Dr. Aizuss is an incredible ophthalmologist. Probably one of my least favorite types of doctors, other than dentist, to visit. As a diabetic, whose mother lost her vision to diabetic retinopathy, I knew how important it was to find a doctor who I could trust, was up to date on the latest treatments, technologies and medical advances and who, along with his staff, made me feel comfortable. There is a reason he was voted a Super Doctor - a doctor that OTHER doctors go to! The convenience of either seeing him out his West Hills or Encino office made it much easier to schedule a time that worked for me. Both offices have a great eyewear department but in particular, his Encino office, offers beautiful, unique eyewear that is impossible to find anywhere else. I have purchased several pairs of the Onorico frames that are so unique that after a lifetime of wearing only contact lenses, have converted me to an eyeglass wearer. Not a day goes by that I don't receive compliments on how fabulous my glasses are! I cannot recommend him enough though he books up weeks and months in advance so I'd encourage anyone making a routine appointment, to make sure to give themselves plenty of time. Their offices are always pretty packed but they have a large staff who try to move patients along as quickly as is safely possible.

I have trusted Dr. Aizuss with the care of my vision for many years, and he has taken great care of my eyes. I generally believe that when it comes to doctors, less is more. And our eyes are very special organs that we rely on for our quality of life; so I have been reluctant to submit to invasive treatment or procedures. However, I found Dr. Aizuss so expert and trustworthy that I have had two invasive eye surgeries and my vision is again 20:20.
I recommend him without reservation for lens implants for people with cataracts, and I also recommend him for LASIK survery to improve vision for people who prefer not to wear glasses because glasses interfere with their athletic interests or because they misplace their glasses because of age related memory loss. Dr. Aizuss can help people of any age enjoy everything more with enhancement of the important sense, vision. He's a trustworthy, reliable expert In his field. Most people seem to accept that "an expert is a guy from out of town." Not so with Dr. Aizuss. He's an expert due to his knowledge and excellence in the practice of Ophthalmology.
Also, he's respectful of his patients' time. His office runs smoothly, and he stays on schedule. His staff are skilled in their specialty contributions, and they are always courteous and efficient.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - OneSmartCookie X.Los Angeles, CA3242Jul 4, 2017
I have been a patient of Dr. David Aizuss for more than 20 years. He is an amazing physician & I feel fortunate to have this skilled professional in my life. Though I know from his academic background that he is brilliant, Dr Aizuss' expert knowledge is evident in every aspect of his medical practice. This doctor not only sees me at my annual exams, but I trusted him to perform both of my cataract surgeries this year. Knowing that Dr Aizuss was my surgeon, I was confident that my eye operations would be successful even prior to each surgery. In fact, both surgeries were easy and for the first time in half a century, I see perfectly thanks to Dr Aizuss.
I remember one time several years ago on a Saturday morning, I panicked because I saw something floating in my eye. Dr Aizuss dropped everything, which included leaving his parents who were visiting from Chicago, & rushed to his office to see me.
Dr Aizuss has a great sense of humor and an incredibly kind and caring bedside manner. I always have an easy time talking to him & leave conversations feeling validated & reassured. There is no other doctor who has been in my life as long as Dr Aizuss and I cannot say enough wonderful things about his level of expertise as an ophthalmologist & a surgeon as well as the excellent way he interacts with patients.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nancy F.Tarzana, Los Angeles, CA566May 16, 2019
I have been a patient of Dr. Aizuss for more than 20 years. I just completed cataract surgery on both eyes, even though I am one of his younger "cataract" patients. I now have 20/20 vision. The world is brighter, crisper and more clear thanks to the talents of Dr. Aizuss. He is an amazing physician and highly skilled surgeon. He makes you feel at ease when you are at the surgery center. His office staff is competent and efficient. I highly recommend Dr. Aizuss without hesitation.

I had cataract surgery on my right eye two weeks ago and my vision was to the point that I couldn't see. It was corrected to 20/20. I can't say enough, about how pleased I am with this procedure, and the steady hands of Dr. Aizuss. I have diabetes, and had a particularly aggressive cataract form. So happy to be able to see better than I did as a kid! Dr. Aizuss is an amazing surgeon! Highly recommend!!

My husband has seen Dr Aizuss for 20 years, me for 12 years. He was ok 12 years ago, but his practice has declined. He performed 2 surgeries on me-for cataracts, very bad results. He kept me waiting for appointments too long, appears to be overbooked. He referred me to a retinologist in his office who kept me waiting 3 hours while I had a painful migraine. I kept reporting to staff, got to the point of weeping from pain. I consider that event as cruelty. Dr Aizuss could not give me proper vision after 2 surgeries, said he could not determine the problem. I cannot see well, am going to UCLA. He also did a corneal transplant for my husband that contained a virus. He is still on meds for that issue It was an uneven transplant, and my husband has to have custom contacts, not covered by insurance. I witnessed the practice routinely making patients wait hours for their visits, including myself. I will never go there again. It appears they over book patients, spend very little time, and miss the details. I will go to UCLA in the future. I have convinced my husband to go to another ophthalmologist. He is pleased with the new guy. This practice appears to be more interest in money, not patient care. Be careful folks.

I had LASIK surgery with Dr. Aizuss about two months ago. My vision is amazing - better than 20/20. Dr. Aizuss and his staff made me feel completely comfortable throughout the process. There is a bit of discomfort in the first 12 hours or so after surgery, but that's it. I would recommend LASIK to anyone who is eligible and I would definitely tell you to go to Dr. Aizuss. He was referred to me by a local surgeon, so you know he's the best.

I recently underwent cataract surgery performed by Dr. Aizuss with outstanding results! I was provided with complete instructions for both the pre-op and post-op phases of the surgery and was contacted several times by his office to ensure i understood everything associated with the surgery. I am writing this almost a month after the surgery and have experienced absolutely no pain or unpleasantness of any sort. Were it not for the vast improvement in my vision and the normal month long eye drop regimen, I would not even know I had a surgery. In his regular practice what becomes obvious after a couple regular office visits is that his meticulous attention to detail extends past the surgeries and into his office practice. You can do no better in Southern California.
