Ariana was our associate. She was ready for us with our appointment ...spent a few minutes, speaking with my daughter, taking a look at, her Pinterest page and sample photos of dresses. She and Ariana went through the racks and quickly identified about 10 dresses that fit the bill. Ariana was so helpful in the dressing area ...talking about each dress...what alterations could possibly be made... listening to my daughters comments about each dress and narrowing the choices down. In all honesty, she didn't think she would be buying a dress that day... Neither did I. But Ariana was the perfect associate. Your store had a wonderful selection of gowns and your staff was knowledgeable and helpful. Arianna also took some cute." said yes to the dress" photos both with the gown on and later at the front of the store when she was back in her regular clothes. I am so glad my friend recommended Dariana Bridal...I would definitely go there again.

I'd like to respond by saying the only thing you actually got right was the date...it was Feb. 28,2020. Other then that nothing you said is true. You need to check your facts and I urge you to rewatch the video. Because I didn't take a belt which by the was only $250. Not very expensive. Trust me I would have easily paid for it if I wanted it.
Instead of addressing everything you said I'm going to just tell you one important piece of information. I was wearing a dress not a skirt. So every bit of you said I did is impossible. There's no way I could have stuffed anything in my waist area.
If you have nothing to hide why don't you prove your point by letting my lawyer and I view the video. Because you are wrong about my lawyer seeing it. He asked to view it but was told no by the Sargent. He was also told by the Sargent that he wasn't going to bring it to the preliminary hearing. And we both know that is what would have put an end to this whole thing.
By the way just because it did not cost you anything to accuse me and take me to court it actually would cost me a lot. I would have had to pay my lawyer 15,000 on top of the $5,000 I paid to hire him. All to prove I did not steal a $250 belt.
While you pay nothing. That is the only reason I did not continue on with this charade?

Debbie, thank you for the opportunity to allow us to provide a response to your review. On February 28, 2020, during your second visit to our store to find your sister’s wedding dress, we have you on video stuffing an expensive bridal belt down the back and side of your skirt. In the video, you can hear your sister saying “Put it back!” The video was taken from our tuxedo area aimed in the guest viewing area of our bridal suite. We have no cameras anywhere near our dressing rooms. When we provided the video to the police, they found adequate evidence to charge you with the crime. The Warrington Township police contacted you that same day. You immediately returned to our store and began threatening our employees and one of the owners using incredibly homophobic and vulgar language. We called the police who physically escorted you out of the store. A police order was given to you to not return to our store or risk being arrested. On the day before your hearing where the video evidence was going to be shown to a judge, we received a call from the arresting police officer, Sergeant Sadowski. Your lawyer proposed that you pay for the belt to avoid being charged with the crime. We agreed to the arrangement and your criminal defense attorney personally came to our store and paid for the belt. We provided him with a receipt since there was still a hearing scheduled on the matter the next day. Sgt. Sadowski informed us that we no longer needed to attend the hearing since an agreement was made to settle the matter. A Warrington Township police officer attended the hearing and you were not charged only because we agreed to accept the payment for the belt the day before the hearing. If you were so certain of your innocence, we do not understand why you would have agreed to pay for the belt in order to avoid criminal charges? Certainly, the video would have forced the judge to a different conclusion. The police showed your lawyer the video and after that viewing, he prudently advised you to pay for the belt. Thank you for the opportunity to clear this up!
Dec 23, 2021Previous reviewBeware ladies, they stalk and watch you on their cameras as you're undressing. I was here with my sister for about an hour as she tried on a few dresses. 3 hours later I received a phone call from the police. I was being accused of stealing a belt.
When I left the the store the owner apparently followed me out and took my license plate number. He could have just approached me and asked me and I could have proven to him right then and there that I had not taken anything. But instead this coward & paranoid man lied to the police and claimed he was an eye witness. He is a liar...I had to hire a lawyer to prove my innocence. So a word of advice...as you are planning your perfect day I highly suggest to everyone to do your bridal shopping elsewhere. Although I did not find my wedding dress with Darianna Bridal I had an AMAZING experience here! I was able to work with Marissa and could not have asked for a better associate to help me! it was my first time trying on dresses and she was absolutely amazing. She listened to what I had to say and was helpful, sweet, kind and professional throughout the entire appointment. I wish I had found my dress at this boutique but either way 10/10! would recommend friends and family to go here!!

I've been absolutely blown away by my experience at Darianna's so far! Picking out my dress with Daria was a dream. My appointment was later in the day so I had the whole shop to myself, and Daria was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was incredibly friendly and helpful, but in no way overbearing. I truly felt like she wanted to help me find my perfect dress, not just make a sale. I did request a change to the dress and worked with Wendy via email, who responded so quickly to all of my questions and went above and beyond to ensure that I was getting what I wanted. They also have a number you can text at any time that goes directly to the owners - I got a response to my text within minutes. I'm thrilled I was able to find my dress at Darianna's, not only because I love the dress, but because their staff is amazing. Looking forward to the rest of the process with them!
EDIT: since I posted my review early in the wedding planning process, I wanted to add that Darianna's continued to exceed my expectations at every possible step. My dress arrived on time, if not a little early, and the changes I requested had been relayed to the designer perfectly. The seamstress they recommended was wonderful. We got the guys suits through them as well, and were pleased with the number of options and the ability to try on multiple things sized correctly for my now-husband. We had a last minute groomsman change thanks to the pandemic, and the owner and staff went above and beyond to accommodate the new groomsman. Every single person we interacted with was friendly, personable, knowledgeable and helpful. Their text line goes directly to the owner, who responds within minutes. Darianna's is the only place you'll need to go for your wedding! Beautiful dresses, huge selection of dresses and tuxedos, our entire family was able to find exactly what they were looking for! Wonderful, customer service, absolutely everyone who works there is so friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Truly made planning our daughter's wedding a pleasure. Highly recommend!
