Just. The. Best.

I called last minute on NYE, yes, New Years Eve in NYC, to see if I could get in for a trim. Walked in unsure of what would happen and where I was going. Walked into a gloriously warm salon and the hairdresser of my dreams. I got a wash, condition, blow, cut and flat iron and was out in less than 2 hours, most of that time is because my sister and I got so deep into conversation with Daryle that there were long pauses for us to clutch out pearls and drop to our knees and catch our breaths!

Daryle is a true professional who knows his craft well. He is warm and personable and knows how to listen to his clients needs. I currently live in miami and will now purposely route my business trips through NYC just so he can take care of my tresses.

Great guy but no attention to detail and questionable skills .... my shape up is uneven , my layers are uneven and I'm really disappointed... one side looks as if he didn't attempt to shape it up at all....

Reviewing my old review.... I never got an answer... almost as if the owner only cares about money... I can't back a company that refuses to answer basic questions about prices. I'm deaf and wanted to try this place out, I messaged the owner for prices related to trims/wash/dry/style.... i was ignored....I don't get services done without knowing how much it's going to cost.

Daryle is a God send! I was nervous about blowing out my hair because it's been three years. Daryle made me feel at ease from the minute I sat down. I've never relaxed my hair and it is thick and curly. Daryle washed/conditioned/blow dried and flat ironed my hair. It was a pain-less experience! (Which is great because I am tender headed). He was informative and personable. I absolutely love my hair. My hair is shiny/bouncy/ and my length is there despite the trim I received. Do yourself and your hair a favor and book Daryle for your next hair appt!!!! He is worth every penny. :)

This man has done more for me than he'll know. I've been covering up my natural hair with wigs and weaves for the better part of 8 years. I've never been confident in my own skin and it's been tearing me apart. I've been growing out my natural hair for about 6 months without any sort of treatments (no relaxers, no heat). On a whim, I decided to go to Daryle solely based off of his yelp reviews, and I was so insanely pleased with my experience.

I got a hair cut with shampoo and conditioning. His assistant did the washing and blow drying. She really took her time with me and payed close attention to my needs. I haven't been to a salon in years and I don't apply heat to my hair, so the blow out was a little much for me. I didn't have to say a word, she sensed I was uncomfortable so she simply turned down the heat and worked a little more slowly. I really appreciated that!

Then came Daryle. I don't know what kind of magical flat iron he has, but he transformed my naturally nappy hair into something that was so sleek and edgy (four days later and my hair is still perfectly straight). The best part is that it still feels so healthy! Normally when I apply a ton of heat, my hair gets really stringy and gross. When Daryle went in, my hair came out soft, fluffy and totally alive. Words don't do it justice. Pictures don't do it justice. Everything was insanely perfect. Best $150 I've spent in a while.

Also, the man's personality is completely fabulous. He has great stories about his travels and knows how to hold up a meaningful conversation. It's really obvious he's passionate about his art.

I really think I've found my hair guy for life! No more wigs for me :)

I get appointments very easily. He always starts on time and I don't have to wait for him.

I've been to Daryle twice so far and both times have been a great experience! I've gotten a shampoo, deep conditioner, reconstructive treatment, and a blowout. He and his assistant really take their time with you, and even when business gets hectic it never feels like they're rushing you around. I'd say always make an appointment though if you can!

He's a real nice guy who can hold a nice conversation with you and give you great tips for your hair without being pushy or self-righteous (as some stylists can be!). He also listens to what you want.

It's a little on the pricey side (aren't most places in Manhattan?) but both times I've walked out of the salon I feel like it was worth every penny. Lemme get my money up and I'll definitely go back!

He saved me from myself. After moving to SoCal and realizing my hair care needs would be left to my own devices after a year of searching for someone decent and failing. While visiting for a family party I found Daryle on Yelp and not only will he be my go to, I recommend him place to anyone who's hair needs a healing. I rock a curly fro usually and he gave me what I asked, a cute press and cut to give me shape and maintain health. Plus who doesn't love being able to book online!

Daryle is a true professional, a wonderful communicator and loves what he does. I am so happy that I found him on Yelp. The staff in the reception area were pleasant and welcoming. Everyone greeted me. All of the stylist (whom I witnessed) appeared happy to be there and no one seemed to have a chip on their shoulder, which you sometimes encounter is "black" salons. Daryle listened to my hair issues, asked appropriate questions to clarify my description of what I liked and didn't like and he even probed a little into my personal life (like what I do for a living). I think that talking to your client (especially a new one) is so important so that the stylist can get an idea of what your lifestyle is like and they can then anticipate how to suggest the best style for you. I am thankful that I found Daryle. I will be visiting him again and again. Thank you for saving my sanity and making me look

Came to NY for a friends bday and desperately needed my hair done. I called Daryle the day before I arrived and asked for a Friday appt. To my surprise he took me.

Overall the experience was not bad. He was nice and his assistant was very caring. During the washing process, the assistant was gentle and took her time to detangle my hair. I enjoy her service.

I had to wait about 3 hours to finally get to Daryle's chair (but I guess it's understandable because my appt was last minute). Daryle did an OK job straighten my hair. He used oil while flat ironing the hair, which left it a little stiff. But I appreciated the oil because I knew he wasn't frying the hell out of my hair. He didn't style it much, which left me a tad disappointed. The flatiron lasted about a week.

I got a wash, deep condition, and flat iron. That came to $100. I thought that was overpriced for what I received.

Would I go back....possibly.
(btw, I have 4C hair all natural)
